And we are awash today with sociopaths stepping all over our Republic.
And we have seen the process expose itself further with the wuflu fraud bared shelves remaining shy of all but the overpriced remnants we are allowed to purchase. Those shelves remain understocked, I strongly suspect, deliberately so that the profiteers can continue to offer us the least they can provide at the highest cost they can get. There oughta be a law!

The only flaw I see in your otherwise excellent comment is that the fools are using OUR federal tax dollars. I object and I propose the following: separate spending from funding. Elected politicians can and should propose spending BUT ONLY citizen taxpayers should APPROVE FUNDING . This puts a hard stop to fraud and waste if given the help of DOGE. Every taxpayer must assign their tax dollars for or NOT for each spending proposal every year after Doge’s accounting. Budgets then shrink or swell based on performance and the will of THOSE who actually fund the government. If everyone with skin in the game ie taxpayers did this, graft would approach zero. Nothing focuses the mind, sharpening the senses than having one’s own hard work stolen and misused. And nothing would do more to unite Democrats and Republicans than everyone getting the governance they want TO THE EXTENT THEY WERE WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. Note: non-contributing citizens and non-citizens ARE NOT allowed in this assignment. Why? Because they get their say when they vote for or lobby their representatives. But if they aren’t actually paying taxes for government services, then they shouldn’t get to fund the government! This is the step change needed in our constitution!
Is it feasible? I think so and here’s why. I believe it is actually easier than it seems. Every proposed bill has a purpose. Require that purpose be stated in a single sentence. Or at worst short paragraph. Require DOGE to audit that description. Then ask citizen taxpayers to fund (OR NOT). For example: proposal: Spend 20 billion on weapons to Ukraine. Here’s another: spend 100 million on Planned Parenthood whose services include abortion. Here’s another: Spend 96 billion on a California high speed rail from LA to San Francisco that fails to lay any rail in 14 years. Here’s another: SNAP funds to Minnesota where fraud is rampant. How long would fraud last if citizen taxpayers had a chance to defund it. Here’s another: refund Obama Care which Doge clearly shows is profitable for Insurance Companies only and costly to citizens needing it. The budget would shrink substantially and capitalisms best attributes would take over. Compete for quality and price or be eliminated. All at the hands of the people WHO PAY FOR IT!
Let spenders yak on about why we should or shouldn’t fund. Let DOGE do the annual accounting and report publicly. Let citizen taxpayers decide whether they want that government service. I could easily go through a list of a 1,000 in just minutes. And get probably 80 to 90% correct as in have a net positive effect on my country and countrymen.
It’s not that we pay less taxes. It’s that tax money is now accountable to the people who worked for and OWN those moneys. Once you get the hang of it, the process is almost a no brainer!

When government policies favor fraud and corruption, we'll have fraud and corruption. Corporations by definition are government created entities. They are not entrepreneurs. Socialist programs have encouraged corporate greed and punished small business. Which is truly capitalism? And who really makes the laws? Sadly, corporations are busy writing laws that are costly, that only they can afford to live with. Then they give them over to the bought and sold in Congress, who push them through. We are awash not only with sociopaths stepping all over our Republic but making the laws as well.
And then there are those who think we should tax corporations because "they can afford it". Two thoughts: 1) Corporations are in business to make a profit. There are a plethora of laws that have driven them elsewhere to do that. Driving up taxes drives up the cost of their goods. 2) Corporations don't actually pay taxes. They add those costs to what they sell. WE pay their taxes, folks, and anyone who thinks "they don't pay enough" help to push them overseas.
And it is the legal buzzards who make all this possible. They write the laws with all the necessary "loopholes" they install to serve their client cohorts.

On Chris Stegall’s morning show yesterday he had a journalist on the show who had done a background on Renee. She was married and had 2 children and lost custody of them to her ex upon their divorce. She remarried and had a child with the second husband now age 6. The deceased husband committed suicide some time after she left him and people who knew them said he had ptsd, so she left him. She then met Becca and they took a last name of Good, not either of their last names and they got married and took that last name as they felt it suited them. Anyway, the child has been in a “progressive” day school this past year. The deceased husband’s father, granddad to the little boy is going to raise the child in a Christian home. Probably best for this little boy in the long run. Whole thing is really sad.

Looking through the commenter's "follow" list, I noted the Antifa newsletter. I told them I was reporting the threat to Substack, more out of a sense of responsibility than just out of impulse. The commenter repeated the threat, however, and when I recognized the implicit reference to Renee Good, I replied with a comment, since taken down along with the thread of threats. Speaking of cheap human labor: I'm more than concerned that many people are not grasping the whole picture regarding illegal immigrants. In 1986, Reagan provided amnesty to millions. Those I know from Mexico say that millions more thought they could establish a life here believing that they, too, would eventually get amnesty - or at least a green card. I taught the children of these hopeful, working people for 20 years. The ones I know have an ITIN number and pay taxes from their jobs. They work - they do not live off the government. Many of the parents were also in my adult ESL classes and at this point they are fluent in English and have assimilated into the community here in Texas.
I was hoping that Trump would have a "cut off" time - let's say for those who have lived here for 15 years or longer - allow them to have a green card, a driver's license (which even Texas does not allow), and a way to gain citizenship. Perhaps a stiff fine and American government classes.
This is a problem stemming from BOTH parties. Both chose to continue to ignore the situation and now their solution is to deport them from a country they have supported through their work and loyalty. They now have grandchildren as well. In my opinion, I feel it is inhumane to pick them up and send them back to their original country.

Getting a green card was tough but not expensive. Becoming a citizen is tougher and way more expensive. It is a slap in the face of legal immigrants, to give amnesty to all the illegals IMO. Why do they not get a green card like all us, legals?
I can’t tell you how many jobs my business has lost to companies that hire illegals, no insurance, pay no taxes, and do poor workmanship. Just recently I lost a 75000 dollar job in my hometown, all illegals doing the work there. Also I have looked at a number of jobs where the workmanship was so bad, unfinished and no permits pulled the property owners are looking for someone to come in and fix the mess. I have a feeling that job I lost is going to go bad, I know they lied on the permit applications, I know the inspectors. You know if Biden was letting in 10,000 senators, congressmen and lawyers everyday, that border would have been closed down in minutes.
You may still get that job when the contractor’s work goes sour. My brother installed carpet most of his life and the wages never increased, but the demographics did. Illegals were working for half the wage, which ruined the trade, and the narrative that illegals work jobs that Americans won’t is a lie—they took a good paying job from Americans, who were making a livable wage.
Where I live, I have seen the demographics change for those who mow grass and do landscaping jobs from locals to foreign nationals who cannot speak English—they could under bid any American company or American individuals—so Americans lost their jobs.

In regard to workmanship, there are just as many old timers that are putting out professional jobs. The ones I know take pride in their work: construction, welding, mechanics, electricians, etc. I'd hire them over many citizens that are inexperienced or careless.
I certainly see your point. It is not easy to get a green card. For those I am speaking about - NOT the ones that came under Biden - they have a two choices: 1. They could marry a permanent resident or citizen, 2. If lucky their employer could sponsor them, but he/she must be able to show that the illegal is performing some job that would be difficult to fill with another. Either way, they would then go through the immigration process with a lawyer and an interview with Immigration.
For those in Mexico, there is no other path. They cannot claim asylum...asylum from what? Some came with a legal visa, but that is temporary.
How did you come here? Most of these people do not have any special skills. My nephew married someone in Ukraine and all was legal, but it took time.
I was dating an American citizen I met online. It took 2 tries, even though we got married, to get a green card. I had to redo because I left the country because my grampa was so sick, and I went to visit. Then my husband turned out to be very different from what he gave out to be, I left him and had to restart again LOL. Now I can laugh about it, but it was tiresome. And then the naturalisation took way longer than it should have, because I came up on a person who obviously did not like me (too white, maybe).
Interesting! I have a coworker and the same thing happened to her. Fortunately the second try has worked. So, yes, marriage is one way. Asylum another and an employer that finds your skills would be difficult to replace. I have tried to put myself in their shoes. At this point I know the towns and cities where they originated. Whether small or large, the opportunities are slim to none for most. IF you are lucky to be from a middle or upper class family, the sky is the limit.
I was able to get four who were in their twenties to apply to a junior college here. It is allowed even if you are not legal. A placement test is given when applying - most must take it no matter illegal or citizen. It tests your English writing, comprehension, and math skills. If you fall below a certain percentage you enroll in "developmental classes." They all passed the math, but needed English and reading. However, they could take many courses along with it with the exception of history, psychology, etc - lecture courses. This truly gave them hope of eventual career options until E Verify came on the scene.
As the years have passed, they have been stuck in a rut taking jobs that pay less and are mostly physical. They still are happy for their life here.

It was my understanding the Mexicans who worked in San Diego and Texas had a sponsor and they were then legally naturalized. I know my RIP father in law had a whole family living with him in his "extra house" in Coronado.. who were Mexican, he died at 88. (he was the Vice Admiral) and they were like family to him. Their kids went to school in Coronado and spoke both English and Spanish and he made sure before he died they got their U.S Citizenship. So I am puzzled about that. It used to be that when you married a citizen, or you had a sponsor for years, that you could get citizenship automatically. When I came here in 2003 that was long gone. When married to a citizen, you first get a green card, and 3 years later you can start the process of naturalization. No benefits. You have to promise that during this time you will not ask the govt for help. You also have to report how much money you got. From what I heard at the ceremony one wealthy person got it all done in 6 weeks. It took me almost 2 years.
Yes, I would also like to know how he was able to get them citizenship. As I said above, lawyers and employers can work it out. ONE - just one - of the people I taught and they are also friends at this point - was able to get citizenship that way. He created a mold for piping and his employer was impressed. That is why he was able to help him.
I also know that those that came under Biden get a LOT of perks. Some I know work with some from Guatamala. The Guatamalans laugh at my friends saying you came here at the wrong time - meaning they do not get or even want handouts. They get rent money, a work permit, food stamps, etc. The Mexicans are sickened by this.

Local Costco has been selling wagyu tallow since late ‘24/early ‘25. Pint jars - just about the right size. I’ve made my own tallow in the past (much less than a pint) but I prefer this stuff; I make my own ghee from Amish butter - 2lbs unsalted -> just under two wide mouth pints. The new national motif...Mammon is riding high. Money breeds power and sociopaths are as addicted to power as hunter biden to.....well that is pretty well an open ended metaphor. And we are awash today with sociopaths stepping all over our Republic.
And we have seen the process expose itself further with the wuflu fraud bared shelves remaining shy of all but the overpriced remnants we are allowed to purchase. Those shelves remain understocked, I strongly suspect, deliberately so that the profiteers can continue to offer us the least they can provide at the highest cost they can get. There oughta be a law!
In the vein of Ripley’s Believe it or not - ran across a post the other day detailing that California (& by proxy the Southwest) were having to deal with $12 +\- gal of gas due to refineries being shut down & apparently the state government’s response is to send residents a one time $400 rebate. The only flaw I see in your otherwise excellent comment is that the fools are using OUR federal tax dollars. I object and I propose the following: separate spending from funding. Elected politicians can and should propose spending BUT ONLY citizen taxpayers should APPROVE FUNDING . This puts a hard stop to fraud and waste if given the help of DOGE. Every taxpayer must assign their tax dollars for or NOT for each spending proposal every year after Doge’s accounting. Budgets then shrink or swell based on performance and the will of THOSE who actually fund the government. If everyone with skin in the game ie taxpayers did this, graft would approach zero. Nothing focuses the mind, sharpening the senses than having one’s own hard work stolen and misused. And nothing would do more to unite Democrats and Republicans than everyone getting the governance they want TO THE EXTENT THEY WERE WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. Note: non-contributing citizens and non-citizens ARE NOT allowed in this assignment. Why? Because they get their say when they vote for or lobby their representatives. But if they aren’t actually paying taxes for government services, then they shouldn’t get to fund the government! This is the step change needed in our constitution!
Is it feasible? I think so and here’s why. I believe it is actually easier than it seems. Every proposed bill has a purpose. Require that purpose be stated in a single sentence. Or at worst short paragraph. Require DOGE to audit that description. Then ask citizen taxpayers to fund (OR NOT). For example: proposal: Spend 20 billion on weapons to Ukraine. Here’s another: spend 100 million on Planned Parenthood whose services include abortion. Here’s another: Spend 96 billion on a California high speed rail from LA to San Francisco that fails to lay any rail in 14 years. Here’s another: SNAP funds to Minnesota where fraud is rampant. How long would fraud last if citizen taxpayers had a chance to defund it. Here’s another: refund Obama Care which Doge clearly shows is profitable for Insurance Companies only and costly to citizens needing it. The budget would shrink substantially and capitalisms best attributes would take over. Compete for quality and price or be eliminated. All at the hands of the people WHO PAY FOR IT!
Let spenders yak on about why we should or shouldn’t fund. Let DOGE do the annual accounting and report publicly. Let citizen taxpayers decide whether they want that government service. I could easily go through a list of a 1,000 in just minutes. And get probably 80 to 90% correct as in have a net positive effect on my country and countrymen.
It’s not that we pay less taxes. It’s that tax money is now accountable to the people who worked for and OWN those moneys. Once you get the hang of it, the process is almost a no brainer!

When government policies favor fraud and corruption, we'll have fraud and corruption. Corporations by definition are government created entities. They are not entrepreneurs. Socialist programs have encouraged corporate greed and punished small business. Which is truly capitalism? And who really makes the laws? Sadly, corporations are busy writing laws that are costly, that only they can afford to live with. Then they give them over to the bought and sold in Congress, who push them through. We are awash not only with sociopaths stepping all over our Republic but making the laws as well.
And then there are those who think we should tax corporations because "they can afford it". Two thoughts: 1) Corporations are in business to make a profit. There are a plethora of laws that have driven them elsewhere to do that. Driving up taxes drives up the cost of their goods. 2) Corporations don't actually pay taxes. They add those costs to what they sell. WE pay their taxes, folks, and anyone who thinks "they don't pay enough" help to push them overseas.
And it is the legal buzzards who make all this possible. They write the laws with all the necessary "loopholes" they install to serve their client cohorts.
I am sure there is a law.. somewhere and never enforced. I will try to remain optimistic.. :)

On Chris Stegall’s morning show yesterday he had a journalist on the show who had done a background on Renee. She was married and had 2 children and lost custody of them to her ex upon their divorce. She remarried and had a child with the second husband now age 6. The deceased husband committed suicide some time after she left him and people who knew them said he had ptsd, so she left him. She then met Becca and they took a last name of Good, not either of their last names and they got married and took that last name as they felt it suited them. Anyway, the child has been in a “progressive” day school this past year. The deceased husband’s father, granddad to the little boy is going to raise the child in a Christian home. Probably best for this little boy in the long run. Whole thing is really sad.

Looking through the commenter's "follow" list, I noted the Antifa newsletter. I told them I was reporting the threat to Substack, more out of a sense of responsibility than just out of impulse. The commenter repeated the threat, however, and when I recognized the implicit reference to Renee Good, I replied with a comment, since taken down along with the thread of threats. Speaking of cheap human labor: I'm more than concerned that many people are not grasping the whole picture regarding illegal immigrants. In 1986, Reagan provided amnesty to millions. Those I know from Mexico say that millions more thought they could establish a life here believing that they, too, would eventually get amnesty - or at least a green card. I taught the children of these hopeful, working people for 20 years. The ones I know have an ITIN number and pay taxes from their jobs. They work - they do not live off the government. Many of the parents were also in my adult ESL classes and at this point they are fluent in English and have assimilated into the community here in Texas.
I was hoping that Trump would have a "cut off" time - let's say for those who have lived here for 15 years or longer - allow them to have a green card, a driver's license (which even Texas does not allow), and a way to gain citizenship. Perhaps a stiff fine and American government classes.
This is a problem stemming from BOTH parties. Both chose to continue to ignore the situation and now their solution is to deport them from a country they have supported through their work and loyalty. They now have grandchildren as well. In my opinion, I feel it is inhumane to pick them up and send them back to their original country.

I can’t tell you how many jobs my business has lost to companies that hire illegals, no insurance, pay no taxes, and do poor workmanship. Just recently I lost a 75000 dollar job in my hometown, all illegals doing the work there. Also I have looked at a number of jobs where the workmanship was so bad, unfinished and no permits pulled the property owners are looking for someone to come in and fix the mess. I have a feeling that job I lost is going to go bad, I know they lied on the permit applications, I know the inspectors. You know if Biden was letting in 10,000 senators, congressmen and lawyers everyday, that border would have been closed down in minutes.

Where I live, I have seen the demographics change for those who mow grass and do landscaping jobs from locals to foreign nationals who cannot speak English—they could under bid any American company or American individuals—so Americans lost their jobs.
Deporting them is essential to saving our jobs and nation, but James, America is reaping what it has sown. America has killed 65 million unborn children! It has destroyed its own workforce, and biblically—Deuteronomy 28–the foreigners are like the tail wagging the dog.
We have a deep rooted spiritual problem, which is manifested in our politics and greed for money, not to mention the misplaced empathy for lawlessness.
I understand that is and has been happening and it is definitely wrong. Commercially, businesses thrive due to this issue while those following the rules are suffering. Who is at the bottom of it? The illegals? I'm afraid our government can take the bow for it.
At this point, let's put a cap on who can stay and who must leave. Being here fifteen years or longer seems reasonable. Why should they have to uproot due to a government that welcomed cheap labor for so long? Trump would become a hero of millions if he could just bend a little.
In regard to workmanship, there are just as many old timers that are putting out professional jobs. The ones I know take pride in their work: construction, welding, mechanics, electricians, etc. I'd hire them over many citizens that are inexperienced or careless.
You have an excellent point, Ingrid. When the law is applied unequally, frustration and distrust abound.
I certainly see your point. It is not easy to get a green card. For those I am speaking about - NOT the ones that came under Biden - they have a two choices: 1. They could marry a permanent resident or citizen, 2. If lucky their employer could sponsor them, but he/she must be able to show that the illegal is performing some job that would be difficult to fill with another. Either way, they would then go through the immigration process with a lawyer and an interview with Immigration.
For those in Mexico, there is no other path. They cannot claim asylum...asylum from what? Some came with a legal visa, but that is temporary.
How did you come here? Most of these people do not have any special skills. My nephew married someone in Ukraine and all was legal, but it took time.
I was dating an American citizen I met online. It took 2 tries, even though we got married, to get a green card. I had to redo because I left the country because my grampa was so sick, and I went to visit. Then my husband turned out to be very different from what he gave out to be, I left him and had to restart again LOL. Now I can laugh about it, but it was tiresome. And then the naturalisation took way longer than it should have, because I came up on a person who obviously did not like me (too white, maybe).
Interesting! I have a coworker and the same thing happened to her. Fortunately the second try has worked. So, yes, marriage is one way. Asylum another and an employer that finds your skills would be difficult to replace. I have tried to put myself in their shoes. At this point I know the towns and cities where they originated. Whether small or large, the opportunities are slim to none for most. IF you are lucky to be from a middle or upper class family, the sky is the limit.
I was able to get four who were in their twenties to apply to a junior college here. It is allowed even if you are not legal. A placement test is given when applying - most must take it no matter illegal or citizen. It tests your English writing, comprehension, and math skills. If you fall below a certain percentage you enroll in "developmental classes." They all passed the math, but needed English and reading. However, they could take many courses along with it with the exception of history, psychology, etc - lecture courses. This truly gave them hope of eventual career options until E Verify came on the scene.
As the years have passed, they have been stuck in a rut taking jobs that pay less and are mostly physical. They still are happy for their life here.
In principle I agree but that is NOT what is happening.. in reality. I don't know what the answer is.. about the people who have been here a generation like you say 20 years. It was my understanding the Mexicans who worked in San Diego and Texas had a sponsor and they were then legally naturalized. I know my RIP father in law had a whole family living with him in his "extra house" in Coronado.. who were Mexican, he died at 88. (he was the Vice Admiral) and they were like family to him. Their kids went to school in Coronado and spoke both English and Spanish and he made sure before he died they got their U.S Citizenship. So I am puzzled about that. The people being deported ARE NOT THOSE FOLKS and this should NOT BE CONFUSED. .. I HEAR YOU. LOUD AND CLEAR.
It used to be that when you married a citizen, or you had a sponsor for years, that you could get citizenship automatically. When I came here in 2003 that was long gone. When married to a citizen, you first get a green card, and 3 years later you can start the process of naturalization. No benefits. You have to promise that during this time you will not ask the govt for help. You also have to report how much money you got. From what I heard at the ceremony one wealthy person got it all done in 6 weeks. It took me almost 2 years.
Yes, I would also like to know how he was able to get them citizenship. As I said above, lawyers and employers can work it out. ONE - just one - of the people I taught and they are also friends at this point - was able to get citizenship that way. He created a mold for piping and his employer was impressed. That is why he was able to help him.
I also know that those that came under Biden get a LOT of perks. Some I know work with some from Guatamala. The Guatamalans laugh at my friends saying you came here at the wrong time - meaning they do not get or even want handouts. They get rent money, a work permit, food stamps, etc. The Mexicans are sickened by this.

Thank you! There are and were many Mexicans who had a sponsor. The one I am familiar with are in Arizona and California -- fruit pickers, etc. Those I'm speaking about came to have a better life and opportunities for their children. The government has used them and now wants them out. How callous.
that are the ones you want to keep. of course the govt is blind and deaf for that. all those that work, and pay taxes, and are not on hand-outs, are very welcome to me. We have a whole family of Mexicans in the gardening business living close by. What needs to go are the criminals, and all those that only come to suck up hand-outs, freebies.

If they are in let's say Home Depot and Ice comes in after someone who has criminal charges, if they are in close proximity, chances are good they will be swept up, too. Then it seems to be up to the mood of immigration whether or not they are sent to a deportation center. It has happened here to two that go to church with some I know.

Seeing the french fry one made me remember a question I had.
A few years back, acrylamide, a possible carcinogen, was identified in starchy foods cooked at high temps, especially potatoes used in chips and fries.
Has there been any discussion by HHS about a possible link to the seed oils used for frying these products?

Local Costco has been selling wagyu tallow since late ‘24/early ‘25. Pint jars - just about the right size. I’ve made my own tallow in the past (much less than a pint) but I prefer this stuff; I make my own ghee from Amish butter - 2lbs unsalted -> just under two wide mouth pints. In fact, making a new batch this weekend 😋
