There are things that are done that we know in our hearts are just wrong. We have been faced with a mountain of wrong for years in this country.

The best thing that could ever happen to the generation of kids that are in public schools right now is if this woke department of education gets out of local and public schools. Over the summer I went into my local high school and walked around a bit. Right in the main lobby is a big glass case filled with rainbows, trans info, woke info, nothing educational at all. All this Marxist woke agenda which has nothing to do with education, being stuffed down the throats of these pour kids. I couldn’t help but think of 8th grade kids in China taking calculus courses, getting a real class A education, while our kids are getting a headful of mind numbing nonsense. Nothing that will help them in life’s journey. The department of education, which has completely failed our kids, should have been gone decades ago when Ronald Reagan was president. It figures Jimmy Carter was its creator.

Although an agnostic, I am somewhat bemused by our Republic's drift into secularism. Read a book recently that may offer a clue. It mentioned how the hardened protestant Harvard college was transformed in the 1800s by embracing Unitarianism. Hmm. Born and raised in the Bible Belt have little personal knowledge of Unitarians tho have attended one of their services which struck me as being as religious as Wednesday nite bingo. And so because the gap between secularism and Unitarianism seems not so large to me as to be unbridgeable, I wonder, knowing how Harvard emulation has infected academia, if this was not the open door to secularism our Republic seems to be embracing. And that movement to secularism is the necessary first step for all the parasitic isms of the deranged Marxists (pardon the redundancy).

Many philosophies, many religions and many independants. In the end isn't it finding accommodations that foster a cooperative, responsible, productive society?

When, they will cooperate. Many will not

There goes "good intentions" down the drain, from Jimmy. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Very snappy stuff. You guys always bring back more from conferences than was there.

Give an illegal parasitic invader a fish and feed him for a day.

Deport him, and you never have to feed him again.

Dolly Parton was (and will always be) a beautiful angelic being that brought (and still brings) joy, comfort and spiritual inspiration through her music and charitable endeavors. She is an example of the true Christian life for all of us.

DSA, the long-term psy-war, and the inundation of weirdness. Not funny, but rather devastating.

I went to a UPS store yesterday to ship a modem back to AT&T. The young woman, whose manner was pleasant enough, had what might have been a dozen piercings about the nose and mouth. Like braces on the outside. This a thing now; I'm seeing nose and mouth gear frequently. Frequently!

Also yesterday, I drove to a bike shop for a new rear tire and tube. The young man, whose manner was pleasant enough, had hair to the middle/lower back, and I glanced at what might have been incipient breasts.

There is a war being waged on the American/western mind. Still it goes on and on. I see it everywhere I look, and it prompts its own form of grief in me.

Where do you live ? I am seeing the opposite here. Our local Starbucks used to be that way and now none of them have tatoos or piercings. The young people at our gym are clean as a whistle. I am in deep blue Maryland (though my section is more red), so it has been surprising.

Interesting contrasts. Ho Co. Murders at the mall and up Harper's Farm way. Car thefts and rumbles. Latest we're building an agricultural center and a skate park. Do we need a clearer focus not to mention a more frugal approach?

I am in what has traditionally been a red state, where I have lived since the early 90s. I can hardly recognize it anymore.

Wow. That’s awful. I hope it turns around as it seems to be doing here.

Following closely on the heels of 3-4 trips to Half Price Books to sell off accumulated books and CDs in an effort to simplify/downsize for a move. Bearded ladies, dyed hair & eyebrows, and piercings galore. What has happened to us?

Short maybe but sweet. Particularly appreciated the demise of the water bed.

Loved them all. clipping the one about 3rd graders. The Christian one is good, but since none of us are perfect (except maybe Dolly) these days, a truly radical Christian is one who actually believes.

Our dog lets us sleep in the bed with her too! She is a little overweight black lab and she knows how to get the space she wants! Love that!

Much needed humor today, so many are living off of my hard earned retirement..Almost ready to say enough, but then I know some that are truly in need. Just, so many that are using this system we have allowed to grow at our expense. God Bless and keep the farm productive, farmers are the backbone of the USA.

Brownstone, Polyface, the Malones - what a weekend! Many pleasures to all!

Dolly. Never knew her, just had heard of her. Current news. Sorry she's gone.

With the Demoncrats, it extends far beyond fish!

Water beds. Did wonder about that. Dog nails too. Cute kitty 😺

Dog appetites! I learned my fav cat's buddy (a German Shepard) is getting critical care after not eating for over a week! Talk about concerned parents.

As an aside, saw a clip of a shep like yours herding a duck family. Nosing the babies to keep the family together. Too cute.

None tracking litter.... does it still matter now they have Flock?

Happy Days & Merry Melodys!

Enjoy!
