Here we go again, another Democrat run state, more stolen tax payer money going to naturalized and illegal aliens.

Federal prosecutors announced charges in a massive fraud scheme Tuesday. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston said the suspects stole the identities from victims across the country and used them to defraud U.S. taxpayers out of more than $1 million dollars.

At a press conference in Boston, authorities outlined the alleged scheme to steal supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP) and pandemic unemployment benefits. U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Leah Foley said it involved four people who allegedly stole the identities of more than 100 victims, including six children, and used them to illegally obtain government benefits. “Spending tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to purchase inventory for a restaurant in Massachusetts owned by the lead defendant, Raul Fernandez-Vicioso, a naturalized citizen from the Dominican Republic. Fernandez-Vicioso and his co-defendants, two of whom do not have legal immigration status, and one is a green card holder, use the stolen EBT cards to purchase large quantities of expensive bulk food items, such as multiple-pound packages of chicken, beef, and pork, at various local wholesalers and food markets to stock their restaurant at no expense to themselves, but at considerable expense to taxpayers,” she explained. I’m sure all four of these defendants not only voted in Massachusetts, but voted in Rhode Island as well.

President Trump has directed the Justice department to investigate this tip of the iceberg fraud. Massachusetts is overrun with illegal immigrants.

Previously Maura Healy, Ma. Governor, took over dozens of hotels, kicking out the tenants and placing the illegals in the rooms. In my home town there were 3 hotels the state took over and leased. Crime around the hotels went through the roof. Shoplifting, cars being stolen and Brocken into, there were even prostitutes on the corner of Elm St. and Washington St. just beside Bank of America. I’m sure they had accounts there.

The Feds have asked Governor Healy to hand over all of the recipients of EBT card and snap benefits to try to uncover this Minnesota style fraud going on. Rhode Island in June of 2024 told Governor Healy that the 117 fraudulent identities were all shown to be living in 2 apartments and all were collecting snap and EBT card benefits, Healy did nothing. Healy has also refused the Feds request for the list of EBT and snap beneficiaries.

We must not forget before her first term as governor it was uncovered, Maura Healy the then Massachusetts attorney general had hand picked 3 female state police officers and was having affairs with them. Of coarse Maura is up for reelection this November and if this fraud turns into what I’m sure is another Minnesota, Maura will go the way of Tim Walz. Like in Minnesota this is a pay to play scam. The people in power look the other way allowing taxpayer money to go to these illegals and the illegals give the democrats their votes. Massachusetts voted in a law giving illegals drivers licenses which automatically gives them the right to register to vote. Let’s pray this comes out and another communist Marxist traitor gets kicked to the curb J.Goodrich

Thanks James I wish someone would come up with a database for politians, input their name and it would show all of the things they've done in their time as a politician and for newbies just becoming a politician let's see what they've been up to before their bid to get into politics. Someone should be keeping track.... I'm sick of the fraud!

Brandy's avatar

Sounds like a good idea, but I am sure the government would not provide any informational data that would identify fraudsters. That will have to come from a well read and smart citizen.

Jane Tracy's avatar

We need more Nick Shirleys! It would be a great job for someone in their 20s or 30s who is curious and cares about their own generation’s future.

Paula Mitchell's avatar

Nick would be perfect!

Ana González's avatar

Paula, I was on another chat group today and I expressed the same thing. I said: We should call 📞 it the NAME & SHAME PLACE‼️‼️‼️

Paula Mitchell's avatar

If they have a database keeping track of our politians for the public I'd call.

So glad to be gone from Massachusetts after 50 years. It's white guilt central, and all the leftist crap that comes with that.

James Goodrich's avatar

After 60 years here I’m ready to leave. For me it’s the Maura Healy policy of driving my natural gas and electric bill to 2000 dollars a month. I have to leave while my house still has value. She’s destroying everything here.

Sarah Jett's avatar

J.G., Greetings from the Thumb Coast of MI! Come and take a look here! Yes, we've got "whatzaername," but we are pushing back -for now. If the gerrymandering comes a-calling, that may end our ability to come and go - but we have room for more of your thinking! Rath De Ort!

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

So James, where are you planning to head?

James Goodrich's avatar

I think we are going to NH. We have a Ranch type house there which is perfect for us.

Lonnie Bedell's avatar

I'm in Northern NH. Moved 3 years ago. People here are so nice & polite. Car insurance a fraction of MA. Short trips to MA make you realize how abhorrent the driving is there.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

What?? Elucidate, please!

James Goodrich's avatar

I got my utility bills about a week ago. I couldn’t open them because I’ve known what she has been doing. Electric bills have gone up 122% from last December. My electric bill for December was just over 500 dollars and my gas bill was 1500. This for an 1800 sq. ft. cape style house. She wants to continue raising rates on average 41% per year until 2050 when all buildings will be a net zero in fossil fuel use. Most all of this increase goes directly to the utility companies. It also needs to be approved by Maura Healy.

oldguy52's avatar

As I keep saying: If these people were trying to destroy the places they control, what exactly would they be doing differently?

AND, How stupid must the voters there have to be to keep electing these absolute losers?

$2000 is damned close to 10 TIMES what my utility bills (gas and elect.) amount to. I couldn't afford to pay that even if I wanted to.

Carole's avatar

Same here. After seeing some of the comments above, I have to wonder how ordinary folks can survive in those blue states! My electric company is run by a non-profit, and prices here have barely gone up at all over the past dozen years. Natural gas is a separate company, but they also manage to keep prices down. Goes to show, it can be done!

Lonnie Bedell's avatar

Massachusetts is a total 1 party state, and gender/race matter far more than ability. Hired a DEI candidate to run the subway, which then shut down for the 1st time in 140 years. She had 5x the travel budget of the person she replaced, just so they could virtue signal. So, real stupid.

Paula Mitchell's avatar

You should try East Tennessee it's still reasonable, they have gone up in price over the 6 years we've been here but still very affordable lots of other perks too.

Jean's avatar

We are having similar crises here. CONstellation Energy, our provider, was put together by Obama boys. I have to wonder if we aren't all suffering from crooks and keystone AI developers? From Big Pharma and Big Food on to the Big Energy sucks.

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

UNreal.

2700 sq ft home, Minnesota, land of ICE! YaY!

-- about 7 mo over winter propane = ~ $1500 total!

-- Elec = ~ $150/mo

slab on grade, highly insulated.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

That's incredible. My sister just rented a house outside of West Palm Beach, Florida, with 2 roommates at $2800 per month--utilities included. I realize they don't need a lot of heating, but they do have it when they need it. This whole "net-zero" garbage is the result of PTB wanting control, not "saving the earth".

oldguy52's avatar

They may not need much heat, but they make up for it with their air conditioners.

And yes, "net zero" was never a realistic possibility.

Tom Daniel's avatar

James? Do you recall seeing and hearing Barry Soterio - aka Barrack O'Butthead - on national TV (BEFORE) he even won the presidential election, exclaim: "With My Plan, Electricity Prices Will Necessarily Skyrocket."(VERBATIM quote). WHY would ANYONE want to do that the the American people?

Lonnie Bedell's avatar

Why would anybody vote for that?

Tom Daniel's avatar

Make that TOO the American people. ( I NEED a proof reader! LOL!

Make haste and get your family out of there ASAP before you won't be able to leave.

Thank you for this. based on a cursory look-see I'm for all, don't really understand number 1 yet. This is for Republican Primary Voters. the democrats have their own list and ballot, I would like to see their Primary Ballot, I wonder if they even mention the Sharia Law problem. I'm voting for sure and the few fellow conservatives I know are as well. It has long been suspected that Dems vote in Republican Primaries.

Ana González's avatar

The Sharia proposition is only for Republicans because we want it to be up for a vote to be codified in the November election.

Tom Daniel's avatar

"lefty leadership" LOH? Make that the MO of Communists.

Ana González's avatar

LoverOfHills, yes, we have our problems in Texas. That is why Steve Bannon is broadcasting his WarRoom show from Texas until our Primaries on March 3rd. Our Grassroots of America 🇺🇸 group is working to turn this situation around. Our biggest problem is exactly what Steve said today. The other side is at war. Our side isn't. IMHO, they're more concerned of superficial things like the Super Bowl 🏈. We have a Nero fiddling 🎻 away while Rome burns situation‼️

That malaise is killing our entire country. I believe that we have sleeper cells ALL OVER THIS ONCE GREAT COUNTRY.

I went to the Boston area on business a couple of years ago. I made it a point to see Lexington Green and the Concord Bridge. A very moving experience.

It must be terribly embarrassing for the locals to have such within their midst. Imagine, a monument to people using privately owned guns to resist the legitimate governmental authority! That "church" across the street from Lexington Green was exactly what I expected to find. And the official museum was still doing the mandatory mask thing long after anyone with sense recognized that it made no sense.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

Ya know, if Trump proves the '20 election was stolen think maybe the dems will claim biden served that term as his surrogate so this is his 3rd and so illegal. Sounds like them doesn't it?

Joy Metcalf's avatar

At this point, I think the 2020 election was a blessing in disguise. The Covid 19 policies showed people what was really at risk, and the "vaccines" woke a lot of people up. When Trump was reelected, we actually got people who care, like RFK Jr. When you look at his cabinet and his own history, it's clear how many were Democrats--which just shows how sick the Democratic Party has become; it's best people have taken flight.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

It also gave us some 20 million invaders we now have to deal with in the face of opposition from the streets and in Congress

Joy Metcalf's avatar

Yes, and as I've observed before, ICE is between a rock and a hard place. No "papers please" for citizens, but then how do you identify aliens? For myself, even though I am a strong proponent of standing on rights guaranteed by the Constitution, I probably would be glad to show ID if ICE came around.

Fritz Dahmus's avatar

E-Verify...........a very good place to start.

Ana González's avatar

Fritz, that sounds like a solution, but when I had my business, I used the E-verify. I had no idea that I didn't have to use it because it ISN'T ENFORCED ‼️‼️‼️

it's just like all of our other laws that aren't enforced.

1. It is illegal for illegals to vote.

2. Illegals aren't eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Driver's licenses, SNAP benefits, on and on at nauseum.

Brandy's avatar

Yes, that is very unfortunate.

Ana González's avatar

We have people who came in without DUE PROCESS but NOW, we have to give them DUE PROCESS in order to get them the HELL OUT OF OUR NATION‼️‼️‼️

Brandy's avatar

I tend to agree regarding the 2020 election. It made us aware of fraudulent voting and work that much harder to get the vote out and watch the polling places. It also gave Trump time to realize the political arena is a cesspool.

I am not sure what you have against naturalized citizens. I became an American citizen in 2012, went through all the stuff and paid the fees, and now pay taxes just like everyone else. Remember that all white people in this country were once aliens.

James Goodrich's avatar

I have nothing against naturalized citizens until they are let in and then start theiving taxpayer money from poor needy families to line their own over stuffed pockets. This guy wasn’t vetted! Just like the other 25 million Biden let in. If you have come here vetted and live a good upstanding life as I’m sure you have Ingrid I am extremely happy you became a citizen, that’s how my family and I ended up here.

INGRID C DURDEN's avatar

ah yes, of course I agree with that! and I also think it should be possible to deport the 'citizens' who behave totally incitizenlike! contrary to some stackers who reprimanded me for saying so. If a person becomes a citizen but keeps on favoring the old country - why don't they go back? (I do sometimes regret our lovely swimming pool and some of the food LOL)

Sheila Barkofske's avatar

Glad to see that you think it should be possible to deport people who behave in a bad way. Unfortunately, that might end the grift. Speaking as a grandchild of immigrants, my one lasting impression was that they came from nothing to NOTHING (no EBT cards, free housing, medical care, education or Quality Learing Centers) but a chance, an opportunity & in return they pledged their allegiance— not as Irish/English/Italian/French/Black-Americans - just Americans, to America. & in the process built the greatest country the world has ever known. In return for their efforts, their 2nd/3rd generation descendants are doing their level best to destroy it (many of whom should also be deported). I do not need hear from a woman who was lifted out of the hell hole of Somalia with nothing but her life to be brought to this country to become a millionaire (via grift) just so she can utter the words “G-D America”. If that makes me sound intolerant, then so be it.

INGRID C DURDEN's avatar

this country has often treated descendants bad, like the Japanese internated and into slavery while their sons faught for this country. And as you state, we came without getting anything at all (I even signed that in the first 5 years I would ask the govt for nothing). What a difference with those that entered on all the benefits! I completely agree with your last sentence, and do not understand Americans who want to pay endlessly for people who come to profit off of them!

Diana Woodward's avatar

My husbands grandfather came from Italy. We found out a few years ago, they if he had kept his citizenship, be a dual citizen which is allowed with some countries, then his descendants could also get dual citizenship.

But as with most of the immigrants of the 1600's, my family, to the 1800's, they and my husbands grandfather, denounced their citizenship of their former country and went all in as Americans.

Brandy's avatar

Welcome, Ingrid. Thank you for entering our country and becoming a citizen. I applaud you. It is never easy to leave home and learn new ways. I hope you are happy in the United States.

INGRID C DURDEN's avatar

Thank you both, Brandhy and pretty guy ! I am very happy here in my cabin in the woods!

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

and, I will second THAT one!

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

We once did that with mafia Italians

James Goodrich's avatar

I think that was my grandfather🙄. Honestly he worked his ass off. My uncle had a book from the depression days, I don’t know how, but they listed him as one of the richest men in the country. ??? He did own 60 apartment houses at one time.

Sheila Secrist's avatar

I love that you stand up for what real, good immigration is and means. I wish all legal immigrant American citizens would stand up together and very loudly. I've known many like yourself who feel just as you do but they've never joined together (that I know of) to come against the bad border policies as a large, collective voice.

Those of us born here are told we don't know anything - comparatively, same as a white person being against reparations. 🙄

Ana González's avatar

Yes, James.

Especially all of the current naturalized politicians who are anti-America and very much pro their country of origin.

dan brandt's avatar

Not the ones born here. Which is the vast majority. Try again?

INGRID C DURDEN's avatar

I think that birthright should be ended. People can immigrate because a woman gave birth on American soil. I think that is not right, either.

I think America is the only country that has this rule.

What I was thinking of, is all the illegals that come to a country (not just the US, Spain is planning to naturalize 500 000 illegals), commit crimes, and defend their old country and protest the US. Such people do not belong here, or wherever they are. If you want to defend a country other than the US you should go there.

James Goodrich's avatar

You know what really bothers me is people like naturalized Ilhan Omar. She has lied stolen scammed her way to 35 million dollars. She hates America and wants to destroy it. How she is allowed to stay here is telling to our immigration system. Look at George Soros another naturalized citizen. Meanwhile there are millions of families like mine, whose father served on WW2 putting his life on the line for his country. There are millions like me. My Brother John served as an Army Ranger for 5 years. He has also died. My siblings and I have paid millions in taxes over our lives, and people come here who hate what so many of us have sacrificed for them, they not only don’t appreciate it they hate us. Tell me how am I supposed to like that. No matter what Joe Biden says, the man that lived off of others hard work his entire life, can’t change my idea that people coming here should be strictly vetted. As I try to make a living in a state overrun with illegal aliens that work for next to nothing I find myself having to sell my family’s house and leave because of people like Maura Healy who isn’t even from here, same with her counter part Mayor Wu.

INGRID C DURDEN's avatar

that is the kind of people I was thinking of first. These people do not care for the country or its citizens. How Omar got elected is a mystery to me (I do believe they imported all these illegals and then let them vote, how else would she get elected?) I don't think Hungary wants Soros back LOL. Someone asked Orban a while ago! As to immigrants being vetted, I waited over a year to be sworn in, while a rich woman in the group, driving a Mercedes and obviously wealthy, waited 6 weeks. I was in my late husbands 20 year old Toyota minibus.

Brandy's avatar

Immigrants forget the part about "assimilating" and if they don't want to do that, they shouldn't immigrate.

INGRID C DURDEN's avatar

absolutely! I also do not like how some nationalities will ghetto together. We do have a large family of Mexican people living here, but they live among American people and are friendly to everyone. They are hard working, and have a gardening business.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

Right. During the nationalization process, you take an oath to abandon fealty to your previous nation and rulers and swear fealty to the U.S. If someone is still showing loyalty to their former country, then they have lied and broken their oath.

WRT birthright, hopefully that will end when the Supreme Court makes a determination this year. The 14th Amendment was intended for former slaves; it was never intended to be a broad brush for illegal immigrants to stay. BTW, I have friends who have dual citizenship in the UK and Italy because they were born there, so this is not an exclusively U.S. policy, the important caveat being that their parents were living there legally.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

Which is precisely why dual, citizenship is antithetical to our Founding

oldguy52's avatar

Teddy Roosevelt had that right. Too bad so many of us seem to have forgotten his words of wisdom on this subject.

There should be no hyphenated Americans!

INGRID C DURDEN's avatar

this is what I think, too. one cannot serve 2 masters, so to say.

INGRID C DURDEN's avatar

dual citizenship is a pain! I have barely thought about keeping my Belgian citizenship, because I never intended to move back again, and the consulate would give me a French speaking representative, while I speak Dutch (and refuse to speak French because they should be bilingual) and my late friend had the opposite! Passport costs double, have to pick it up at the embassy, go fingerprint and apply there as well... so it was not at all hard to give up. My whole family is still in Belgium. Makes no difference for either of us.

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

. . . or be exiled there!

Sarah Jett's avatar

SR Miller's avatar

Well, I was never an alien, neither was my father&mother. Now, if you wanna talk about grands - ya got me: maternal grands came here about 1900 AD +/-, farmed, raised good Americans; paternal grands were 🤔 🤔 🤔 definitely not MAGA, neither were their immediate offspring nor were half my sibs and most/all cousins. It’s safe to say that dad’s dad was a Marxist from Eastern Europe.

Since my lineage arose after the War ‘tween the States, none of us took part in slavery or segregation, there are no lynching skeletons in my closet, did not take part in setting up the res system and no involvement in putting Japanese-American citizens behind chain link fences — I am amazingly free of any "white" guilt or, for that matter, any Carpathian or Bohemian guilt.

Further, technically, if we’re gonna go with the Origin of Species discussion, we’re all aliens here in the Americas, Asia and Europe. It’s just that some of us got here sooner. That being the case then, as has been the story going allllll the way back to the primordial ooze, possession comes down to who wants the land and/or resources more and is most willing or capable to defend or conquer.

If ya wanna get even more real, the folk we call our Native Americans, were not the first humans in the Americas - those folk arrived as much 25,000 years ago, 12-13,000 years before the second wave of humans we so fondly call American aboriginals. What happened to the REAL/first original settlers? 🤷‍♀️ Some think, and there’s evidence, that the Younger Dryas die off was especially severe in the americas (nearby comet trail or impact affected climate for a millennium or two) to the point that those humans couldn’t survive.

So the question I always have, why would I care that much about/for a people (other than they being people) who had access to some of the most resource rich territory on the face of the globe AND DID NOTHING MORE THAN LAY ABOUT WORKING ON THEIR SUN TANS? The wheel?, lever?, pulley?, they had fire - BRAVO, largest boat - canoe, any metal working, smiths, gunpowder — they were at best a Stone Age people who would never fully climb the technological ladder, no different than the humans who remained in Africa. Even the horse, which at least in my mind is tightly associated with our native Americans, was not available to them until Europeans (Spanish) brought them back - yup, even tho it seems the horse evolved in the Americas, it died off here but not until after it had crossed the Bering strait land bridge.

Hey Doc, you look different in that Emu video. Did you get a new haircut?

That poor lovely girl; she's so right about the EU. And I do hope someone carefully removes that sign handle from her face.

Meemanator's avatar

I was wondering about that. LOL

Carole's avatar

LOL... Yeah, I saw that too! Gotta pay attention to details!

Why aren’t politicians being held to account? Aren’t they responsible for our tax money? Shrugging your shoulders and claiming you had no idea no longer works for me. It’s time to create a third party in this nation. It surely won’t be easy but it’s glaring that the two we have now are in cahoots as Trump has done everything through executive order with almost no help from a republican congress that even has to bow to the Dems over DHS and shut the Govt. down briefly. How is this even possible? Recall when the Dems owned congress and Pelosi told us “you gotta vote on the bill to see what’s in it”. I’m beyond pissed with this “uni-party” we are 40 trillion in debt and they are worried about files related to a guy who has been dead for half a decade already. It’s a shell game. They create hysteria over something the media runs with it and the fuckery is going on behind the scenes. It’s happening in England with Nigel Farage being its leader and likely becoming the next Prime Minister. I think a third party that is centrist and appeals to common sense can win now. I’ve had it with these two.

" Trump has done everything through executive order with almost no help from a republican congress "

Not only Trump but the number of executive orders has gone way up over the past several presidents. This is clearly unconstitutional since the Executive is not supposed to MAKE law, that's the purview of Congress. Like it or not, Congress is the legislative branch and they're do nothings.

I'd love to see a third party, but Congress has placed many obstacles in the way. I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Yes, I know it’s almost impossible but I’m outta ideas.

What is needed is responsibility distributed. Any time money and power are centralized you get corruption. The way to stop that is to disperse decision making across the entire population. Or to describe it differently: Seperate spending from funding. Politicians get to propose spending but ONLY citizen taxpayers should be allowed to approve funding. I have lots more to say on this but I’ll spare everyone my ramblings.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

I think things would improve vastly if there were only one topic per bill, and there had to be time to read each one. The number of bills presented would go down and Congress would know what they were voting for.

James Schwartz's avatar

Concur. I’m just angry and this two party system was exactly what the forefathers were worried about. We the people need to rise up!

Responsibility distributed? As in government at the lowest level? Now you’re quoting Jefferson.

I think a 3rd party really IS a bad idea. It splinters the power of BOTH other parties and has potential to make ALL three of them benign; increases the power, indirectly, of the bureaucratic long-prevailing morons, the President, and SCOTUS.

I still believe strongly in the TWO party system where both are strong and have strong opinions for improving our country. Let the electorate choose and keep their decision and thoughts simple. The electorate does not CARE to make decisions. When they DO(vote) it needs to be a simple enough decision that the results TRULY reflect the will of the majority. A president needs to KNOW he has a mandate to do certain MAJOR things for which he ran on and was elected. With a 3rd party he can only figure he has a mandate for some fraction of the whole-- a much smaller one than if 2 parties! -- a rudder with only a half length blade. He will wander aimlessly across the vast ocean and maroon the damn ship!

Just think back to every time a 3rd party candidate hosed the election-- most prominently with the Great Ross Perot. He would have been a great president but made a great error not accepting the primary and not running as a Republican next time around. He gave up. Instead Clinton arrived thanks to Rosso!

I'm registered as non-partisan, but that's mainly because I got sick and tired of all the junk mail around election time, and constantly being hit up for money. But, I vote conservative... And honestly, after what the Dems did to Justice Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings, I swore I'd never vote for a Democrat again!

Diana Woodward's avatar

When I first registered in my new state years ago, it was non affiliated, thats what Oregon calls an independent. Ive hated both parties for some time now.

But I soon realized I was not able to participate in any of the primaries. The R primary is really important to vote in, so please switch to R and get a primary ballot. You'll have to hold your nose and compromise, but we have more control to change the R party and move it right.

Hilarious to read Eugyppius' posts about the multi-party system in Germany. Seems the only thing they can agree on is that they all hate the AfD, and the AfD are the only people with any sense!

Look at the instability of parliamentary govs. How many has France had since WWII? And other examples abound.

The meme about the bathroom hand dryers reminded me of when these were installed at work. I washed my glasses with soap and water and instead of drying them with a paper towel, I thought it would be a good idea to use the hand dryer. It left a light film with small white specks on my lenses. It's something you would never notice on your hands.

Frozen windshields. Here's a helpful tip for all those paid protesters traveling north from warmer climes: Just pour piping hot water on that windshield, and that ice will be gone in a snap. Of course, this tip is of little use to those traveling by skateboard.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

LOL! And so will their windshields!
