Darya Shipilova appears to be a tragic case of a worker at a biological research facility who might have not received appropriate preventative care commensurate with her employment. My question is why this obscure incident has received so much attention in the Western media. Fear Porn prior to the US Mid-term elections?
Why has this become global news? If antibiotics are the solution, case closed. If the push is to rationalize and perpetuate bio warfare efforts, then it is another matter. Creating GOF pathogens and then creating a antidote seems to be driving this continued push to have RNA injections as the solution. The negative health impact of the RNA injections for the Covid con continues to be revealed and the march towards oblivion continues. I will say it again: Over 30,000 Americans die of C-Diff each year and it does not get a foot note in the medical world or in the public media.
“Antibiotics, case closed” may be part of the problem. Antibiotics transformed medicine, but their massive use also helped create today’s AMR crisis.
Before the antibiotic era, bacterial vaccines and other immune-based preparations were used not only preventively, but also therapeutically — during illness itself. Today, we tend to think of vaccines almost entirely as prevention. An entire class of those technologies has largely disappeared from medical memory.
Maybe the mistake was not choosing antibiotics. Maybe it was letting other tools disappear because the pill was simpler and more convenient.
What struck me as interesting is that the vaccine isn't a sure fire protection. It seems like none of them are. The programming is so strong about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines that you are the only one I have read to give any data about just that! More intriguing news to come, I am sure.
The ground squirrel population in N. Mex. were a reservoir for plague when I worked there in '65. Two airmen got infected by fleas from rabbits they had shot.
Thank you Jill and Robert for this report. I wish the Marmot black market trade could be stopped. And, to add to this frustration, are the Conservation Initiatives (with UN sanction, I might add) such as those in Hustai Mongolia's National Park, the Steppe Wildlife of Mongolia, and the Shared Earth Foundation that are purposefully re-introducing marmots back into the border areas of Mongolia and Russia for stupid reasons.
Regarding the possible, role of birds acting as vectors we were told back in the day that their hi temperature made infection by human pathogens less likely hence having to develop their own TB and flu strains
Dr. Malone, isn’t the bigger story here that Russia preserved an entire plague-response capability, not just an old vaccine? The U.S. had its own licensed plague vaccine until 1999, while Russia and China kept older live-vaccine technologies in use. Do we sometimes assume too quickly that when an older technology disappears, science, regulators, and the market must have replaced it with something better?
Now a plague vaccine that does not work? What else can you assume, if she was supposedly vaccinated? And should it have been LIVE vaccine? I question it, but am too ignorant on this topic to analyze it properly. Sounds like Siberia has more than extreme climate to kill residents of the area.
This Spring I read where they found the plague in I believe is said dead squirrel. The article stated to beware of your domestic animals getting a hold of a dead varmint. The article said they have found this disease before.
Thank you for continuing to investigate, analyse and share your findings, conclusions and recommendations!
One is impressed with the size of the area at risk and ongoing efforts to monitor that risk. It seems that locally the monitoring is put to beneficial use. The information you've gleaned doesn't offer reporting of any major incidents of disease (as compared to the current ebola fiasco for example).
Your review implies (to me), Russia surely has the answers to the detail you note as lacking. So far I don't have an impression that Russia appears on the edge of visiting a Wuhan style attack on us or the world or even bumble into such an accidental event.
Beyond the particulars you identify, a topic of general interest is why our various nations are so reticent about sharing (noting this is also a major issue within the US), and ways to effectively deal with these issues going forward.
Will be very interested as to how these matters are coming along from your perspectives. The ET reporting seemed acceptable. The msm seemed to tip toward continuing to promote worry.

Thanks for this new (to me) understanding of the Plague.
Thanks Drs for this additional update. It seems like the media has gone crazy again and reading your Substack daily keeps me sane!

We have a few plague cases yearly in the US I am aware. Antibiotics treat it well, unless I am mistaken. Glad I am not allergic to any antibiotics. 😊

A very good question

I very much appreciate this article. Thank you Dr. Malone for your research, and giving us this extensive information.

Your sharings are hughly appreciated .
Thank you Dr. Malone for educating us so patiently.
