How about disarming and removing a government that controls a large country with almost 100 million people and not think it’s going to destabilize the region, break into pieces, create millions of refugees. This attack was proactive...against a band of knuckle dragging mullahs who have hollered death to America for decades and been complicit in the deaths of many of our people. They are,so despised there, and the leading mullahs so decimated that they will have a hard time maintaining control. And now they have attacking Kurds to contend with.
I did hear about that, and I heard they could make 11 nuclear bombs in a week, that the first bombing campaign devastated their nuclear program and set them back for years, Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and the patriot act was to go after terrorists, Covid came from a wet market, the vaccine is safe and effective, social distancing, unvaccinated people kill grandmas. I’ve begun to start questioning what they’re selling. Not always but many times the truth does come out in the end. I know one thing for sure, if this goes sideways we’re all going to pay a massive price in the next election. A price that America may never come back from. I don’t know what the end result will be but I pray for our country.

I also think people are so overwhelmed by all of the information, and not knowing what is fake or real, people have stopped paying attention and don't care because they feel helpless. My county had a 'special election' Tuesday and it turned out only some 300 people voted. Most did not know of the 'election', so now, our property taxes rise. Things like this happen all of the time: if people aren't aware or feel helpless, they won't get involved. "We the people" have given government too much control and we will never get it back.
I too am cynical but not to the point of believing no one. Do not see how you are anyone,with that attitude can cast a vote,not believing anything anyone says.

I have been going to Grokipedia.com first and then Wiki if the info is incomplete because Grokipedia is still in progress, but it is growing by leaps and bounds. Over the years I have copied and saved Wikipedia articles, many in sciences and medicine (info on a disease or medicine, medical terminology e.g.). Recently I have used Grokipedia for some of the same and have found that Grok. is more fleshed out and detailed, probably by using more complete AI datamining, for many entries (I have no objection to that use of AI). The most surprising result was that when I went back to Wiki, the entry for the same med or disease had been scrubbed or was in progress of being rewritten. In many cases I found that in those old articles on Wiki I found errors that are now noticeable and I am not an MD or PhD in Cell Biology. They even had Politically Correct assumptions, as well.
And obviously I don't use AI to correct what I write. If you want a break from all this bad news, look up Lewis Carroll (Charles Dodgson) on Grokipedia, the author of Alice in Wonderland who was a much above average Mathematician, all the info you ever wanted to know about him, more than Wiki. And, no, he wasn't a pedophile. Alice Liddell and his relatives wanted their 15 minutes of fame 120 years ago just like we do today. I revisited it because the Cheshire Cat makes a very prescient statement in re: Quantum theory, and I had just made a comment about Schrodinger's Cat for another article here, and it's not unrelated.
The safety and survival of humanity remaining in the hands of the people running biological weapons research for their nation’s military, or anyone else, is beyond terrifying.
When I was young, we did atomic bomb drills, getting under our little school desks, in an absurd demonstration of delusional thinking. My generation grew up afraid of a nuclear holocaust. Today, I don’t go higher than 8000 ft altitude due to lung damage from a man made viral holocaust. If you don’t believe in the Bible, and hope for the return of Jesus to judge and save humanity, you are left with the vain hope that the human race won’t annihilate itself. My hope is in God and His promises.
In the meantime if we use AI to help monitor the insane and deceitful purveyors of mass death, that makes sense. That said, evil men with a desire to kill their enemies, won’t ever stop the arms race and won’t stop lying about what they are doing. Hoping to control them by human wit, even assisted by AI, is false optimism, in my opinion. It may be the best way to monitor the situation, and could be better than purely human surveillance. We cannot put the lid back on Pandora’s box, however.
