The Preamble gives us the goals the framers intended to achieve with our Constitution. The goal to “promote the general welfare” has been misconstrued to usurp powers from the states and the people, powers never granted to the federal government. Power over health issues and education are among those usurped powers. The entire Department of Health and Human Services needs to be dissolved with all its power and funds returned back to the states and the people. This should be the goal of RFK, Jr. Promoting the general welfare by limiting the powers granted to the federal government is the means to secure the blessings of liberty for all generations of American citizens.
