I enjoyed learning more about a political event that was important in ways I didn't know about at the time.

Thank you very much for posting this, Dr. Malone 😊

What a great story on his demand the priest was freed from a dictator who was ruthless. I can’t think of one member of congress now who would do something like that. That is the problem now with our congressional members. They are there for themselves and not the people who elected to represent them. Sounds like we lost a great patriot. Godspeed.

Beautiful tribute to your friend. Congressman Schultze.

His inner strength to endure so many years in, "the Swamp," and have such a life of meaning and accomplishments, can only be attributed to his devout belief in our Lord and his pursuit to aspire to his greater good.

Blessings and Merry Christmas Doctors Malones and family. Also all God's creatures in your stead.

Comity. Good word. We have lost open minds and empathy. A Life well lived. RIP Dick Schulze

Yes. I like that word Comity. It should be taught to all who enter politics and corporate management. I think Dr. Malone has taken that to heart from his mentor as I have watched him deal with committees he serves on and the way he speaks while under fire.

I wish I had known Schultze as I live in south central Pennsylvania. If I had we would have talked about how towns and cities in PA have been having success with local property tax reform to land value taxation which takes taxes off of houses and production and onto the community created land values. That said, maybe you and I could talk about this regarding the economics of war and peace. - alanna 717-357-7617

Firstly, my condolences on losing such a shining friend and mentor. It’s rough losing the presence in one’s life of someone like that.

Secondly, if he’s the one who taught you about comity he excelled at his task. Any discourse I have watched you partake in on video has been a masterclass in “ mildness and suavity in intercourse, courtesy and civility”. When everyone was losing their minds in the early years of the pandemic you always brought a calm reasoned nature to the table.

Thirdly, thanks for sharing the story of Schulze in Romania. Very inspiring. He clearly had the heart of a lion. And I share your prayer that more like him come to follow in his footsteps. We need people who can’t be bought or easily influenced and come from a place of compassionate strength who will do the hard thing when it aligns with their conscience.

That was an amazing story about Romania... :) you expressed that very well..indeed. John (my son and were talking about that this Christmas day.. that is it possible that the pool of people living on Earth is who live in alignment w/ their conscience has shrunk?

We just need to keep praying.. :) and Dick Schulz is an example of the kind of person we need more of.. :)

He was the kind of man who was rare in his time, and almost extinct today. He will be missed.

Dick Schulze was a great man that we knew little about. I love the story about his part in the freeing of Romania and Father Calcui. You were fortunate to have known him. Would that we had more like him in this world. Thank you for sharing facts of his life. May he rest in peace.

I hope civil discourse returns soon and a love of America and that conservative leaders step up to the plate. I'm afraid of the "ghetto gangs" rising up everywhere that should never have even made it past the application stage (you know all the ones I'm talking about). It seems like their discord and hostility is exactly what got them past the application to represent instead of killing their efforts from the outset. That's a sad testimony.

The recent election in Virginia is terrifying and the lack of action from conservatives and Republicans, particularly after Charlie's murder, was something I did not expect and never foresaw (despite the call for Epstein file release and the very poor handling of that from Trump and Bondi). Virginia is in worse trouble than NY now, I think. It's going to be a hard 4 years here. But I know there are attorneys, like Tim Anderson, ready, volunteering, and already working on stopping the agenda already forming from an all-Democrat state. They are planning to fight exactly the way the Democrats are currently fighting President Trump. I hope these great attorneys can cause the VA Democrats to say "hoist by my own petard!" often and with loud crying.

I know there are good men and women in our federal govt and states and cities. It's a big commitment but I pray they rise up and step up - become Davids in the lion dens of our government offices. There is so much I can't do for various physical reasons, but prayer is something we can do when we can't physically help, and it's the most powerful thing of all.

We are so blessed in America - and I'm so thankful I was born here. We recently sponsored a child in a sensitive area in Mozambique through World Vision for our 2 granddaughters as part of their Christmas presents this year (they've been wanting to sponsor a child ever since hearing about them at a Brandon Lake concert). We wanted a way to teach them both, and involve them both, over the coming years that life here isn't like it is in hundreds of other places and to truly see how blessed they are. They both loved it and it's already impacted both of them. Our youngest will be 9 in a couple weeks and she was deeply thoughtful when she saw the "school" our child attends, 6 posts with a hodge podge roof to keep the rain off. They are excited to begin writing letters to our child tomorrow night when they stay overnight with us. Yes, despite our troubles, America is richly blessed and we have much to be thankful for.

I TOTALLY AGREE.. .. that topic was also discussed.. my son is grown man.. of 44.. who is a thoughtful Christian.. so we talked for about three hours... that was our CHRISTMAS present to one another. So yes.. we are still richly blessed and are full of gratitude this abundantly rich in spirit and conscience presence of People of Good Will .. in America. I like your comments. :)

I rest assured that this fine man is resting among beatific caregivers as he makes his transition to the Wholeness that we strive for. His life review will certainly be incredible, as he witnesses his multiple acts of courage and their effects. This may be a different way of looking at death, but I have been schooled by the best. (Dannion Brinkley) Blessings to his family and beyond.

Dr.s Malone, it is so wonderful to read about all your doings. I liked this recent article about Congressman Schulze. It is so important to not get caught in the emotional excitement side of situations. I am not good at being calm, cool and collected at times. That is where we/I loose credibility. Steady thought and simply factual concentration is vital. The ACIP meeting streamings are a great example of well trained advocates of a prejudiced narrative opposing unprejudiced factual data seekers. The prejudiced narrators will never go away and never should we.
