A note of correction, Jean, we are not antiques until we reach 100. I do think, as long as humans continue to exist, there will be physical care, maintence and repair needs that will demand human services.
I agree the current depravity for a scorched earth portends disaster. That so many potential 'saviors' are so steeped with desires for supremacy they refuse to see the need to unite to secure vital objectives portends failure.

A note of correction, Jean, we are not antiques until we reach 100. Most of us are still vintage, albeit well on our way…But you seem to be on to something profound - “love of country and a caring respect for many fellow citizens.” That sounds like a good start, with some other tweaks and tunings along the way, spiritual revival, legal immigration and assimilation, and a pinch of Dr. Nash’s remedy, a few less lawyers and a lot less laws. And maybe law schools that focus a lot more on the spirit and not so much on the letter.

FWIW, I’m happy to go on record and predict that AI, in all its forms, will be exposed as over-rated, in terms of its benefits and (hopefully) its threats. It will always be flawed because its creator is flawed. It will offer a lot of information but be short on reliable truth, especially in the most important realm. The realm of the spiritual / meta physical.
Here’s a prediction of the future end and I would strongly caution against putting it in the “myth” category:

I often think of this category as I worked in trades, as the ones who delivered all the stuff to the work from home crowd during covid. UPS couldn't work from home, DOT couldn't work from home Sanitation, firemen police and all the meal dash services.

P.S. The books Nehemiah and Ezra explain it clearly. The Israelites are called the "people of the land". Nebuchadnezzar captured the intellectual and royal families to propagate with the women, forming the Jew. The Jews were led by Cyrus and Darius to finish and claim the nearly finished (repaired) Temple in Jerusalem. Another one of your posts, Dr Malone, which requires deep thinking and reflection. I’ve been thing a lot lately about Ayn Rand and John Galt and his little valley of “hope”. At least that is what I envisioned it to be when I was reading about it. Could the world be saved by following this example? I would love to try it! I fear AI may push us to the brink of this. Our direction needs to change. We cannot continue on this destructive path. At my age, I will not see what transpires with our humanity. I can only dream.
