I remember when I was a kid my parents helped me open a passbook savings account. Kids from all walks of life love to see an account that has their name on it, a balance, and a mind to keep track of it to watch it grow. I loved making deposits, it made me set goals to save. My son had homework last night for 8th grade. He had to correct run-on sentences with proper punctuation or state that the sentence was correctly written. Well, there was a sentence about hurricanes and the Gulf of Mexico. The sentence was structured correctly however he drew a line through "Mexico" and wrote "America." It made us both smile and laugh. I shall follow up to see what his teacher has to say about it. 😊
