More wonderful news from the Supreme Court on Tuesday. How do we put lipstick on this PIG? Sorry I’m a bit tired of every disastrous policy, outrageous law, redacted coverup, tax spending, deficit raising idea put into motion gets kicked down the road again and again to be “fixed later”. If you haven’t noticed nothing ever gets fixed later!

Who could ever think the writers of the 14th amendment, written just after the civil war in 1866 and ratified in 1868, would agree with the notion of birth tourist, many from enemy countries like China, coming to America, having children, getting citizenship for their child and then going back home. 320,000 births a year, or 9% of total births here are from foreigners. With Roberts and Barrett’s decision, this number could increase twofold. Later, for now, when the child comes back to the states the parents are able to get a type of green card status as the child’s guardian, or otherwise known as chain migration, enemy or not. So if we are to believe the founders intention of the 14th amendment was to let pregnant woman, citizens of foreign countries, into America so their newborn could be a citizen of America, are we to believe the civil war was not fought mainly over states rights and freeing the slaves, but the right for foreigners to come here, have children in our country that then become citizens? That is an asinine and a country destroying abrogation of the original intent of the law, and an abrogation of these justices job, which is to interpret the intent of the constitution. As Steven Miller said “Citizenship means nothing if it is open to anyone”. I don’t care what anyone says this is an outrageous abandonment of the authors intent, and to add gasoline on the fire, from what I understand, the Supreme Court also threw in that congress cannot add restrictions to their ruling, it can only be done by amendment. Good luck with that.

So I ask, when we have a whole political party that wants anyone and everyone to illegally come into America, possibly a billion people, and a Supreme Court that devalues tax paying law abiding citizens, devaluing people that may want to serve in the military, could there motive be their desire to eliminate pride in being an American?, because that’s what they’re doing. Does this world consist of 8 billion potential undocumented aliens? Or working my ass off, paying my taxes for, for what? So people from all over the world can walk across our border and receive more, better benefits than my family and I are allowed to receive? With a Supreme Court that acquiesces to the lefts destructive ideas they have created socialism on steroids. Why bother packing the court when there are already 5 crazy leftist liberal justices already drooling over destructing America, maybe that’s their motive. I’m trying to understand the benefit to the American citizen that has worked their whole life, paid tens of thousands possibly millions in taxes, served or had family serve putting their lives on the line, some being killed, some being disabled, all to protect our freedoms, and anyone can just come into this country, maybe have a kid, and get more benefits than the pawns, like myself. I say abolish the Supreme Court or at least recall these 5 compromised traitor scumbag lawyers on it that have intent or at least ignorance of the consequence of their decision that will destroy America from within their chambers. .

Here’s something sarcastically amusing to think about. When you get say a speeding ticket and your lawyer (not probably unlike your accountant) says you’re looking at 40 years to life in prison. Then the judge makes his ruling and you have to pay the 200 dollar fine, your lawyer says “see you were looking at life in prison but “I” got it reduced so you only have to pay 200 dollars”! (And 2000 in legal fees), “I” gave you a great win”!!

Happy Friday and Happy Independence Day 😒.

SCOTUS gave a road map to congress on how to fix the birthright issue. It was sent to the correct forum, congress, to fix it. SCOTUS did their job which is not to legislate. The problem is not with SCOTUS, but as usual congress. Talk to them.

James Goodrich's avatar

I do agree to a point, and maybe Trumps EO should have been pointed at the intent of the 14th amendment, but to me scotus should have ruled on the intent of the law as is bottom line their job.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

But we all know this Roberts led court knows a bill outlawing anchor babies, will never get through the Senate. So that advice a bit gratuitious.

dan brandt's avatar

It is not up to SCOTUS to legislate from the bench. They did their job. If the senate doesn't do theirs, that is not the fault of SCOTUS nor their responsibility to bear.

dan brandt's avatar

The amendment was based on current law of the time. That is where it was created and where intent was taken from. They did their job and told the congress to complete theirs unless what it states is the final answer to congress.

James Goodrich's avatar

Intent of the law is everything. The intent of the law for the 14th amendment was for children born from slaves to be American citizens. Trumps Executive order was just doubling down on the intent of the law. If Trump made an executive order that citizens have the right to free speech would the Supreme Court be able to strike it down? Or would they tell congress how to make it permanent? Your argument skirts the idea that the 14th amendment had a purpose and an original intent and that intent was not to allow any foreigner that comes into America the right to have a child to then automatically become an American citizen. This would go to all of our rights. EO for the freedom of religion the right to assemble, to keep and bear arms etc… The Supreme Court did legislate from the bench they do it all the time, sometimes by taking cases like this one and sometimes by not taking the case,

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

As James points out, it was unquestionable the sole purpose of that amendment was to promote former black slaves from property to personhood status. It was the original decision of SOTUS, whose alleged function is to correctly determine intent of legislation who blew it. This court merely rinsed and repeated.

dan brandt's avatar

“unquestionable the sole purpose of that amendment”

If that is what it meant, why didn’t it say so? Then wording was based on the times. How far can SCOTUS go in interpreting intent before they supplant the congress’ intent" and people complain about that?

James Goodrich's avatar

There were many discussions at that time about where people who reside in other countries are not included in receiving citizenship.

dan brandt's avatar

Be that as it may be. Then they should have included it in the law. The first consideration of any law by a court, is can it be understood by the plain language of the law. If not, then things like discussions and debate are looked at.

SR Miller's avatar

It’s not hopeless. Until a group of nine assembles and gets their collective heads out of their 🤬, legislation AND a serious border program can minimize the damage. Denying entry to (obviously ) pregnant women (pregnant men, too, for the couple democrats in this forum), restrict visas to 3-6 months and prejudicially enforce , finish the wall AND enforce.

But also take note of the Indian Citizenship Act (1924) that conferred (dual) citizenship on Americas natives belonging to tribes. Legislation altered/modified (an amendment to ) the Constitution, you’d think it could be done again - which was one of the points Kavanaugh made.

Chief Justice John Roberts Caught in Elitist Club of Judges and Lawyers That Includes James Boasberg, Beryl Howell, Amit Mehta and Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Investigative journalist Bad Kitty Unleashed reported on Thursday that Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts is involved in an invite-only club for elite judges in Washington, DC.

The elitist club America Inns of Court also includes the radical America-hating judges James Boasberg, Beryl Howell, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Amit Mehta—all hard-left judges and Trump-haters.

John Roberts has been Chief Justice of the Supreme Court since September 2005.

Is the Supreme Court Chief Justice holding meetings with far-left district judges who are running a judicial coup on the current President of the United States!?

Just think, two days ago, on Tuesday, Chief Justice Roberts released a statement attacking President Donald Trump for calling on these same crooked District judges to be impeached!

And now we have evidence that John Roberts was in an elitist group with these same judges!

Here is what Roberts said to the US President, who is under siege by the judicial branch.

So who all is linked to this selective and secretive club? And recall all of their negative Trump rulings?

– Judge James Boasberg (President)

– Scotus Ketanji Brown Jackson (Vice President)

– Judge Amit Mehta (Secretary and a meeting held at her court.)

– Judge Beryl Howell

Justice (Professionalism Award)

-Justice John Roberts (Honorary Bencher of the Middle Temple)

The list includes some of the most soulless and vicious judges in DC District Court.

George Soros has funded a fellowship at Middle Temple where John Roberts is a master of the bench.

First let me very quickly explain how this secret society called, the American Inns of Court came about. In the UK, they have the four Inns of Court that dates back hundreds of years. One of those is called Middle Temple (see Roberts photo). Well, the US created the American version of this in recent decades. There’s a massive list of branches.

The branch many of our judges belong to is The Edward Bennett Williams (EBW) Inn of Court. It’s so secretive, they deleted most signs of this branch from their website although they still met.

Roberts has been a disaster since Day One. It's all the more disheartening since he was supposedly a conservative. Sadly, he became Chief Justice instead of Associate, as he was originally nominated for. God help us if Thomas retires.

Chief Justice Roberts’ Secret Friendship with Trump Prosecutor Ally Norm Eisen Exposed...

In a bombshell revelation that’s sending shockwaves through conservative circles, it turns out Chief Justice John Roberts has been rubbing elbows with none other than Norm Eisen—the radical leftist operative who’s spent years orchestrating lawfare campaigns against President Donald Trump and his allies.

According to a report from Revolver News, Roberts didn’t just bump into Eisen at a D.C. cocktail party. No, these two are apparently such “good pals” that Roberts jetted off to the Czech Republic for a week-long sleepover at Eisen’s lavish 150-room palace.

It’s straight from the mouth of Norm Eisen himself—the very same man who practically wrote the Deep State’s instruction manual on how to destabilize political opponents via color revolutions, lawfare, and weaponized legal warfare against President Trump.

If my memory serves me adequately - Roberts was nominated by (globalist) Bush, further implying his takes on matters generally and this matter in particular.

For an even starker look at what the CCP is doing to the USA, read the book, "The Red Tsunami", by T. Casey Fleming. It's enough to make your blood boil.

Well, about bloody time - now the weekend can begin 😉 🤣

Jill, you and Robert have a great Fourth of July, too!

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

What a bunch of winners but the attempted murder gets my vote. Will add this question....if the birth person in the anchor baby one was named Barrett?

Favorite July kicking out June. We just attended Brandon Vt July 4 on July 3 Parade. Fire trucks from local surrounding towns, Rs and Ds political folks, many worthwhile groups, bands and the ghostbusters crew! Gives confidence that many of the thousands of small communities in the USA are still alive and well. Meanwhile we are on top of a Vt Mt on our property which was once given to the Green Mt militia solders who fought in the Revolution. So great to remain part of our inspiring formation!

Grandpa’s family grew cows in Brandon. Took mom - 93 - on a road trip there last summer. Beautiful and peaceful.

OK, I’ll admit, it WAS worth the wait - God Bless America.

Couple thoughts: every time I see that 💩 eating smile on the face of the Islamist commie Mamdani, cosplaying as HisHonor, the mayor of NYC, my blood boils and I see red. Barely a generation ago, IN NYC, Islamists attacked America, killing thousands of Americans and altering the skyline of what some call the world’s greatest city. For 47 years we’ve been at war against Islamists - which, for me, began with the Beirut bombings in 1983. How many decades have we been in conflict with/against the forces and ideology of socialism/communism/marxism?

And now our largest city is being "run" by an inexperienced child that embodies all of these -isms.

God Bless America is no longer a statement but a prayer, a plea for help.

Thought #2: being called a pedophile⁉️ did "racist " lose its cachet, is it no longer applicable? Ya’know, it wasn’t that long ago when NAMBLA was marching in the streets (of NYC?) for their right to groom and sexually molest children. Even today, it’s democrats who inject "drag queens" into our schools/libraries/public places - all the while calling normies "pedophiles." Well, nothing surprises me anymore: if American blacks can join and defend the Democrat party, if Jews can vote for Mamdani, … {sigh}

Might explain why I’m having visions of Sodom, Gomorrah and the other cities on that levant plain; and a pillar of salt.

May God richly bless you, Drs. JGM and RM, for your faithful honesty and sacrificial energy expenditure to bring us truth and humor. I have lived to see a revival, a turn-around, a renewal, both spiritual and political in this country. It may be for a moment, or for a generation, or longer. Only God knows, but He works through faithful people like you to effect good for this country. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Thanks for the funnies, Doc! We have the same heatwave here in CT. My wife went out and braided our horses' manes to help keep them cool. Happy 250 to you and Jill.

I guffawed out loud on a couple; Florida and a few other states! and fireworks fingers (not so funny when true) and the Supreme court rules a baby born at Olive Garden or anyplace, actually. The story about the elderly needing a person to check with is so true! I know you'll have a great 4th, and wish everyone a great celebration! I'm eating sushi and sake, not traditional but pretty healthy and I just love Sushi! (it doesn't have to be all fish, Tamago is egg custard, Yum)

Caitlin Clark knows as well as anyone that in the modern paradigm, it's her moral duty and penance to take the flagrant fouls without complaint. How dare she be that skilled? Her detractors lash out only due to the pain of historical injustice, right?

She is the poster child for the success of progressives promoting racial animosity.

What you tolerate, you will get more of!

We tolerated it when the radical left started changing the definition of words.

Now we have the Supreme Court redefining the meaning of the 14th amendment.

“Woman” was a word that was understood in all cultures for thousands of years. When we tolerated the radical left’s redefinition-to the point of appointing a Supreme Court justice who agreed with them - we got more of it.

Make your own list of all the words they have redefined.

Debra Nolasco's avatar

A couple of redefined words come to mind: vaccine & pandemic, for example.

Alan Davis (FlyoverAlinCT)'s avatar

Even the dissent in Anchor Babies Away didn’t refer to the 14th A in the context of the other two Reconstruction Amendments 13 and 15 which were also only about freed slaves.

The one that resonated the most with me....Modern medicine has reached the pinnacle of success - almost everyone is sick! Its true almost every American is taking one drug or more. The Medical Industry has raked in trillions for products, which are harming health with their destruction of the internal organs...and people want more medicine and medical treatments. .
