Obsession with the new shiny toy of AI ultimately will destroy our country’s resources. AI is a huge consumer of energy and water. And no amount of cloud seeding and geoengineering (additional health hazards) can make up for the consumption. While AI speeds up research, it cannot replace analytical HUMAN thinking and commonsense — something in short supply, especially during the last 5-10 years.
Here’s a good article regarding AI and resources from one of Idaho’s best Senators:
One of the scariest things and one of the promising things about AI -is the planned use of mini nuclear reactors. They plan to start rolling them out around 2030.
If and when this happens, those reactors will change the world and national economies.
This is a future that no one is talking about. Because it isn't going just to transform AI's strength - it has the potential to transform everything.
Sen. Zuiderveld mentioned a 462-megawatt small modular reactor in her article. Is that the same as the mini nuclear reactors you mention? (We’re not up-to-date on all the latest nuclear tech, so forgive our ignorance.)
Nonetheless, we can tell you definitively that we don’t want any nuclear reactor — large or mini — in our back yard or anywhere nearby.
As Senator Z mentioned, the corporate and government officials touting these technologies were tall on slick answers and short on facts about the AI projects they are planning for hapless residents who have little choice about what’s done to them. Many tout “new jobs,” but those jobs quickly evaporate once the energy glugging data centers are built.
Nuclear waste, radiation hazards, excessive energy and water use, environmental destruction, and heaven knows what else could await the AI overexcited. And what will AI do to the cost of energy for us peons who simply want to stay warm in winter, cool in summer, and run family farms? No one is talking about this either.
While we might be able to transform everything in the future, we had better research CAREFULLY the many unintended consequences of barreling starry eyed into AI — BEFORE we get to that future. One we’ve arrived in the future, it’ll be too late. There’s no going back to the future (except in movies).
Like AI, mRNA platforms and 5G cell towers were supposed to transform the future and were promised to be safe and effective. While they HAVE transformed the future, they’ve been neither safe nor effective. In fact, they’ve devastated the health and well-being of untold millions. Will AI leave us to the same fate? Time will tell, but given humanity’s track record with “technology,” the answer could be “Yes.”
We lived for millennia without AI, and should consider pausing it — or at least not running headlong into the unknown as the Trump Administration wants to do. Being “First in AI” and “Beating the Chinese” aren’t good when you’re heading lemming-like off a cliff or jumping into an alligator 🐊 pond. The lemmings are dead and the alligators are hungry.
On your same page, BIG E. EVERYONE I speak to: young, old, right, left, ALL don't want this!
Started watching a fun old series, The Rockford Files. It features Really cool cars, and lots of car chases! I think when watching ... what are these leaders (and Elon) drinking? Do they think we really want 24/7 surveillance, no-driver cars, robots, Depressing tech buildings sucking up our water? It's all so cold, and boring - what will we do? Will adventure and daring FORM us no more?
Yes, The Prisoner is one of my favorite series. Watched it when it originally came out as a summer replacement series. Also loved the precursor, Secret Agent. Oh, and what about The Avengers with Patrick McNee and Diana Rigg (she was my crush as a kid -- M as in man, appeal, read that it was deliberate). Gotta hand it to the British back then. Now all there stuff seems to be woke junk.
I used to sit and watch Rockford Files and knit on a Saturday in my pre-family days. I was too poor to do anything else. God those were simpler times and only less than a quarter of a century ago.
Sorry small nuclear reactors are likely the future for neighborhood power. It will take many years. Reactors the size of refrigerators buried and replaced every 20 years. Fuel fully recycled. Fuel perhaps Thorium.
LAST WEEK I WATCHED THE ENTIRE TWO HOUR DOCUMENTARY ON CHERNOBYL; YOU SHOULD WATCH IT. I REMEMBER WHEN IT HAPPENED LIKE YESTERDAY: WHAT I REALLY LEARNED ASIDE FROM THE GROSS INCOMPETENCE OF HUMANS HANDLING RADIOACTIVE SUBSTANCE IS HOW THE USSR ACTUALLY HID THE FACT THAT THE CHERNOBYL HAPPENED AND HAD A MAY DAY PARADE AND PEOPLE WERE BREATHING RADIOACTIVE AIR.. TURNS OUT THAT WASN'T AS BAD AS PREDICTED BUT IT DID SHOW HOW MUCH CONTROL A GOVT CAN HAVE OVER PEOPLE... IN A CRISIS. THEY JUST MAKE IT UP AND PEOPLE BELIEVE IT. LET'S NOT EVEN GET INTO THE FACT THE US BLEW UP NUCLEAR TEST BOMBS IN NEW MEXICO. THE TRINITY TEST BOMB. WELL I AM WAY OFF TOPIC: https://youtube.com/shorts/d5rlj8Qq5Zg?si=36ZaaOjXq4mSIjo5 BUT THERE IT IS TRINITY TEST BOMB. OK.. HAVE A NUCLEAR FREE DAY :)
We are in the midst of a major squabble in MD over a proposed landlines (destroying farms and property values) to feed a VA data center. Nuclear reactors are , to me, the clear answer. Somehow, no one is mentioning it.
Yes, we need more nuke plants. I believe it is hard to find an energy source that has killed less people than nuclear electric generation.
Just throwing this out there as food for thought. God put that uranium, thorium, etc. (huge energy source) in the ground. He must have had some useful plan for it.
In the mid 80’s, I remember doing research in college using the catalog card system. It was tedious, but I had to learn about the authors and who to read, and who had credibility. Then came the internet—faster, but I’m still old school.
I used to do word studies using Strong’s Concordance. Again, slow and tedious, but as I traced words back to its prime meaning in Hebrew or Greek, my understanding of its usage opened up a whole new world. I love the feel of books, and I write and underline in most of them, even “PsyWar” 😆.
I know it’s not Kosher, but I ask questions or make statements in the margin, and if my children ever peruse my books after I die, they might learn why I think the way I do—they will either appreciate it, or shake they’re heads.
All that to say I’m not a fan of AI, for many reasons. Thanks for the article.
I was thinking of SMR's right before I read your sentence. I even bought a little of their stock because I think they answer the energy problem. I have mentioned it, but people go right to fear. I do think though it is really important that we discuss the issue of how we dispose of nuclear waste. I wrote on another site about the difference between living in The Gilded Age, the series is playing I think on Netflix maybe not, and the 1960's. What a short period of time for such unbelievable changes to transpire, and I think we are facing similar transformations ahead. If we saw a movie of the future, it would make our heads spin. I imagine Henry VIII for example on a hunt and crossing a time threshold and finding himself on a freeway, with planes flying overhead, fire sirens, the sound of the traffic, etc. He would fall off his horse and mostly die of a heart attack.
ACTUALLY THAT IS THE LEAST SCARY THING ON THE AGENDA: THE NUCLEAR REACTOR PART. WE CAN ACTUALLY MANAGE THAT QUITE WELL IN THE USA.. IT IS THE A.i. PART WHICH IN THEORY ALL ALL THAT ENERGY IS NEEDED... FOR THE DATA CENTERS.. THE WHOLE THING SOUNDS CRAZY A LITTLE.. LIKE NASA SENDING UP SPACE STATIONS WHICH KEEP BLOWING UP AND STRANDING ASTRONAUTS.. i AM BEGINNING TO WONDER ABOUT THE SANITY OF THE WORLD GOV'TS INCLUDING OURS. !!
Oh no!! That absoutely cannot happen. AI can't have the keys to nuclear. If it has an attack of depression or nihilism whilst at the helm, or even worse, genocidal mania, God only knows where we'll be. Is AI shaping up to be the new threat? The new big bad boss whose reaction (no pun intended), we are supposed to fear provoking?
Or is this some way of breaking it to us gently that they already did it, and now they can't get it back in the bag?
I recall reading that a major data center is being developed in Texas with plans for 3 reactors to meet its needs. Rick Perry was somehow involved (using what he learned as energy secretary?)
Question: Is every AI 'bot' created (manufactured) (and) programmed by a human being? If so, then GIGO ( Garbage In/Garbage Out) will still be active in AI DNA.
Will AI "logic" become infallible? Will AI output become codified law?
Sure sounds like what the Lefty's said pushing Solar, Windmills, EVs, - with no consideration for the negative impacts. Telling us, and I assume our elected, who have let this happen to us, it's here, you just Have To accept it.
I am VERY disappointed MAGA and MAHA - in Trump's Admin - doesn't reject AI taking us over.
Link - saw this on X, it's a balanced 4 mins on the resources impact (land, water, elec) of AI in Georgia. Interesting pics, depressing! I've heard from tech dudes, they know it's BAD, and would never want to work in one of these Depressing places.
Agree on all fronts. Thanks for mentioning solar, windmills, and the EVs along with the video. Idaho is facing all these challenges in a state that can ill afford losing precious water to these massive water guzzling data centers.
You wouldn’t think Idaho, a traditionally red state, would embrace so much leftist thinking, but money or its promise tends to get in the way of critical thinking about the long-term impacts of these projects, which could destroy our natural resources and landscapes irreparably. Those who build the initial projects will collect massive paychecks, then be long gone, leaving residents to pick up the pieces of a shattered state.
I think that these new developments are very concerning for those in tech. I did wonder if the mass layoffs in several industries' IT depts were about releasing expertise into the market to be snapped up and used to manage the AI's transition (à la "Operation Paperclip". But then I see the resident dafties in our parliament passing laws to make it harder and harder to employ a UK resident, and I just think companies are cutting their losses. Here in the UK, where we only have the legislative equivalent of One Big Beautiful Dog Poo to look forward to, I think it might well end in lots of tech dudes getting sucked in whether they want to or not. Especially the Gen Xers who are the only ones out there who were properly trained in the ethics.
Good riddance to these Woke EVIL Ones! The gal you mentioned, Alicia Fernandez, her CV(linked), tops off her years of MDing, with her shout out of Stupid: 2017 - Training in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Champion Training. https://profiles.ucsf.edu/alicia.fernandez
What the heck is "Champion" Woke training?!
*Many THANKS to Dir. Bobby K; our Champion of Subjugating(#6 in their Woke Framework) the WOKE Population!
I distrust Monarez. Qualifications? You point out "She is known for having globalist leanings and sympathies" - that is no small thing. And that "she can manage teams and large governmental administrations". Taken together, she's someone to monitor closely.
It is definitely biased. Steve Kirsch has demonstrated this a few times. If challenged, it may correct itself, but appears to offer up the prevailing narrative in many cases.
Don’t get sucked in by her. She is a Big Pharma pick. Her PhD isn’t medical. It’s medical research. Like Dr. Jill Biden. She wasn’t picked by RFK jr. it’s who could get confirmed. She is there to hamstring MAHA. She might have been Trumps “second” choice but I’d keep my cards close to the vest with this one.
Didn't AI help identify possible treatments for Covid-19? I think I read somewhere that it successfully identified the cytokine storms or interpreted them and was able to recommend appropriate management. AI definitely has possibilities in identifying trends and diagnosis. The main problem with AI is when it's fed biased information, like many of the articles published in medical journals over the last decade.
Critical thinking individuals, such as Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, came up with successful early treatment protocols for covid in March of 2020. In fact, by the time he died from a rare cancer at the end of June 2022, he & his team had successfully treated approximately 7,000 patients with covid & lost very few. Those whom he lost had either serious co-morbidities or came to him too late. What we need are more critical thinkers such as Dr. Zelenko.
My experience with A.I. is quite limited, but in doing searches, I notice that the quality of the information depends on the quality of what is available for the A.I. search engine to find - proving the G.I.G.O. rule. I suspect that in the future, it will take true experts to discern where A.I. has been biased by those who program what resources it draws from. This is the same quandary we have with other Internet search engines. You can find the answer to any question you might have by doing an Internet search, but the likelihood of it being the correct answer may be quite low.
Totally agree. You can see this with the evolution of Google Lens. I've used Lens constantly for many years for identifying plants. It was useful in earlier days giving good answers, now it shows reddit links. It went from great to awful.
(My best guess is due to copyright infringements but IDK)
Thanks for this Dr. Malone. I just read about this position being filled a couple of hours ago and getting even a little bit of background information so quickly is refreshingly liberating! I feel more informed about the "doings" of government than I ever have in my life. Please keep up your great work!
Yes, AI is here and yes, everyone is using it, and yes, it's probably a good idea to get ahead of the curve, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Are we as a species smart enough to control this behemoth? Guess I've seen one too many sci-fi films to answer in the affirmative. We can try, but if AI figures out how to keep the plug from being pulled...
Having said all that, I prefer that the good guys have more success with AI than the bad ones. Pulling for Dr. Monarez to be the right choice for America and the world.
Regarding the second part about the new "woke" policies:
They are using "universalism" incorrectly. It already has a set of meanings and is normally used in a religious context, not in health care.
In many ways, in the context of health care, any concept of "universalism" would generally not apply. Each patient is different and there is no particular healing modality that is "universal."
Yes, the intent of the language seems to be a variation on the classic Marxist maxim, "from each according to his ability to each according to his needs." Ability in this context normally really means ability to pay. It is a kind of forced charity.
But what do you do about the addict, the pervert, the hopelessly depressed? Do they really deserve to get all that they "need?" This gets all crossed up with Christian attitudes towards charity and remains unresolved in many ways.
But this much is clear: If I "need" to stay at home and play video games all day when I am able-bodied and should be productive, then I don't deserve to get that "need" met. There are ethical borders to be drawn in many situations, including even health care. To ignore basic ethical considerations is to succumb.
FIRST, PLEASE EXCUSE ALL CAPS. MY "ARTIFICIAL LENSES" WHICH COST 3000K ABOVE THE NORMAL "CATARACT" SURGERY ARE NOT DOING WELL WHICH MEANS THAT i CANNOT SEE SMALL PRINT AGAIN: FORGIVE ME: I AM NOT YELLING:
SECONDLY, I RE READ THAT UPDATE AND SAID: WHEW.. !! WHEN I READ THAT EQUITY STATEMENT OF PURE AND UTTER WOKENESS WHICH HAS NO PLACE IN THE MEDICAL ARENA: ESPECIALLY THE CHANGES IN LANGUAGE. WHEN I GOT TO THE PART ABOUT PREGNANT PERSONS .. VERSUS PREGNANT WOMEN I STOPPED READING RIGHT THERE.. AND WENT BACK TO THE BEGINNING.. AND SAW THE WORDS... """""Health Equity Framework"""".. AND SAID WOW... THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.. I ALSO REVIEWED THE INCREDIBLY INTRUSIVE "HEALTH SCREENING" LINK.... WHICH IS FILLED WITH TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE SCREENING... LIKE HEP B IN PREGANANT WOMEN .. NOW QUOTING FROM THE SCREENING "RECOMMENDATIONS" Breast Cancer: Medication Use to Reduce RisK: Adult, Senior B, D CanceR Published Screening 2019Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Infection: Screening. I WAS ABLE TO CUT AND PASTE THOSE. THERE IS NOTHING ON THERE THAT I PERSONALLY WOULD GIVE INFORMED CONSENT OR AGREE TO ON ANYTHING. ZERO,, ZILCH.
I ALSO JUST HEARD PRESIDENT TRUMP TALKING ABOUT A MEDICAL TOOK.. OPT IN ONLY.. OR "KILL THE CLIPBOARD'.. SO THAT A PERSON'S MEDICAL INFORMATION CAN BE DISSEMINATED BY THE TOUCH OF A TOUCH SCREEN VIA A. I.
I AM TOTALLY OPPOSED TO THIS IT IS BASICALLY MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE BY INSURANCE AND OTHER UNQUALIFIED PERSONAL TO LOOK AT PRIVATE MEDICAL RECORDS WHICH USUALLY INCLUDE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS OR THE MEDICARE NUMBER, ADDRESS, AGE.. AND ALL KINDS OF INFORMATION WHICH CAN BE USED FOR CRIMINAL FINANCIAL FRAUD. I WORKED IN MANY HOSPITALS AND DOCTOR'S OFFICE THERE THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. WE LIVE IN A EXTREMELY GRUBBY AND GREEDY SOCIETY RIGHT NOW. IMO.
IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. AS A RETIRED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL I KNOW THE STATUS OF THE NEGATIVE HEP B AND HIV BECAUSE WAS IMMUNIZED AND ALSO A BLOOD DONOR AND OF COURSE HIV IS NOT EXACTLY SOMETHING ONE CONTRACTS VIA AIR: IT IS A BLOOD BORNE TRANSMISSION VIA SEX OR DRUGS. PAIN MANAGEMENT CLINICS HAVE ALL THIS INFORMATION BECAUSE USUALLY PAIN MANAGEMENT CLINICS ARE DEALING WITH FORMER DRUG USERS WHICH IN MANY CASES IS ASSOCIATED WITH ANONYMOUS SEX (AS IN NOT SPOUSE). THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE..
I HOPE YOU WRITE MORE ON THIS, AND WE ARE SPEAKING NOW IN MEDICINE SO I WILL CALL YOU DR. MALONE. I HOPE THAT RFK AND HHS REVIEWS EACH AND EVERY APPOINTMENT SO WE ARE NOT YET AGAIN LET A TROJAN HORSE INTO THE YARD. HAVE A GREAT WEEK. i AM DOING BETTER.. DAY BY DAY. TAKE CARE; JUST MY OPINION AFTER ACTUALLY WORKING IN THE FIELD FOR OVER 40 YEARS BUT WHAT DO i KNOW? MAYBE HUMAN NATURE HAS CHANGED AND EVERYONE IS NOW ALL ABOUT SHARING AND CARING. IDK BUT I DOUBT IT. !!
CDC had definitely gotten too woke. I sat on too many CDC State and Local calls where CDC officials referred to "pregnant persons" and "chest feeding." My problem with that is that it was all intended to make untrue things suddenly true - that gender is fluid, changing your gender is a normal thing to do, and that men can get pregnant. All of these are silly falsehoods designed to prop up a billion dollar transgender medical apparatus that preys on confused kids and their bewildered parents with the result that the children become objectively LESS healthy as an end result. All that being said, "health equity" as a concept is not entirely bad. It makes sense that if you want to improve the overall health of the population that you focus your efforts on that segment of the population that is most at risk for the outcomes you want to improve. Not everyone has the same risks for obesity, diabetes, cancer, etc. Black Americans currently have higher rates of obesity and diabetes than white people, so targeted intervention makes sense. Men can get breast cancer, but not nearly at the same rate as women. And person-centered language ensures that focus is on the person or people you are trying to help, and not just on the disease. Just need to use common sense, really.
I’ve reached my full potential of hearing variants of the phrase “so he can reach his full potential”. It behooves the Equity Industry for nobody to ever reach their full potential. Kind of like pharma and doctors in the business of sickness never letting people reach their full potential of health. Insurance companies also need people to want to buy insurance; a steady stream of sickness assures this. Now isn’t it a fine paradox, to have an Equity Diva to lead a panel that sets guidelines for insurance reimbursement of preventive care provided by doctors. Neither the Equity, Insurance, nor doctor-hospital complexes actually benefit from healthy people.
Thanks for another comprehensive review of what’s happening now in HHS (reminding myself of Flip Wilson’s Laugh In skit “The Church of What’s Happening Now”).
Your ability to boil down these key fulcrums is impressive and inspiring.
Have eliminated all other paid subscriptions because you never fail to bring value.
My addiction to the Funnies will likely keep me on board for as long as that is happening; however it’s your ability to separate the wheat from the chaff (signal vs. noise), that really delivers most consistently for my money.
Keep the Faith and keep charging like the formidable beast that you are!
Thanks for the link, but I did look it up & viewed several of them… including Bobby Darin playing the devil. You are right he was a genius. Man, I miss those days.

Love The Rockford Files.
Now, if you want to watch something scary and prescient, watch “The Prisoner” with Patrick McGoohan (1967): https://archive.org/details/The_Prisoner
The scenarios depicted in the series could have been pulled from the past 5 years!
The Prisoner ranks right up there with 2001 in my memories.
I’m sorry, Dave, I can’t do that: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy4EfdnMZ5g&pp=0gcJCfwAo7VqN5tD

Found it, it's free via Roku! Thanks Big E.
Although it goes onto my list, for NOT relaxing old tv watches. Brainwashed townspeople, yikes.
oh, definitely not relaxing, but shows that the future of the prisoner’s 1967 village is NOW!
Um, are you thinking that those technology leaders care what we want?

*Many THANKS to Dir. Bobby K; our Champion of Subjugating(#6 in their Woke Framework) the WOKE Population!
Keep on Subjugating 'em, sir!
Good job on finding that profile! Editing that into the article now!
I distrust Monarez. Qualifications? You point out "She is known for having globalist leanings and sympathies" - that is no small thing. And that "she can manage teams and large governmental administrations". Taken together, she's someone to monitor closely.
I think AI has its use, but does need to be managed well, because it contains biases.
It is definitely biased. Steve Kirsch has demonstrated this a few times. If challenged, it may correct itself, but appears to offer up the prevailing narrative in many cases.
And, the prevailing narrative is often untrue, which AI can't be trusted.
You might be right about this. There is so much "game play" going on at these levels of government.
Zelenko.
Indeed we do! I was following him from early on and took Z-Stack. His death was such a loss.
Isn’t Monarez the chick who was somehow involved with the CoVID mRNA crap? I don’t trust her.
Correct!
AI will be handled by Monarez. THE EMERGENCY IS: GET RID OF THAT TASK FORCE; FIRE those people. NOW!
I had forgotten about “The Church of What’s Happening Now”. Thanks for the reminder, will have to look up segments on YT.

Thanks for the link, but I did look it up & viewed several of them… including Bobby Darin playing the devil. You are right he was a genius. Man, I miss those days.
Flip was comic genius. Glad it sparked a memory for you.
