This is a busy morning, so I only had time to read a part of the article. But I wondered if they were unvaccinated illegal aliens? During the Biden administration's open borders little attention was given to the fact that a significant amount of these illegal aliens came in with little health care in their backgrounds. It was at that time that measures once again became an issue

Things change but 20yrs ago I was working in a community health clinic in the south with most of the illegal immigrants coming in from Mexico. Most had vaccination cards and were up to date with the current vaccination schedule. Additionally most willingly got an extra dose of IPV. The last dose was routinely given before age 4 where they came from and the local school district would not consider it to be qualifying for attendance. I moved from there to an upper mid west state. Working in a clinic in an upper middle class suburb I was shocked by the contrast. Significant numbers of kids that either were not immunized or had very spotty records. I remember a few of the completely unvaccinated kids that later as young adults and going in the peace corps (or a similar endeavor)that had to be brought up to speed. Embarrassingly, I could never manage to cough up a vaccination record when needed and had to rely on serology the last time proof was required.
