Netflix makes a series about the Regency period (from a romance novel series set in England - late 1700s, titled Bridgerton) and over half the actors are black, Asian, or Indian. Playing the parts of wealthy white merchants and aristocrats.
It happens in almost everything they produce - particularly period pieces. It is bizarre.
