As a regular viewer of GB News, there are many mentions of a yearning for a First Amendment-type constraint on government in the UK. Their pathway to tyranny is much further along than ours. But that’s not to deny the significant danger to which you refer for us, because the peril leapfrogs First Amendment protections. Insidious. Evil. The fruit of darkness. “The instrument is law. The effect is control. The target is thought.” My thought is, and will be, shaped by wrestling with Scripture:

I think our faith barometer is better, but I worry about its depth. The old saw, "a mile wide and an inch deep" comes to mind.

My teacher used to warn us that "democracy" can easily degrade into popularity contests, based on "lowest common denominator" thought processes. Now mind you, I am a paying member so I have the right to view that material. I start from our advice - do your own research and form your own conclusions. Here you assist us in identifing relevant information. In many other matters, locating relvant information is more challenging.
Where relevant information has been censured, it likely becomes wholly unavailable. My conclusions can be greviously impacted as a result of such losses.
Your book covers much of this. Your essays and interviews have further well covered psychological manipulations.
With the now long term advice that thinking for ourselves is dangerous. That we should trust the experts, imo most are ill prepared to think critically, locate legitimate facts and reach their own conclusions. Might we speculate that the Spanberger affairs illustrate the problem.
Surely our being aware of this issue is a start. Taking the issue to our elected officials with calls for remedy might be next. Forming informed groups outside of social media?
Is this tyranny a modern version of Platos cave? Are we up to breaking out into sunshine?

With the now long term advice that thinking for ourselves is dangerous. That we should trust the experts, imo most are ill prepared to think critically, locate legitimate facts and reach their own conclusions. Might we speculate that the Spanberger affairs illustrate the problem.
Surely our being aware of this issue is a start. Taking the issue to our elected officials with calls for remedy might be next. Forming informed groups outside of social media?
Is this tyranny a modern version of Platos cave? Are we up to breaking out into sunshine?
In summary - this is a major issue. Be aware and share. Watch for and take opportunities to combat censorship! Encourage ways and learning of them, to overcome the evils of censorship practices.
