Mayor Frey [Minneapolis] and Mayor Carter [St. Paul] have been around for awhile and are both supportive of the Muslim mayoral candidate Omar Fateh. Outstate Minnesota consists of 4 Red CD districts, while the other 4 CD districts are Blue and area all in the Twin Cites Metro area. I moved out in 2020.
Minnesota was all Blue at one time, and worked very well. But many can not relate to the policies of these new Democrats [called DFL in Minnesota - Democrat-Framer-Labor]. My husband enjoys other reality tv options as well. Prime even has ads now😳. I get most of my current news from Substacks, The Daily Signal and TCN Network. I also get news from X. Everything I read or see on tv is evaluated to see if there are flaws in the conclusions. If so, I stop reading. I choose carefully the sites I financially support as well. Hopefully, the steps you mentioned can be taken that will curb the drug ads and free the cable news station of the pharmaceutical censors.

I haven't watched any of the NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, for decades. Partly when I was young we moved to a rural with no reception. Just wasn't in the habit of TV. In the digital age I could watch some, particularly Fox News, but when they fired Tucker I fired Fox News. I could get some Gutfeld on YouTube so I occasionally watched that. If it wasn't for Bannon's Warroom doing clips from CNN and MSLSD I wouldn't be able to pick out their narrative readers from a police line up.
Re pHarma ads: I have Netflix and see RAV on Pluto TV. The ads show happy people having pick-nicks and surfing and riding motorcycles while they talk about their "heartbreak of psoriasis" and irritable bowels and how it was all fixed by the latest snake oil panacea. Then the adverse effects they tell us about is worse than the disease, ending with taking it for life and death is normal. So, I kinda like that direct advertising because I don't see how anyone would ever take any of their drugs after those ads, no matter how happy the actors in the ads appear.
They could make the fine print a little bigger, and give you time to read it. I turn the volume down during commercials, so reading the fine print makes it more interesting. I agree, who would want to risk the side effects?

I moved to CO in 1973, from Sacramento, my birth state. The past 52 years in CO have been wonderful- before the changing of the guard! We, my Daughter & her husband, have been considering to move, but that question still hangs in the balance: Where the heck would we go? We are sick of the CO government, the public school district my grand daughters attend, the ultra Good Ole boys republican club in Elbert county, & how many have their “own ways” attitude! We are a very rural, conservative county, but now we are dealing with the attitude of, “do it our way, or else”!
OK. Here's my idea. Let's turn the tide. All red Patriots are now officially invited by ME to come to Colorado (specifically Denver). Please, please. Let's clean the mess out of this beautiful state and turn it back to the days I first moved here. It will take some time and sweat equity, but... PLEASE!~

I believe this past election was devastating to MSM’s ratings and forced self reflection. Over and over again these liberal media companies told their viewers Kamala was going to win. They helped to push her, without a vote, onto the democrats throne. They pushed and pushed and she was soundly defeated with Trump winning every swing state. A disaster for the MS liberal Medias influence. People are sick of being lied to. They have tarnished their own brands with deceit and lies. Also think about all of the doctors who could have & should have offered early out-patient treatment for covid, but did not.
That nurse is not a nurse but simply a salesperson for pharma. Australia also has the draconian government to buy and mandate vaccines, so they don’t have a need for vaccines on TV.

At last the media is getting what’s coming to them; complete distrust. I can no longer watch the talking heads who try to tell us what to think. I stopped watching in 2020 and may only catch something now and then on Fox. MSNBC and CNN are absolutely horrible in their coverage of “news”. I do believe pharmaceutical ads should go into the dustbin of history. I hadn’t thought of the angle of free speech until you wrote about it in this Substack. We actually mute the tv as soon as any ads come on, and don’t watch. We know, because of Substacks like yours, that the purpose of drug ads is to prevent the newscasters from telling the truth about drugs. Much of our evening tv watching is HGTV or Magnolia. My husband enjoys other reality tv options as well. Prime even has ads now😳. I get most of my current news from Substacks, The Daily Signal and TCN Network. I also get news from X. Everything I read or see on tv is evaluated to see if there are flaws in the conclusions. If so, I stop reading. I choose carefully the sites I financially support as well. Hopefully, the steps you mentioned can be taken that will curb the drug ads and free the cable news station of the pharmaceutical censors.
Capitalism itself (in the form of endless repeated commercials via the "mainstream" media ) have become so obnoxious as to drive viewers away from TV altogether.
I am thankful I had enough sense to trash TV back in the 90s. When I am somewhere that has one, I am appalled at the idiocy and degrading commercials and leftist woke content. I haven't watched any of the NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, for decades. Partly when I was young we moved to a rural with no reception. Just wasn't in the habit of TV. In the digital age I could watch some, particularly Fox News, but when they fired Tucker I fired Fox News. I could get some Gutfeld on YouTube so I occasionally watched that. If it wasn't for Bannon's Warroom doing clips from CNN and MSLSD I wouldn't be able to pick out their narrative readers from a police line up.
Re pHarma ads: I have Netflix and see RAV on Pluto TV. The ads show happy people having pick-nicks and surfing and riding motorcycles while they talk about their "heartbreak of psoriasis" and irritable bowels and how it was all fixed by the latest snake oil panacea. Then the adverse effects they tell us about is worse than the disease, ending with taking it for life and death is normal. So, I kinda like that direct advertising because I don't see how anyone would ever take any of their drugs after those ads, no matter how happy the actors in the ads appear.
They could make the fine print a little bigger, and give you time to read it. I turn the volume down during commercials, so reading the fine print makes it more interesting. I agree, who would want to risk the side effects?

Did have an insight into the non release of the Epstein files while watching MSM, before coffee and not really awake. Deconfliction. As in there was none between DOJ, FBI and DNI. When I read DNI Gabbard's release of stuff on Comey / Brennan / BHO, etc., I realized they had not deconflicted or more likely could not deconflict any of it until POTUS declassed the DNI release.
The tell for this was when Pres. Trump started calling the Epstein list a manufactured thing from Clinton and Obama (Probably Bush 1 and 2).
Treason and seditious conspiracy (TS&C) carry the death penalty. That is the ultimate heavy lift for a prosecuting attorney. If all the various pieces of the Trump admin can build a TS&C case it will, almost certainly, contain the Epstein material. An asset like Jeffie can't run like that, across multiple Presidential admins, without those admins knowing Jeffie is there.
Being the grifters they are and beholden to our psychotic overlords, of COURSE they used Epstein.

I have been noticing Fox almost seems to be doing the same thing with Mandami. I am beginning to avoid Fox whether at home or in the gym or wherever solely because of their endless reporting/riffs. Why are they seemingly escalating him to resident brain parasite for everyone who watches? Many voting people have little clue about the Constitution, socialism, Marxism so all they are hearing is ‘blah, blah, blah, Mandami, blah, blah, blah. It just seems to me that Fox and other media are turning up the speed on the escalator to rent free residence for Mandami in our brains. Why?

Interesting and modestly encouraging. As for the firing of Colbert, the reality may be a bit less dramatic. Evidently when his current contract ends, in May of next year, it will not be renewed.
As I dont do TV (for many years now), I can't comment on specifics. My general news reviews are the 5 minute spots on the half hour on radio and the liberal news feed pre-installed on my cell phone. I would note that the radio advertizing includes substantial pharma and chemical industry spots.
I hope you are right and cable (liberal) news and programming will be trending toward more moderate positions. The left, hard left, communist and muslim elements on the left don't appear to be uniting yet.
