Since the birth of the Ayatollah Khomeini and mullah regime, 47 years, the present Islamic republic has flirted with war with America. How we kept allowing this to go on time after time is incredible. The peak of lunacy was flying plane loads of cash, billions, to Iran and then allowing them to sell oil on the open market giving them hundreds of billions of dollars. All to support a terrorist state, a cancerous theocracy in the Middle East. Thanks Barrack and Joey!

The Iran hostage crisis occurred on November 4, 1979, when Iranian revolutionaries seized the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, holding 52 Americans for 444 days. The 1979 crisis was a key event of the Islamic Revolution, which saw the overthrow of the Shah.

The hostage takers had the support of Ayatollah Khomeini, who sought to cement his power following the 1978–79 revolution.

The hostages were released on January 20, 1981, minutes after Ronald Reagan was sworn in as president. 4 years later Iran would bomb the American/French barracks in Beirut killing 299 American soldiers.

Dr. Malones analysis speaks volumes that this is not a done deal in a week. Since 1683 on 9/11 when the Ottoman's lost the war in Europe to Christians there was a period when Turkey became the dividing line between the East and the West. All changed when oil was discovered in the East and the great wealth that is derived from it.

Rudyard Kipling is the author who wrote "East is East and West is West, and never the twain shall meet". Unfortunately the communist left invited them in by the millions!!

“Never the twain shall meet" is an idiom describing two people, ideas, or groups that are so fundamentally different or incompatible that they can never agree, connect, or exist together. It signifies an unbridgeable gap between two opposing sides.

Imago Dei hence Human Rights in the West and not in the East.

In the 1980’s war with Irag, Iran used boys as human minesweepers. I guess the girls were being used as human shields.

Instead of killing the snake when it was a baby, others have waited until it became a full grown Cobra with poisonous fangs and cunning abilities to destroy enemies. Now, we must face the clever tactics and hidden threats they have been designing for decades to work up to this space in time. Still, it beats watching mushroom clouds across the globe take out the world population and everything we hold dear. It HAD to be done, and NOW. Everyone should hold our troops in their daily prayers! GOD BLESS OUR SERVICE MEMBERS! May He guide them to victory!

What folks seem to keep missing is that it was them bragging in our negotiations that they had enough enriched uranium (financed in part by #44) to build 16 bombs that triggered Trump's response.

Aided and abetted by the jug-eared traitor who loved the evening call to prayer and sent them $8 billion of cash on pallets. "None dare call it treason?" I do.

"Iran avoids full closure to preserve its own oil exports (critical for revenue, especially to China)."

So why aren't we capturing the Iranian vessels and selling them and their cargo? This is just beyond stupid.

GMoody's avatar

I believe that’s why so many Marines are heading there, to take control of Iranian oil tankers.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

That island is their main, virtually only, source of income. Wonder how long they can hold out without it?

GMoody's avatar

We will take control of the island and their oil tankers in the Strait. Mine sweepers are heading there from European nations and Japan is sending help.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

Yeah. If europe is so desperate for that oil then get their behinds there and help to start securing it.

neli d's avatar

thank you Japan!! who knows how much Europe will actually help. Hope they all help!

Joy Metcalf's avatar

What is beyond stupid is the whole Iran situation.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

What was beyond stupid was letting it ever happen

GMoody's avatar

It was stupid for Obama and Biden both sending them billions, making an agreement that allowed them to enrich uranium, removing sanctions, and so on. After the payments they still never lived up to the agreement.

Thank you for this organized, understandable information. I appreciate you!

GMoody's avatar

Good afternoon James! Every president has kicked the can down the road until King Trump (love calling him that!) decided it was now or never to make sure we were never held hostage again by Iranian mullahs.

"Why what London does matters...."

England used to rule the seas. No longer. Lloyds of London used to insure most all shipping. Now that need not be the case. THIS WOULD BE A SUPERB DEAL FOR TRUMP AND AMERICA.

Maybe the US doesn't want to reopen the strait anytime soon.

My view is that there is grey zone warfare directed at the US being perpetrated by several countries, including Iran, China, Russia, Cuba and until recently Venezuela, and probably more. The summer of 2020 riots were part of it, with financial support and training coming from outside actors, with riots being run like military operations. Drug problems kill more Americans every year than died in the whole of the Vietnam war, and the cartels seem to be in bed with these forces. I think this operation is designed to end this gray zone warfare, and there is probably no desire to take over Iran, only to end their operations that have killed thousands of Americans world wide. Will the regular Iranian army take over? (The average Iranians might be happy to see the islamists out of power, but they would certainly fight an invading army. Maybe Christianity and Zoroastrianism will start replacing Islam.) We are seeing an ongoing operation to end the gray zone warfare; Cartels are being attacked, the border is looking more like a border, Venezuela is being severed from the attacking forces, Cuba is being neutered and might rejoin humanity while China is being squeezed by oil restriction from both the Venezuela and Iran operations. Obviously I don't know how it will turn out.

We have no crystal ball, however Trump is playing to win on all fronts.

These hateful, spiteful people have had 47 years to plan for this; most likely knowing the whole time that this time of war was coming. I saw a close up picture of the Straight of Hormuz and thought OMG that coast line and the mountainous area was a literal haven for the snakes that are hiding in wait all these years! I pray 🙏 for our military every day and ask our Lord to protect them.

James Goodrich's avatar

Jane during Trumps 1st term Iran was financially on the ropes. Joe Biden allowed Iran to sell hundreds of billions of dollars in oil with petro dollars to Russia China Cuba etc. And of coarse Barracks plane loads of cash he sent there. Really unbelievable. Now we are fighting against weapons we allowed Iran to get the money in which to purchase and build, it’s incredible!

Thank you for this indepth discussion. I have been losely following this via the Promethian Groups discussions. Their analysis relates to a GB Chatham House leadership role, with an ultimate goal of One World Order, where they will command. They recently noted Lloyd's (Insurer's) role.

Your review helps a lot in filling out particulars.

Certainly, like our current HHS issues, we the people are needed to understand and rise loudly in support for the issues presented. Re MAHA - the pollsters, Justice, and the Executive Branches right wing have said MAHA is tiny and of no significance for the midterms. Toss them and their issues in the bottom drawer. We need to clarify our import and impact. That We count and are a force to be attended to!

The Iran situation is clearly being devolved into a similar stalemate.

Dragging out the conflict and Strait situation can result in all impacted to diminish (if not actively oppose) their patience and support for the conflict. I'm hearing there was a march in DC this last weekend, by US Iranians and supporters in appreciation for our efforts to free Iran. If Iran is able to dragout the war, we'll need the insightful to continue to openly and loudly support our war efforts.

My personal view as of today. Will look forward to your further details. I harbor theories, but am always ready for new insights.

OFF TOPIC:

Just watched Dr Malone's interview by a California podcaster. Excellent interview offering additional perspectives on recent events. Imo well worth watching if one is concerned with recent HHS events.

Susan Kokinda argues that RFK Jr.’s CPAC remarks—praising Trump’s use of power and saying JFK and RFK would back Trump on Iran, Ukraine, and rebuilding the middle class—cut through media narratives and signal a break from post–WWII imperial management. She says Britain and allied institutions are being sidelined, citing Chatham House’s warnings about UK limits and a “Not So Special Relationship” under Trump 2.0, while Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt convene in Islamabad to open U.S.-Iran dialogue without the UK, EU, or NATO. Trump names Vice President JD Vance lead negotiator, presented as an anti–forever war interlocutor

As usual, this well explained layout of both sides determining factors is something I hope was well considered by everyone involved. I wish I could say "Well of course!", but my confidence in the details of knowing how to think like an Iranian army (both of them) is limited. Sometimes the U.S. has overblown confidence with the real lack to think psychologically like an enemy that is so tribal. This article has much to consider tactically and the days and weeks ahead seem treacherous and perilous indeed. We will all pay in more ways than one.

Keir Starmer's refusal to proscribe the IRGC in the UK, after encouraging such action when Labour was in opposition, is curious, to say the least. Perhaps Part 2 will shed some light on this mystery.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

Sounds like the same thing that happens here when the party control flips.

53rd Chapter's avatar

It's easy to lean back and take potshots when there's no consequence to one's complaint. Now that Labour is in power, with the (not so secret) secret that they need Islamist support, it's a different story. Labour had one good idea, just one, and they blew it. But I'm having a hard time being able to identify even on good Dem idea.

The Law of Unintended Consequences strikes again. Has Trump or any of his staff ever heard of it?

Brandy's avatar

If you watched the 60 Minutes video, this 'quarrel' has been doing on since Bush days. Trump is the one that finally had the courage to go at it head on and deal with it so hopefully Iran won't bully again. I think we need to move in and take over the Hormuz strait, charge ships for going through safely (to pay the military there) and let everyone have access.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

Was it courage? or was it stupidity? The U.S. has never really understood the tribalism that runs the Middle East. Every time we try to apply our standards to the rest of the world, we pay for it. I'm not a pacifist, but I don't think we need to be bringing war to the rest of the world. We have too many problems at home and going to war compounds them.

Nadia Nichols's avatar

A terrorist regime now controls the straight so it can move its own and Russia's oil to China and hold the entire world permanently hostage. Iran's oil exports are critical for funding this regime. Trump would prefer not to destroy Iran's oil infrastructure, but he may have no choice.

Melanie Reynolds's avatar

Thank you for this great analysis.

Garry Blankenship's avatar

I have no doubt that the speculators all along the energy food chain will opportunistically extract what they can from any event. However; the American continent is energy independent and relatively immune from middle East oil complications. The USA not only just wound up local production, we now also have access to Venezuelan oil. What surprises me is the Eurasian countries reliant on middle East energy, being unwilling to protect their interests. They need only post guard against Iranian attack and big brother said he would help; a lot. It would seem Trump is several moves ahead of the obvious. Assuming Iran remains determined to lift their leg on Eurasia's energy, North America may benefit from some new customers. Any way you slice it, Iran is at the world's mercy.

Nicholas Edward Bednarski, MD's avatar

Iran’s strategy is a major reason that the US needs to immediately shut off Iran’s oil exporting, cripple it over the intermediate term, and threaten (meaningfully) to end it over the long term. Firstly, embargo and confiscate any oil shipments from Iran (Kharg), secondly after warning to civilian oil workers destroy the offloading docks on Kharg, and finally end their export capacity for the foreseeable future by invading Kharg ( least desirable and to be avoided if at all possible) or by using air power to destroy Kharg island’s entire petroleum related facilities. The future economic welfare of the Iranian people is secondary to the current ongoing evonomic status of the rest of the world. Europe’s industrial capacity was rebuilt via the Marshall Plan and other measures after WW II , rebuilding Iran’s oil industry would be a minor affair. Their total contribution to the global oil consumption can be foregone or replaced by increased production elsewhere. An international coalition could search out their corrupt assets worldwide and seize or freeze them. While not definitive, these measures represent a kind of asymmetric warfare against theirs. Simple and therefore impossible, surely.
