Understand we actually ingest quite a lot of bugs and or parts in flour and baked goods. Also told a tour of Hersheys plant would turn you off chocolate forever.
Not sure about today, but on the northern plains, in the General Mills plants I knew of 25-30 years ago, beetle or insect contamination could shut it down it a hurry. Or mouse. BTW, one the highest paid at the plant was the miller, those I knew took insurance policies on their fingers, for they had to be able to gauge the flour grade by rubbing samples thru their fingers.
As a disclaimer, my wife and I have swore off grains for many years. Grains may be the enabler for civilization, the first modern states and the first taxation, but they are nutritional dead ends.

I immediately opened up the door 🚪 to my car 🚗, spit out what was in my mouth and what was left in the tumbler!!!
