It’s amazing how just the idea of America threatens murderous dictatorships to the core. Whenever there’s an uprising in these tyrannical states you may see American flags. Even to this day, even when I myself see the American flag at an anti communist rally I feel a sense of liberty and freedom somewhat greater than I know the reality of what America is today. Foreigners from all around the world would do anything to live here while many Americans are completely ungrateful for what they have been handed.

God I wish we could really get back to the founding principles, and the founding ideas of individual freedom and real liberty. I want that feeling of the idea of America when I see our flag at rallies in places like Iran, as when I see our flag here at home.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

To do that have,to return to our founding culture which has been sold to the highest bidders.

Science is Political 2.0's avatar

do you really believe that? I am so disgusted w/ some of the people on both UTUBE, Substack and the internet.. apparently if a person can turn on a computer, use a mouse and use A.I.. they now are EDUCATED.. yeah right. I am just glad I that I am at the end of my life span.. because I am beyond tired of hearing gross stupidity. I don't mean you. I like you and respect your opinion..

Let me enlarge on that. Our Founders came here disgusted with dissolute europe and sought to create something better. They embraced a Judeo-Christian moral code and wrote our Constitution around that base. Unfortunately they failed to protect it from what increasingly appears to be the default human condition...apathy. That enables those with no scruples and driven by greed to steal this republic right out from under our noses by selling out to cultural attitudes anthetical to our founding. And here we are.

Exactly. The Stolen Ground Ytube video (at 16mins) explains this same thing, in S.Africa's PIE Act. Intro'd in 1998, for a good "cause" but it has morphed into a quite different end.

In the USA, ADU's, Accessory dwelling units, are getting us onto our own property rights, slippery slope - AND why we see them happening, almost exclusively, in Lefty states. I predicted this happening in CO, it's why I sold my home there, 7 yrs ago. I was correct - the Far Left Governor Polis, has said many times, as recent as Jan 2026, he will jump over local laws to accomplish his goals. Link -7 new laws he insisting are obeyed, by his Executive Order! - https://www.coloradopolitics.com/2025/05/16/gov-jared-polis-to-local-governments-comply-with-housing-laws-or-lose-funding-1f91d6e7-80bf-41f8-95a5-1a4b9a7b6749/

It is a RISK, living in a Lefty state on so many levels!

Franck Zanu of ‪@FranckZanu‬ joins the State of the Nation for one of the most explosive and thought-provoking conversations we’ve had all year.

Zanu — whose viral insights on Africa, culture, development and geopolitics have sparked global debate — confronts the ideas many leaders avoid:

• Why African countries continue to struggle economically

• What “culture” really means for development

• Why corruption isn’t the true root cause

• How colonialism is misunderstood

• Why South Africa’s political structure is destined for conflict

• The controversial “tribal nation” model he believes could save the continent

• And why Western countries secretly want Africa to succeed.

James, Funny, I just had a dream of an old 5 yr. relationship with an Iranian. I went to his citizenship process and learned so much about Persia. The poetry he read to me in Farsi, the wonderful rice / Tahdig, his open- hearted mother.

I have many Persian friends.. for whom I pray.. and many of them live in Northern Va. and incognito for good reason.

Like. That freedom feeling is like warmth and comfort to your soul. It feels so right, because it comes from God, Who has no wrong within Him. When our spirit is aligned with His loving nature, we are at peace. Seeing our flag reminds us of our founding history that was built upon the phrase, “God and Country” that motivated our original patriots. It is that same spirit that you appreciate James, along with most of us on this forum, thank you Lord.

American ideals have always been fragile. They ignored the specter of global crime groups - which at the time seemed rather small - and those groups have continued to haunt the planet ever since. Today I see the influence of these groups as the top problem on Earth, as technology has helped them to grow more powerful. The only possible way out of this would involve a major educational campaign. It has started but is at best ten times smaller than it needs to be to have the desired impact.

I was never so proud of Trump as I was that day of their oval office visit. Most white world leaders these days are so terrified of being labeled racist that they sell their souls and their countries just to appear to be non-racist. Trump is not racist and not ashamed of being white.

First I’d send a Marines battalion to protect that US agency. Maybe stick an aircraft carrier off the coast. I think the message would be crystal clear with that.

I saw an investigative journalist on Tucker who followed how illegals from Africa get into Europe. It’s all corrupt and Europe has no plan to stop it. Money comes from Europe to make sure it doesn’t stop. Those heading to France are all Muslim men and they get money once they arrive until they get papers to work. This isn’t the exact same thing I just figured I’d mention it. The guy filmed the whole thing and it is shocking. When apartheid fell and Mandela was at the helm I really thought South Africa had a chance to become the diamond of Africa and hoped it would spread through the country. That obviously hasn’t happened. Soros having a hand here which of course he’s involved. How a white guy funds this country just shows he wants unrest and that’s all. He has no real plan to help with his money. He’s a criminal and should be brought to justice under a RICO charge. Get his kids too. His hands are all over Minnesota too. I’m not seeing anything that leads me to believe this is going to end anytime soon either. I know I’m preparing for action if it’s ever called for. I don’t want it or wish for it but the decent law abiding regular people are going to have to be the ones who eventually save this country because it’s obvious our leaders have no interest in doing it. Same for our media. The first thing I would do though? Kill social media.

Fred Ickenham's avatar

Good comment except for your advocacy of censorship in your last line, IMO.

James Schwartz's avatar

It’s not censorship I’m thinking about here. I remember before we had social media and ever since it began the downfall of society has happened. I do see your point though. I’m not trying to censor anyone.

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

I agree.

Censoring. I don't believe killing ALL of some platform can be called that. What if you had said kill all Satanic cults? Gee, that sounds like censoring but it is simply rational thought. If you believe strongly that the world is corrupted by Satan(few rational humans would doubt this.) disintegration of a Satanic movement makes all the sense in the world. Why did the US, a number of times, attempt to do so with the Ku Klux Klan? It is just too obvious.

Social media. Is there ANY function it has to further society, well yes. I think of Facebook(hate it, but. . .) and realize, though I do not "do" it others, millions, use it to communicate GOOD things. On the other hand millions use it for graft, subverting and offending others, censoring, and outright EVIL. It's a matter of throwing the good out with the bad.

This is another Solomon's dilemma.

James Schwartz's avatar

Killing all social media isn’t censorship IMO. Why does it need to exist In the first place? I don’t use any of them and don’t consider it self censoring. I consider it the downfall of society.

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

yeah, James. There is this thing. . . called a telephone. ya' dial a number on it and somebody you know answers in your earpiece. That is all the social crapp I need!

LoverOfHills's avatar

My recent research on cellphones (mine died) - it seems flip phones, and small phones, those that make using social sites, too easily, are a growing trend.

Jennifer Jones's avatar

I tend to agree with you. Social media isn't worth it.

Jennifer Jones's avatar

I saw that on Tucker, too. I thank God, though, that at least I'm not in the large cities of France, Germany, and the UK.

Jane Tracy's avatar

I watched that same Tucker’s episode and was really enlightened by how all of this Muslim immigration happens and is supported by the UN, the EU and so called’NGOs’. Many of these people from Africa are just out and out violent and have no care for a human life! Thus the world has to reap what it sows!

About 5 years ago, my son’s girlfriend had her parents come visit for a month. They live in South Africa near Pretoria and are white farmers, who have owned their own land for years and years. They told the stories about how the blacks just go to a farm and rape, plunder, kill the white owners. They at times steal the land but also just move on to the next one. I am not a prejudiced person at all but I absolutely could understand why they are.

James Schwartz's avatar

Why the world is allowing chaos to flourish and punishing those that follow the rules and want to live their lives confounds me.

The Day of the Vow reminds me of Old Testament scripture, especially regarding King David and King Solomon. Both prayed to God regarding guidance and protection of their people, and both were rewarded in divine ways. Likewise, states and nations suffer when they turn away from God and ignore His precepts and commandments. If you look at the last three thousand years of history through a biblical lens, then this pattern becomes painfully obvious. Historical forces that are attributed to man are often the result of God's Divine Authorship of history. People like to blame all sorts of scapegoats for the hate, division and lies which are rampant in the world today, especially compared with 40 years ago. But if you truly understand scripture, then you realize it is man's collective sin and lack of faith in God which is responsible for the supernatural darkness that is enveloping the world.

I have returned repeatedly over the last dozen years to read Jorge Castaneda's biography of Che Guevara. Controversial, I know. I despise marxist ideology, yet find his story fascinating. To this day, he is revered as a demi-god in Cuba (even though he was Argentine by birth). The movie industry also gave accounts of his life in "The Motorcycle Diaries," and "Che," Parts 1 & 2.

Post-Cuban Revolution, he settled in as a high-level bureaucrat, even shaving his beard and mustache and wearing a tie for the cameras for a time. But he grew bored and restless, and left his family there to cultivate the revolution around the world. I find a picture of him, warmly embraced by Ahmed Ben Bella, fresh off the success of expelling the French from Algeria in 1962. He spent a year or so in the Congo circa 1965, fighting with insurgents there (unsuccessfully). From there he made a discreet stop in Cuba before continuing on to Bolivia, where he and his fellow insurgents were hunted down and wiped out in 1967.

From the outside, I see a revolution successfully achieved in SA. The revolution has since moved on to places of greater interest in the modern narrative, in a ceaseless quest to spread its cornucopia of benefits ubiquitously.

In retrospect, I wonder what in the world I was thinking when I had aspirations to tickle the lion's belly. Fortunately, I was intercepted by a pack of concerned hyenas, who sat me down and counseled me that my attempt was ill-advised. I explained to them my thinking; they all had a good laugh. They also said ixnay on dung-kicking and bear-poking. They get a bad rap, but I credit them with my continued existence.

WOW. actually I didn't get to read that.. I skimmed it and South Africa has been a long standing "interest" to everyone.. who pays attention to world affairs.. aka use of word of Apartheid to not apropos situations. I am watching the super pathetic lying Democrats attempting to trap Marco Rubio.. about the Venezuelan situation: Marco Rubio since he has worked on this Venezuelan situation and speaks Spanish fluently.. could be his first language and is Cuban and brilliant it is painful for me to hear the "Democrats" ask the same question over and over and over again.. why didn't Trump and the State Dept inform/ask for Congressional "oversight" translate for permission to pick up Maduro. I am so glad I am not there. THE DEMOCRATS LEAK LIKE RUNNING TOILET.. never stop leaking. anyway. I also am still snowed in and I am still sick,, need my antibiotics.

Great article will be back, yeah. INDIANA JONES.. saw it many times.. :) better than reality !

This surely chronicles a devastating state of affairs for So Africa. As it looks very grim for the whites, one wonders why their departure seems slow and in smaller numbers.

In the past viewed books chronicaling events at an elephant/rhino refuge operated by a British woman in Africa. I wonder about her safety and efforts at Thula Thula.

My impression of our current and ongoing focus suggests to me that, mineral sources not withstanding, we likely will not become much involved. It does offer a dire picture of the evils that develop from a failure to timely address corruption.

It's hard not to wonder what the answer is to the backwards and upside down twists and turns of the demented logic. The enemy becomes the savior and the hero becomes the hated. Without a strong and pure knowing of the inside compass of humanity, it is easy to misunderstand the optics. Simply aligning to one position as truth, no longer is that simple. I see this as a test of character. Do not be fooled, this is not a simple equation.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

I don't, seems,to me folks tend to make issues like this more seem more complicated than they really are by ascribing to elements of the issue values they really lack.

Ironically discrimination is ubiquitous and can never not exist. Human race is only a small component of discrimination. Taste, aroma, colors, activities, sports, whatever; all involve discrimination. If one chooses a life partner, all other potentials for that position have been discriminated against. Using discrimination to end discrimination is folly, a fool's errand, a tail chase. In the U.S.A. we have created MWBE, DEI, BLM, LGBTQ+, "Native" American, other nationality, immigration status, etc. to what end ? Consolidate all of the associated departments, compliance offices, rules and other resources expended in the effort to identify the infinite manifestations of minority status and subsequently end discrimination against those statuses and you see the cost is not only staggering, but it is a complete waste. All of that effort and those resources and discrimination remains. In South Africa the latest organized discrimination is against Caucasians. In the U.S.A. organized discrimination is used to support any and all minority statuses with one exception; Caucasian, heterosexual males. It would be much more cost effective to simply deny Caucasian heterosexual males anything and everything. Then there will be no more discrimination; right ?
