I've never seen a thorough study on environmental costs of EV production.
From the equipment to mine rare earth minerals, costs for processing, costs for battery disposal, etc.
There must not an environmental advantage for EV's.... otherwise we'd have studies proving that EV's "save" the environment.
Climate change; The Club of Rome targeted fear porn of a new ice age in the 60's. Then they realized, the climate will warm naturally... coming out of an ice age from ~12,000 years ago - when Chicago had a mile of ice on top of it. In a 500 million year study, we're still in a cool period. The planet is greening by 20-30% v 40 years ago. CO2 is a life builder for Ag/nature. Why the hell does anyone take the climate ho's seriously.
Getting very sick and tired of the continued psyops. The WEF influence has buried the EU. Rather refreshing to see admin Trump flip the middle finger to the WHO, scaring the U.N. with a potential withdrawal of U.S. financial support for the U.N.
About 12 years ago there was a fuel efficiency guide published in Canada and the winner was a 2 cylinder gasoline car with the lowest cradle to grave carbon footprint. It beat out electric cars because at the time the heavy battery components had to circle the globe 1.5 times from mine to factory to in car placement to showroom. This meant burning a lot of diesel to move these heavy components. The balance has shifted now with Hybrids and electric vehicles winning the CO2 battle as EV manufacturing efficiency has improved and they are the most carbon efficient. I stilil won't buy an EV though as I can drive up to 1400 kms in a 24 hour period and don't want to be like the guy I talked to at a charging station waiting 1.5 hrs for his car to be charged or the guy who Tesla locked out of his car because he missed a maintenance visit.
Excellent points.... but; What CO2 battle? The side that's been greening the planet by ~25% vs 40 yrs ago? Hope CO2 wins that one.
I do have an interest in Hybrids.... but in no hurry to buy.
If you had/have links to the study conclusions, that would come in handy.
Amazing how the EU and likely Canada, jumped all over this CO2 "problem". The plants seem to like it, but there's money to be made for the pushers of new technologies.
We need to get out of the UN entirely and stop sending money to foreign countries. Our Constitution states that taxpayer monies were not to go to foreign countries...Taxpayer monies were to be used for : Domestic Concerns...Infrastructure ....and Military to protect Americans. We have so many needs here in the United States and our representatives in Congress don't seem to know the Constitution, when they have taken an oath to uphold it.
Over the last 50+ years, the US has surrendered much of its manufacturing sector, intellectual property, and economic advantage to an ideological enemy. It's too stupid to be stupid. And I imagine that the CCP would have always been on the lookout for those on the inside who will undermine to advance their own personal self interest. The elite captains of industry have told us we will own nothing, and be happy, which sounds a lot like Marx's abolition of property, right? It seems the Chinese figured out that capitalists are readily seduced by the prospect of low labor costs and higher profit margins, and in that respect they showed themselves to be more clever than Marx.
Searching for background on the globalist paradigm, we can find some, not surprisingly, from our domestic intel agencies.
From Adam LeBor’s “Tower of Basil,” a history of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS):
“There could be no return to the prewar system of nation-states, Dulles wrote in 1941: ‘We should seek the political reorganization of continental Europe as a federated commonwealth. There must be a large measure of local self-government along ethnic lines. This can be assured through federal principles, which in this respect are very flexible. But the reestablishment of some twenty-five wholly independent sovereign states in Europe would be political folly.’
“National sovereignty led inevitably to war, Dulles argued in 1942. ‘The fact of the matter is that economic unity in Europe has primarily been held back by a small group of self-seeking politicians in every nation… Because a lot of politicians want to hold on to the trappings of sovereignty, are we to allow a condition to persist which makes recurrent war inevitable and which now, apparently, also inevitably involves our being drawn into such wars?’”
Only it appears that, in the time since Dulles, “local self-government along ethnic lines” has been replaced by mass illegal immigration as a catalyst for the erasure of distinct nations.
Sometimes environmental compliance can be capitalistic. My maternal grandfather was an operating engineer at a smelting facility in San Francisco’s East Bay area many decades ago. The company received complaints and govt scrutiny because of the sulphur emitted in its “stacks”, and figured out a way to precipitate it with an electrical grid. The many rail cars of sulphur became a profitable side product sold to other industrial users. No credits, just sales of a side product of their main business.
This is kind of like the history of fluoride in water- true story - it was a waste product that they didn't know what to do with. Then someone came up with the brilliant idea of adding it to water to prevent cavities... and the rest is history.
"Environmental organizations supplied the public justification, governments established the regulatory framework, and corporations positioned to benefit helped promote the system. Their motivations were not necessarily identical, but their economic and political objectives frequently aligned."
-Yes, I see this in NY at the state and town level. 'Color my Town Green' groups loudly advocate for supposed green projects like covering farm fields with solar panels. The state tells us that they are heroically leading the fight for climate change (CLCPA Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act). The solar installers are there to cash in on the tax payer subsidized projects. I'm left with eye sores instead of fields, increased taxes and some of the most expensive energy in the country.
THANK Dr.s Malone you for this report, so the racket can be clearly known.
re: your current ARTWORK style that headlines and introduces your indispensable journalism.
Well -- not really feeling it. Aesthetically similar to what I notice popping up elsewhere more and more replacing the independent, individualized, creative and somewhat muted expressions...?

what is your self-evaluation now a few weeks in? Thank you. Grateful for all your service to the nature of our being, and supporting you and your journalism all along the way. pat
Is there absolutely nothing that gets promoted (from our regulators and government) as "good for the environment, good for our health, good for the economy" that isn't wrapped up in layers of deceit and hidden so well that it takes an investigation worthy of a Pulitzer prize? Isn’t this one issue that’s on the ballot today? Well it’s finally arrived!Today’s the day! Do we want to be told what type of vehicle we drive, or do we want to choose what we drive? Do we want to be told what temperature we set our thermostat at, or do we want that choice? Will we contain China or enable China? And for that matter will we continue to have closed borders, or will the socialists again open the gates wide? Will we be a net deporter of illegal immigrants, or will the invasion of millions again flood into our country? Will we continue to stop drug cartels from killing our kids or will the socialist again make profit off of dead American kids. Will we keep the lowest crime rate in American history, or will we plummet the country into burning cities again? Will we continue to crack down on tens of billions in fraud, or will we accelerate it
and condone it? Will we hand out trillions in benefits to illegals, or will we follow the law and make people work for what they get? Will we keep our medical freedom or will we elect communists that force dangerous experimental chemical injections into our arms and the arms of our kids? Will we continue to bring trillions of dollars in manufacturing back to the United States or will we send our jobs overseas so solons can make their cut? Will we fight to stay a free republic or will we be thrust into a divisive civil war by these communist that wish to destroy America? Will America become France, guided into the dark by communist traitor democrats? Nothing in life is perfect, we will never get everything we want, but Please VOTE and VOTE REPUBLICAN! America’s future hangs in the balance.
Keep reminding that fdr had some 100 soviet agents in his administration and it was the realization of that that led to passage of a law making membership in the communist party a fed crime...a law still on the books but enforcement blocked by progressive judges. So today we have a slew of communists on fed and state ballots. Appears survival instinct is just about dead here
As if CO2 is a pollutant! Its plant food. We have all benefited from our added CO2 through increased crop yields. Also, the earth is greening up, especially the south Sahara, as plants require less water with higher CO2.
Carbon credits are based on pseudo science. Then came Covid, and health policies based on its pseudo science. Both hurt the ordinary folks, and enriched the wealthy.
