Dr. Malone, a very close friend of mine just went through a terrible bout of blood clotting. He received two shots of the Pfizer vaccine back in 2020-2021. He has made it through so far but the interesting part is that every doctor he saw over his 21 days in the ICU, asked him if he had received any Covid vaccines. It's a little late to be asking that question now isn't it?

Make no mistake. As horrifying as it sounds, to many RFK is the new purveyor of "misinformation," while Fauci occupies the throne of a hero.

Noel's avatar

I feel there actually has to be caution in releasing what they know. Makary and RFK are relatively silent on the subject. I have to believe there is a reason, and it probably has something to do with "slow and steady as she goes "

I must add a question, have you met those who revere Fauci for the "vaccine," but hate Trump for Operation Warp Speed. For those of you who wonder, I really think Trump is proud of OWS because it broke the world hysteria about Covid. A change in administrations and agendas launched the mandates, which was the true globalist agenda. Can you even imagine what they'd be saying if the vaccine manufacturers launched a campaign about Trump being the only one who stood in the way of vaccine development?

weedom1's avatar

Trump took the jabs himself. And his warp speed involved many parameters of COVID response. So I excuse his non medically educated, self consistency.

There is no excuse for Fauci throughout the entirety of his career.

FCinNH's avatar

Many people who took the shot have not had issues with it. Many have. Human biology is sufficiently variable that some will be more susceptible to side effects and others won't. I didn't take it after I read a review paper about how mRNA "vaccines" worked and the issues they had had developing them. It seemed to me (I'm a clinical laboratory tech, so know a lot about antibodies and immunity since immunoassays are now a big piece of the technology and we do a lot with antibody titers for diagnosing disease and immunity status) that there were risks that I felt had not been well charcterized that were potentially dire.

I agree that Trump was given bad advice by people with an agenda that was inimical to the health of the population, but he can't be thoroughly knowledgeable about everything. I certainly has large areas of ignorance because of lack of time or lack of interest. We all do. He trusted the "experts," not realizing that those "experts" weren't disinterested arbiters of fact, but were operatives with an agenda they wanted the opportunity to pursue. And as important as the issue was it wasn't the only thing he had to deal with at the time.

weedom1's avatar

The handling and transport of the jabs presented many logistical challenges. This caused me to have immediate interest in the "how bad is my batch" database, which is a gift to humanity.

For numerous reasons, including manufacturing conditions as well as transport and handling, the various batches performed very differently with respect to producing adverse reactions.

The injection technique likely had a good deal to do with differences in distribution of the jabs in the body. There used to be effort to prevent injecting into a significant blood vessel. That technique is no longer taught, though some might still do it.

I've been glued to the Nepetalactone Substack by @Anandamide, Kevin McKernan. He has been investigating the nucleic acid contents of the jabs.

Noel's avatar

None. He is the modern day Mengele.

ComeQuicklyLord's avatar

I don’t hate Trump for OWS, because he was surrounded by bad people, but with all the evidence coming out, to continue advocating for it is no longer ignorance. He’s a bit busy with a plethora of issues facing America, so I do not expect him to dive deep into that issue right now—the Democrats are in constant war mode against our Republic, so yeah, he’s a bit preoccupied.

Leo's avatar

ComeQuick - T doesn't have to "dive deep" into the vaxx issues. All he has to do is listen to his own people - aka Kennedy.

oldguy52's avatar

There is another aspect to Trump’s reasoning on “warp speed” that very few people seem to be considering. What would be the consequences for the economy if things had proceeded the way the leftys were talking in the summer of 2020? They were talking about the five years it would take to develop a vax for this virus and being locked down for the entire time while we waited. This would have been an absolute death sentence for our and probably most of the rest of the world’s economies. Trump understood this. Warp speed was more about breaking the mass formation psychosis and getting the frightened people out of their houses and back to work again. What Trump (and the rest of us) really couldn’t know and we all mistakenly hoped wouldn’t happen was that big pharma would sell us a bunch of snake oil. Had the vax actually been worth a shit this would have worked like a charm and the lefty’s/globalist’s plan to crash the economy would have been absolutely crushed. As it was though, Trump did save us from economic suicide.

WRE's avatar

Yep!! As for "snake oil" ... you're almost literally correct!! Covid is an anagram for Cobra Venom kills by shutting down the Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptors (nAChRs) (respiration centers) in the brain!! Can you say "We need respirators."???

And... did you notice the word "nicotinic"?? Nicotine is NOT addictive and is not dangerous in the body!! But the "flavoring agents" added to tobacco are both!!

Look up the astounding research by Dr. Bryan Ardis about snake venom and nicotine!! "The truth will set you free!" "Remdesivir" has been shown in multiple laboratories to be literally powdered snake venom!!!

Mary Budinger's avatar

Had they distributed ivermectin early on, there would have been no death sentences other than the normal culling that respiratory viruses do each winter. And the economies would not have been shut down. But this was not a public health response. We can't know what all it was, but we've seen now in the Epstein files that this was an economic opportunity long in the making.

Big E's avatar

Honestly, we think this is a case of MUCH BETTER late than never. Maybe our message is finally getting out and people who (maybe) knew all along are asking the right questions at last.

Yes, it's too little and it's late. But think about all the too little too lates throughout history, some of which took WAY LONGER to be realized as truth:

* Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine (and lots of other things) can treat COVID.

* Most childhood diseases were on the wane before vaccines arrived and generally are treatable.

* Smoking causes cancer.

* Lobotomy destroys the brain.

* Handwashing is necessary before delivering babies.

* The earth is round.

* The earth revolves around the sun.

* and on and on.

Most people purveying the above ideas were dismissed, financially destroyed, or even killed. Eventually, the ideas were excepted as "of course that's true."

So let's celebrate every win and keep working hard to spread truth like a virus until everyone is infected with it.

Leo's avatar

Big Ears, Yes - Perspective tells the story that we can't/won't see through a single lens.

WRE's avatar

Only one mistake in that list ... "smoking" does NOT cause cancer!! The chemicals added to the the tobacco products (pyrazines) are what cause the problems!! If smoking tobacco leaves were deadly then... how did centuries of indigenous tribes not all die of lung cancer??? And, almost all veggies contain nicotine... do you know anyone who is addicted to eggplant!! Look up Dr. Bryan Ardis!!

Noel's avatar

It depends on where you live!! Most of what I hear (I work in a community hospital in a blue State) are the doctors occasionally mentioning long Covid, but even bringing up the jab is a point of no return and still likely a threat on their careers depending on the receptiveness of the patient. Now programmed AI for those who are even curious is a whole new problem. Putting out the unsupported information without personal investment.

Perhaps but you may wish to look into the Wellness Company headed by Doctors Pinsky and Mccullogh. It appears they are on track to offset this vaccine damage.

Barbara Lee's avatar

I got Covid twice, never took the vaccine, still have serious clotting problems especially in my legs that doctors have admitted must be the result of the disease (thanks to Fauchi!). However, The medicine for this is worse than the Vascular impairment. I get some relief from the following: beet root powder, nattokinase, aged garlic (the 3year old stuff) and an intense coco chocolate. Each is supposed to improve circulation by raising nitric oxide and improving the blood vessel walls. I mix them in fruit juice and coffee (separately— not together—I’m eccentric, not crazy). Might help him too.

You'll hear people say, "I've had all the shots and I'm fine!" What they don't know is ... a portion of those shots (I don't know how much or how many but you can be damn sure Pfizer does) were PLACEBOS!! Remember all the shots were/are part of an "experiment" under "Emergency Use Authorization"!! Any meaningful "experiment" needs "controls"!!

At one point (I guess before they were fully controlled) some officials in New Zealand found several shipments of "vaccines" (all labeled and numbered) that contained only SALINE SOLUTION and sent them all back!!

Covid was/is a multi-faceted "experiment" by the Dark Side to see what works and what doesn't in their ongoing efforts to obliterate the human race!! Think about the similarities between the "Spanish Flu" epidemic in 1918 and Covid (almost exactly 100 years later)!!!

We all need to keep perspective on what the democrats are all about. Just look at the blue states and the blue cities they’re an economic crime ridden mess and that’s what will happen federally if they win the midterms. Trump is a lion willing to put his life on the line to keep this country from allowing this communist revolution a foothold. You can say what you want about him but he is fighting the Bolsheviks. If the republicans and their voters allow the house and senate to go full blown communist Trump will be impeached, he will be prosecuted and jailed, the filibuster will be overturned, the Supreme Court will be packed with democrats, the borders will be opened, free speech will be gone, taxes on wealth will be put in place, property taxes will rise, all energy cost will go through the roof, people will be jailed for political reasons, and generally government will crush prosperity. just look at blue cities and states, it’s all lies. Obama and Biden did such damage to this country wait until you see what happens if the democrats take control of all three levers of power. We may never come back.

MrsMc's avatar

thank you for this post. I'm too am concerned about midterms. Just some musings One thing i have been wondering about is the "Real ID". Texas has had Real ID since October 2016. I just had my DL renewed and I had to go to the DMV. I had to have proof of citizenship, and documents of why my name is now different than my birth cert. ie. marriage and/or divorce papers, DMV has list of appropriate documents...my drivers license is fully compliant (It always had the correct name but it expired and I had to go in - now they are b and w with the gold star. FYI, I do not have a passport. A current passport apparently works as well as a Real ID. Real ID you may know cannot be used for air travel. We are also required to register to vote well in advance of an election and to show ID (passport or Real ID) when we are there. I saw an article recently about how "communist or NWO" the Real ID is and we should not comply - this was a conservative point of view. So I looked up when the "Real Id Act" was passed and that was in 2005 and GW Bush was president. AI says all states even blue states are now in 2026"Real ID" compliant. However, it has been noted here before but i am learning Chat GPT AI is very biased to the left which is concerning. I am hopeful the Save America Act will be passed, but President Trump has indicated he will not quit working toward voter integrity including voter ID, and even perhaps paper ballots, no conservative I know of, especially not President Trump trusts electronic voting machines.

Ana González's avatar

MrsMc, you are right about AI being biased. AI scours the internet and it simply reflects the current bias of the internet.

CMCM's avatar

California has been pushing the Real ID for awhile now, but when I got my driver's license renewed last summer (had to take a written test, get a new photo etc.) I was still able to decline getting a Real ID. So it's not yet totally required here.

Is he fighting the Bolsheviks, or is he fighting with them? "By deception we will war"

With algorithms, people are mind manipulated into fear. And, "We're the good guys," while others are subhuman. A good way to start a civil war, which seems to be the goal.

Isn't there a bill this year about stopping free speech criticizing the government of Israel?

There are already laws in place against discrimination and violence of anyone.

Taxes on wealth have pretty much been eliminated.

Energy costs will go through the roof with Republicans starting a war that could turn into WWIII!

Both Parties are in locked step with one causing a problem, and the other causing more problems with a "solution."

And, giving themselves "immunity"

They are run by puppet masters behind the scenes, who install anyone they want to represent them. Every single electronic voting/counting machine can be hacked.

Is the Save Act giving the federal government even more power?

Is that why States are looking to keep their power over the voting, while the media further controls minds into thinking otherwise?

James Goodrich's avatar

A lot of people like Obama/Biden democrat/communism. If they get in usually the ones that go along with it, their supporters, are the first ones they throw in the gulags. Happy Spring everyone! Today in Central Wisconsin we are expecting a high of 59 and tomorrow 72 degrees. Just a few days ago we had 18 inches of snow and a high of 22 degrees. a lot of snow still needs to melt. I felt all of my 75 years snow throwing and shoveling in stages. What a hard winter it has been. looking forward to e-bike rides again.

Re: " How lunch was done before fast food joints" = We still eat in or by the car when we travel. for years when we did trade shows we drove and would go to a grocery store to buy good bread, cold, cuts tomatoes, etc. to make our lunches. Today the fast food is so terrible and expensive we still do it when we go on long drives.

Dr. Robert W. Malone's avatar

We mostly create our own food for long trips also.

Melanie Reynolds's avatar

We always packed lunches for road trips. Eating out with a family is expensive. We took lunches into Disneyland . We usually bought a Dole whip ice cream though. When we drive through Yellowstone park we take lunches and find a nice shady place . I have to say fast food is tasting terrible these days. I use to like an occasional Big Mac. I can’t eat them anymore. McDonald’s meat tastes awful. It is paper thin, and a weird texture.

SR Miller's avatar

Right with you Swabbie with the knowledge that our options are so much greater: PBnJ is still on the menu as are sliced meat sandwiches (esp if I’m traveling with a cooler - a little hard when I’m touring in the 2-seat roadster), but now there’s hummus and pre-prepared veggies, canned spreadable meats in addition to tuna, and fruit choices beside apples and bananas. Almost forgot a staple: 4-8oz yogurt and the assortment of granolas.

I will say, I still have fond memories of road trips in the 60s and the stops at favorite "fast foods" on the drive from Miami or NoVa to upstate NY. One place we almost always stopped was the McDonalds in Harrisburg, PA: over the years we watched that eatery transform from a walk up order window (no bathroom, eat in car, a treat if we were good to help bring back the booty) to an enclosed order window - still no bathroom, and eventually one year we could go inside, all of us (6 by then) and sit at a table. Took my bride there in ‘88 and then the family in ‘13 - that last visit was a new iteration and they had photos of that McDonalds throughout the years, got to speak with the manager about my early years visiting - before he was even born 🤣.

It’s amazing how so much has changed in my life time in the food industry, so many options, and has stayed the same personally: a fast food meal is still a treat - last fast food meal locally was a sub a couple years ago and a burger&fries down in Phoenix in ‘19

Swabbie Robbie's avatar

Growing up through the 1950s and 60s, so much has changed. One of the 1st places my parents took me to was called the Port Silver Dinner in Milwaukee = a classic from the 1930s where the dinner was delivered on a train. it was still pretty original when I went there. Over the years it modernized and expanded until the only thing original was the name. My 1st car was a 1960 VW I bought in 1968, and I toured plenty in that. I also did some long distance trips on my 1970 Gitane 15 speed. Lots of good roadside little places to eat on those trips while seeing the countryside close up. Now it is shorter trips on my e-bike, but , I still have and sometimes ride my 1973 Holdsworth Record ten speed road bike bought after my Gitane was stolen.

That 103-year-old lady gets up every morning to tend her garden. I wonder what she's growing? Maybe potatoes, maybe some greens to feed the chickens that provide her eggs. Certainly not ground beef or bacon that we saw on her plate. (I have always wanted to produce in my garden all the parts of the BLT I crave in the summer, but those bits of bacon I plant have never yielded anything!) I'm not at all afraid of the good things in her diet, but I would add some salad and vegetables to avoid "boring." We have several varieties of lettuce in our sunporch, ready to put out in our container garden with a frost cover for the few cold nights left - now that Spring is here. I fully support what Trump is doing domestically but I’m having a really hard time getting behind this war in Iran. With all the neocons having said Iran is an imminent threat my whole adult life, Israel going rogue with their bombings, innocent children being targeted and a military hero and Gold star husband having his character attacked without any evidence of his wrongdoing. How do we not trust the FBI when it goes after Trump when he goes against the neocons but trust it when they go after Kent? I’m totally confused how people come to their conclusions. But I love my fellow Americans and honestly seek the truth.

SR Miller's avatar

When many of us were young, two oceans was a nice barrier. It took a slow flying bomber to drop the A-bombs on Japan. Today, hypersonic ballistic missiles make any threat an imminent threat. Islamist fundamentalist Iran is a particular peculiar threat in that the "fear" of MAD is not an issue for them as it appears worldwide destruction is their goal if it ushers in the 12th (13th?) imam. That the Islamacists have been using proxies to wage their war against Christians&Jews doesn’t lessen their guilt.

Keep in mind, we didn’t start this war, the war has been ongoing for 47 years. All that’s changed is instead of futile placation and bribery we now have an actual leader stating publicly what’s been known for half a century: we ARE at war because we’ve BEEN at war.

It's always hard to get the total truth from politicians, they're not going to tell us every little detail. But here is what I would say about Iran. I lived and worked there (teaching Iranians) for 2 years leading up to the Khomeini 1979 revolution, when we had to get out of Dodge quickly. After that I taught in a Saudi university for 8 years, and this was at a time when no foreigners could get in without a specific work permit and when the Saudi religious police wielded a lot of oppressive religious power over the ruling Saudi royal family. So I can fairly say I had a long window into viewing Islamic fanaticism at its worst, and I had a good bit of insight into Sunni compared to Shi'a Muslims at their worst, or near worst.

I loved Iran and the Iranians I had contact with, but I became very aware of a certain number of very fanatical, violent elements in the country that were driven by an extremist religious interpretation of Islam aligned with power-hungry people who have effectively used religious power to gain overwhelming political and economic power and control.

It's not just about the Iranian clergy that are the public face of the regime, but more frighteningly, it's about the shadowy IRGC military arm that over the decades have increased their control of much if not most of the entire civilian governmental structure including oil production, banking, commerce and so on. These are evil, criminal scumbags who have been stsealing Iran's oil wealth and squirreling it away much like Yassir Arafat did with the Palestinians. After Ayatollah Khamenei was recently eliminated, it was revealed that he had untold millions of dollars worth of real estate in London and elsewhere in the U.K. It is undoubtedly similar with many other high level Iranian officials.

Everyone in the West needs to know about the Iranian Shi'a Twelver beliefs (as compared to other Shi'a Muslim groups and the majority Sunni groups that disagree with the Twelver interpretation of Islam). They are a frightening group that are indisputably unhinged in their beliefs. How do you deal with people who have an apocalyptic view of the world and don't mind dying in their beliefs. Remember all the suicide bombers of years past? Mothers would be proud if their son or daughter blew themselves up for Islam. We can't imagine such a thing in the West. The bombers themselves thought their suicide was an instant ticket to heaven and their reward of 72 virgins. They would gladly take the rest of us along with them, and in fact, believe they will be rewarded for eliminating the non-believers.

At least in earlier decades in dealing with Russia and probably China as well, the idea of mutually assured destruction was a deterrent. No one on either side wanted to die. But it's not the same with the Iranian fanatics. They want to die for Allah. Dying is their reward. They are a cult of death. They would like to bring about the destruction of the entire world and indeed they believe that will come. And this is why Iran cannot be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon any further than they have or to continue as they have been. Iran's entire wealth is spent on weapons rather than on the people or the country's improvement. For decades I've watched naive Western politicians delude themselves that they can "negotiate" with such people. Look at where we have ended up after 47 years of "negotiation" and diplomacy. Do we want another few decades of this?

Joy Metcalf's avatar

Some of these were great, others not so much. NATO? What happened to the promise made by Clinton that NATO would not expand one inch more to the east? Yet it has expanded over 1000 miles so it's practically on Russia's doorstep. Iran? If we weren't there meddling, they wouldn't even look in our direction. When things got bad for the American Colonies, we rose up and claimed our liberty; others can do the same without our interference. We are in yet another regime-change war and yet we have the audacity to howl about foreign influences in our own government? What hypocrisy!

The images in that 103 y.o. woman's video didn't match the dialogue--red potatoes were yellow, bacon and toast on her breakfast plate. LOL! But I agree with her. I, too, even as a vegetarian, eat eggs, potatoes, and butter, and have drunk raw milk for my whole life. I couldn't agree more about ignoring "nutritionists"! I've found the best way to know if I'm eating healthy is to listen to my body. That said, genetics make a huge difference.

Can't hang the groundhog yet! Six weeks is the first day of spring. He didn't lie, he just didn't say the weather would be good! (But here in Maine, despite the low temperatures, the sun is shining and the ground is thawing.)

Carol Eckelkamp's avatar

Hi Joy, I think you follow the same people I do. I’ve seen your name before. And I agree with you. 👌

Noel's avatar

Just so there is a dissenting voice, I dont agree with your opinion about Iran, and strongly so. They absolutely would not have left us alone. Would they have attacked us if they had the element of surprise and a proxy to launch the drones, ABSOLUTELY. You dont make public calls for an end of Judaism and western civilization, build the world's second largest arsenal, and then sit on your hands. Those of you who just think this was a globalist/CIA regime change are not looking or thinking clearly even 1 or two years in the future. If Obama and Biden and likely Bush were financing Iran, there was a future reason. They are sinister, silent and patient. Look at our schools. A different subject, some say?

Carol j's avatar

I am in total agreement with you, Noel. Iran has been threatening us for far too long.. plus, they're ideologue fanatics dressed up in fake religion, meaning that they've created a religion to justify their actions. They are cruel beyond reason to their own people, so I can't imagine they'd ever be peaceful to any country, especially ours. The time to at least try to end their regime was now! Their people are apparently ready to take it on once we create some level of safety for them.

I am not entirely trusting of our own government & its motives, but I have to choose sides & I choose my extraordinary country that has Trump as president over any other country on the globe to move the needle in the direction of ridding the world of this constant bully.

Meanwhile, we'd all best get off our collective butts & vote in the upcoming Midterm, or I have fears of what our own country will devolve into. I've lived through Bush, Obama & Biden administrations & take from those experiences how evil America can become. I absolutely believe Trump loves this country, so even with too many nefarious actors still within our government, I salute him for whatever efforts he believes is best, even when I don't entirely comprehend his reasoning.

I can merely hope & pray to the God I have abundant faith in that everything will turn out as planned. We are living during historical & even Biblical times, so most things are beyond my control. But, I can vote, which I gratefully will. I do not want Trump's second half of his term to be dictated by our own brand of insane ideologues who would love nothing more than to create endless impeachments & havoc for Trump & his administration in attempts to derail the progress that has been made, & you can bet they will. As Trump said during his SOTU, they're all crazy!

My boys would agree with you. But we have civil conversations mostly about it. With so many lies and false reports out there. It’s hard.

Iran isn't in Miami, or Maine.

We are in their region, because it has oil.

What would the U.S. do if it were the other way around?

America has become a corporate empire, stealing land, resources, and lives.

And, is run by the Epst- class.

The propaganda is effective to make us "the good guys" and everyone else "subhuman."

Their call for an end of empires attacking them is understandable. What would you say if it was in your back yard?

Who are the aggressors, and who are defending themselves?

I've thought about it deeply.

Noel's avatar

Well, think deeper, if you are human and not a bot. No one wants war in their backyard, but ultimately, it seems the vast majority of Iranians will celebrate freedom for the first time in 5 decades. It's unfair that you wrench everyone into the "Epstein class" that is in the upper echelon of politics, or the wealthy, just to make an unrelated point.

You are mistaking America for the land that has been run by the globalists for the last 120 years, with small blocks of time exceptions. A very corrupt CIA, FBI. DOD, and the the Federal Reserve Bank have been responsible for much of what America has been blamed for, and they hijacked the Democrat Party and RINOs to do their bidding. We haven't voted in a fair election for decades and MOST OF US DONT VOTE. Your question, "what would America do if things were reversed" is not even a valid question because we are not a theocratic evil regime that is bent on destroying everyone who doesn't agree with us. The oil in the Middle East supports the world economy, they provide a product that we have always purchased. We aren't in Iran to protect only our interests in the region, we are acting decisively to end a regime that was bent on destroying the Western world. This is a surgical strike, as was Venezuela, as will probably be Cuba (but their people may rise up on their own). This is resetting the world stage, not just for America, but for the whole world. We could still have multiple terror attacks in the US, do you want to be disarmed? Before you fully make up your mind, let time show you that for once we have a President that is going to give the world a chance at peace, but we will first be strong, determined and free to defend America First.

Ana González's avatar

Right on‼️‼️✅️

Gail Benton's avatar

They don't want war in their back yard, either. They fight those that have infiltrated their region, and the U.S. would "terrorize" anyone that infiltrated here. Hell, it's terrorizing over there! One hundred seventy little girls on the first day! Then, bombed it again when people were rescuing them!

An Iranian spokesperson says that they're fighting the satanic Epst- class that not only rapes, torture, murder little girls, they bomb them.

Americans have been brainwashed into thinking that the U.S. empire isn't war mongering bastards. When will we develop our virtues? Wasn't it Jesus that said, "Blessed are the peacemakers?"

Iran's religion is their business. Not ours to pay for with more debt and young lives so the "upper echelon" can profit. And, there will be MANY lives lost.

There's 10 million Iranians, waiting.

Looks like they already captured 173 POWs of U.S. special forces. More already killed.

The puppet masters do run things in the U.S. as you say. I don't think for one second that we have 2 government competing (dems, republicans, RINOs). Both Parties are all doing the bidding of the government criminal cabal to control people around the world, and domestically.

And, are protecting each other (No one in jail, as campaigned on).

How soon people forget Operation Warp Speed (military), and the father of the vaccine that has killed and maimed millions.

No one outside of ourselves is going to save us. No one.

Speaking of "theocratic evil regime" (that are protecting pedovors from the Epst- files), there are believers that the State is divine (the system believes it, too-transhumanism).

Here's an important video to see how....

Statism: The Most Dangerous Religion.

Gail, I imagine you think of yourself as a peacemaker. But you don't strike me that way.

CMCM's avatar

Gail, you have bought into some Iranian propaganda. At that school, girls were not killed. It later came out that the school was situated at the edge of a property that almost otherwise an IRGC military facility. What you were not told is that prior to the supposed "attack" schools everywhere had been cancelled due to the bombing. If you examine the main photo sent out by Iran propaganda, you see a room set up like a classroom, yes, and it showed what looked like bomb damage. But no desks appeared broken, and interestingly there were totally clean, perfect condition "pictures" of various clerics that were obviously staged and placed deliberately into the scene, no sign of blood anywhere.

If you believe we should put our head in the sand and not meddle in Iran at this point, you are very naive and uninformed. If you believe nothing would ever happen here in the U.S. as long as we mind our own business and just think "peace", you are very wrong. The world is a bad place with a lot of very bad players. Right now, the vicious regime controlling the Iranian people is as bad as it gets. There comes a point where the sane part of the world can no longer look the other way and pretend this regime's atrocities are not happening.

OMG! Good ones today!

I had a recollection from childhood about restrooms. On a trip with parents in the late fifties on a two lane highway somewhere in Alabama wilderness. A gas station appeared. It was rough but you know, when you gotta go, you... - So dad pumps gas and I get the restroom key - remember those on the large paddle? I open the door to a tiled closet. The first thing I noticed was the aroma of a mixture of cleaning fluid and urine.

The second thing I noticed was the sign over the toilet:

If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down.

Some traumas just stay with you for centuries.

Patricia's avatar

I remember the signs: If it’s yellow let it mellow; If it’s brown, flush it down. I seem to recall that was happening in the 1970’s? I don’t remember if this was a “don’t waste water campaign”, or what was happening back then. But, now in our county, the county has posted water restrictions in the city of Elizabeth, CO, since we are officially in drought conditions. I believe county commissioners, & greedy developers, have gone too far allowing high-density, cracker-box homes to be built!

Meemanator's avatar

If I had to guess it was either water problem or septic. And yes, greedy deveolopers and politicians and the snakes who get themselves in positions of power are not the least bit interested in long term consequences. Always follow the money.

Patricia's avatar

Absolutely follow the money! Rumor has it there are a few “insiders” within our community that “allegedly” get money under the table, from a specific developer- this one developer has two county commissioners that always approve high-density development here. Citizens keep fighting against these communities, but it’s always a losing battle for those- me included here- that keep fighting against development in a small county.

Meemanator's avatar

No different here in North Georgia. We also have ginormous concrete windowless corporate warehouse complexes that take over what was pristine pastures. They look like prisons. Citizens complain but to no avail. Only money has a voice nowadays.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

Yeah. Texas is also in an oversold water induced draught. Had a new house next door connected virtually same day imposed stage 4 restrictions.

53rd Chapter's avatar

It wasn't just Bubbas that had the problem, Meem. It was also a PhD problem at UT-Austin,, where unflushed urinals were the hallmarks of an enlightened society. Odor was a function of the intensity of the color. I'm sure the rationale was some sort of environmental gobbledygook, but Austin had plenty of water at the time.

Meemanator's avatar

So we conclude civilization rises and falls, rises and falls. In the middle ages folks threw their waste out the window on folks walking by. Sanitation protocols increased health and life protocols. Now we have homeless folks pooping on the sidewalk - full circle me thinks.

53rd Chapter's avatar

I remember an outhouse being dug when I was a kid. Might be good to know if things really go south: Hole, maybe 3' x 3' x 6' deep. Sympathy if rocky, this one just dirt and tree roots. Line walls w/ 2x12-8 vertical cedar, or now, maybe pressure treated pine. Don't remember the edge detail for the structure, but I might cantilever the cedar a bit to provide a tie-in to the walls. Vent pipe required from underneath to out the roof, located at an inside rear corner. Door must have a crescent, where it belongs for symbolic religious overtones.

Where are you in Georgia? We did a project in Rome a few years back. Nice area.

Meemanator's avatar

We are in the Lake Lanier area. Still kinda rural but big warehouses and condo communities are popping up. We bought 14 acres with a 2 acre pond 19 years ago so we have a well and are on septic. We don't have animals, except fish and deer, but we do have a garden and I have a freeze dryer. We aren't prepared to be off grid for long but we sure can survive better than folks in a tight condo.

53rd Chapter's avatar

I see your problem. Used to be country but now NE Atlanta. Same thing happened in Austin. We got out and haven't looked back. Now, an hour from Dallas and we don't get over there much. Lots of green in between.

Meemanator's avatar

I have nieces who fled Austin because of all the techies who fled the states they ruined with their liberal views. Stupid is doing the same thing over expecting different results.

Watched that AI 103 year old lady and I hate the waiting myself. I’m retired and waiting for my wife to call it which is very difficult because it has my life on hold. I’m being called selfish and impatient over this and I maybe am but I don’t want what is planned to not happen. It’s true none of us know if tomorrow ever comes. When we close our eyes each night tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. I’m at a tough point here in my life right now and her time frame is making me wait and my life feels on hold. I of course want to do what we have planned together but like Tom Petty said. The waiting is the hardest part. It sure ain’t easy. Happy Friday all. Needed that.

One activity that you may enjoy in the meantime is being a tutor for the Literacy Volunteers of America. I did this for a couple of years & tutored English As A Second Language as well as Basic Adult English. Not sure where you live, but there is likely a chapter (or a similar organization) in your area. Most libraries know of a local chapter. It was very rewarding & I got very creative with my lesson plans. You may no longer feel as if you are waiting for some future trip, but for the next opportunity to meet with your student. Just an idea....

Appreciate the advice but I have plenty to keep me busy. I never said I was bored. It’s just the time to wait that is annoying me.

Pa does not have personal property tax and does not tax retirement income.

beccar1954's avatar

I moved from New Jersey to Virginia, out of the frying pan and into the fire. However, my property taxes are only $800 per year instead of $5000 for the house I used to live in, and many people there pay $10-$20K. At least I can afford to retire here. Republicans here are fighting back. People have to vote no on the illegal gerrymandering the Dems are trying to implement. If they succeed, this will become a one-party state like California.

GR B's avatar

Interesting times we are living in nowadays. Trying to determine which state is better than Virginia in terms of taxes and freedoms; yet, allows us to be a one day drive (8 hours or so) from MA, which is where son and grandchildren live. Everything north on the east coast is not an improvement. The dilemma continues with the redistricting vote by 21 April having the potential to make it much worse if it's passed . . .

Michael Williams's avatar

PA does not tax retirement income, which is a plus.

Renata Parkes's avatar

Pennsylvania may well be worse.

Totally respect Joe Kent as decorated veteran with 11 combat deployments.

What I don't get AT ALL is his notion that Iran poses no imminent threat. Iran's been widely regarded as the world's biggest state-level supporter of terrorist groups for nearly half a century, since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Isn't that considered "imminent"?

Does "imminent" cover their latest killing spree of 10's of 1000's of their own people for daring to protest in January?

How many Iranian-sponsored terror cells are in the US? It's imminent that the FBI flush them out.

Sorry Joe. I've seen the results of terrorism first-hand, just like you. But my view is different: These bastards are demonic and their evil is irreversible.

Ergo, there's only one solution. Cut the head off the dragon.

I think of all the interventions that "the good guys" have done throughout the world.

Regime change to put in their puppets,

arming rebels,

stealing resources,

working for the global cabal (by shredding the U.S. Constitution that puts the government in a box),

making it legal to propagandize their own people (and people believing that others are doing things that just may not be true. Because now, the government is telling the truth?).

But, when some other country is defending themselves against aggression, THEY are the "eminent threat?"

The Islamic Revolution was kicking one of those American puppets out of their country.

How dare they

J.M. Calabrese's avatar

Gail, I agree with most of what you wrote regarding prior administrations/CIA and regime changes. I have never been a fan of that nonsense for the reasons you outlined.

Most recently, Iraq was a boondoggle (unless you were Dick Cheney) and Afghanistan was even worse. I support war only when we or one of our dearest allies is directly threatened.

That said, I've seen enough people get blown up, beheaded, stabbed, shot, raped, and otherwise brutalized by these fanatical scumbags. And Iran finances them so that none of them have to get a real job - their only "job" is to terrorize their way to a global caliphate.

And the mass murder of protesters continues. Today's New York Post's cover story is dominated by the word BUTCHERS, slamming Iran's regime over public executions, including 19-year-old wrestler Saleh Mohammadi and two other protesters arrested in January.

These savages must be eliminated.

Gail Benton's avatar

Careful of the war propaganda

J.M. Calabrese's avatar

What "propaganda"? Did you actually read and ponder my reply? This isn't about politics, it's about terrorists killing innocents. I don't own a TV. I read. A lot from dozens of sources, not echo chambers.

On top of that I have first-hand experience dealing with the aftermath of a terrorist attack. If you're not utterly floored by what these animals have been getting away with, then I don't know what to tell you.

Gail Benton's avatar

Who invaded their region?

Who slaughtered 170 little girls in a first strike?

Then, struck again to slaughter those that were rescuing them?

The propaganda would have people believing "we are the good guys" while the "other side" are "animals"

You do see what's in the Epst- files? Those in positions of force in the U.S. are protecting them.

Sad to hear of your experience with such barbarianism.

Those are my favourite months too, but it will soon be down hill and by mid-May the temperature here will be very close to 100+F and climbing, it will not let up then until the back end of September.

Strangely enough, I do believe you have the same sky do you not? In the summer all you will see for months on end is an azure blue sky, nothing else, no clouds, nothing. As for the sea, I admit it is nice to see, to pun a phrase, but I live in the centre of the island, I am housebound and have no transport. When my life was easier though and we had a car, we rarely went - too busy and way too many tourists.
