My youngest nephew was born 3 months premature in 2008, and spent months in the NICU of our local children's hospital. His parents had two other children, and the commitments that accompany. My wife and I have no children, and she, overwhelmed with grief, went to the hospital every day to watch over him. In those first days, I sympathized with her grief, but thought of the situation as just a sad fact of life.
Well, a week or so in, I started going to the NICU with her. And something profound happened to me. I saw that baby struggle with breath, a distended belly, red skin, heart issues, retinal issues, the possibility of brain damage, and a hovering question of whether he'd survive. Wires and tubes and monitors and beeps and machines all around him. And next thing I know, there was nothing more important to me in life than seeing him make it.
To this day, we consider ourselves a second set of parents for him. He sends me Father's Day wishes every year, and Saturday has been his day at our house for many years now, if his schedule permits.
He starts university today. I couldn't be prouder of him.
"After 24 weeks, they can deliver the baby, and that is the safest way to protect the mom. If she doesn’t want the baby, she can always give it up for adoption. You must have a lot of hate in you to do this. This isn’t about our president or women’s rights. This is about people trying to kill children."
Very apt.
And these same people will say with a straight face that it's "normal and necessary" to surgically and chemically mutilate people to "make them the opposite 'gender.'"
At one time not long ago if someone messed around with a child or harmed a woman, from either political party it was strongly looked down on. Long jail sentences would be imposed on the perpetrator. Today however we have a whole political party that has become godless. Killing a baby with experimental chemical injections seems to be normal everyday life in almost every blue state. Maura Healy, Massachusetts governor, signed a bill the other day allowing abortions to take place right up to the day of birth. She was surrounded by women cheering her on, tears of joy in their eyes. Whether you are pro life or pro choice how can people be so joyful by taking part in the horrific murder of our most innocent and vulnerable gifts given to us by God?
I had reread the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. What we are doing to unborn babies, viable babies that could survive, mothers and women in general is worse in my opinion than the story in Genesis.
I honestly could understand how fire and sulfur could reign down from the heavens, destroying this sinful godless place.
I understand people are given free will, and that there are things in this world that I may despise but certainly have no control over, but how can people be so joyful about murdering the unborn. It’s hard to take in how godless communism and evil has infiltrated this country, America.
RobMc: You said, "I imagine God looking down from Heaven, shaking His head and saying, “Okay, enough. We’re done here.” Amen, sir. I can do nothing but cry for the babies being killed, and for the souls of those who allow it to happen. How much farther can a culture fall before we all suffer the consequences?
Yes, and as it turns out, this was the "last straw" so to speak for ancient Israel (see Psalm 106 all, but for this matter, see verses 35-43, where they sacrificed their children to the gentile god, Molech), but there is always hope when we repent and ask forgiveness from the LORD as the remaining verses promise and as we have seen through the centuries.
Yes, it would be a very good first step for the Pope to excommunicate the Governor, because it is a statement that she has crossed the most critical line of our humanity and disobeyed God's commandment of "thou shalt not murder." It would, or should, be a wake up call to her and others that these actions have very, very serious consequences for them personally, and for the state that voted this in.
2 Chronicles 7:14 is as true today as it was when it was first declared.
Exactly. His graces are given and I think of it like an umbrella of protection over our country and with every abortion holes get poked in the umbrella. Why would we expect to be blessed when as Saint Mother Theresa stated: "We must not be surprised when we hear of murders, of killings, of wars, of hatred. If a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for us to kill each other.”
Amen. The most diabolically disorienting event in my life was praying and handing out pro-life literature at PP. One time I could not say the St Michael prayer. I couldn't remember the words and every Catholic knows this prayer so I defaulted to the "Hail Mary" over and over again, and my mind cleared and I could say the St Michael prayer again.
Ironically, Christine who runs Houston Coalition for Life had the same experience that morning. David Daleiden said our abortuary felt like hell when he went undercover.
October 7, Charlie Kirk assassination, late late term abortion. These are cases where the reaction to 'the thing' is as chilling as 'the thing'. Maybe even more so because you can no longer tell yourself that it's a fluke involving just a small number of people. I don't know what word to use - Demonic?
I saw the signing of that Massachusetts bill and was overcome with revulsion and disgust and horror.. Something really horrible is going on because it was all women and they were all cheering about the murder of little children. I don't "get" this at all but it is the face of evil. The ability to give birth should be a sacred power of women yet these women are happy about murder of innocent babies. How do they sleep at night?
This is just sickening. If they have to deliver the baby why not put it up for adoption? I cant even imagine how the doctor will then go about killing that baby. Thinking of this just makes me so sick.
If one was considering taking the lives of whales, or some other beloved animal risking extinction, they would have drawn back in horror at the thought.
We fight for the spotted owl, but deliver our own children for slaughter. Satan is winning. (For now.)
1. I have worked in Pregnancy Crisis centers off/on since 80’s. The difference in the culture from the 80’s to today. In years past a woman/girl would consider adoption as an alternative. These are the words you hear from today’s girls; “oh I could never give away my baby”. That same person will think choosing to murder her child while in the womb is perfectly acceptable.
2. Little over 30 miles from where I live 4 children, (ages 9, 7, 5, 3) were murdered by their parents, who then took their own lives.
3. What does one have to do with another?
4. From my perspective Jeremiah 17:9 and I could give a lot more, but I know not everyone on this site has the same worldview.
5. Point 4 as it relates to point 1 in my own life. I have found myself struggling with the same callousness toward the girls that they show toward the child in their womb.
Constant evil can take its toll on a person even if they have a solid foundation.
Governor Healy and the State of Massachusetts legalized murder in the passage of this Late-Term Pregnancy Law. Many Democrats are disturbed by this heinous act, too.
This is profoundly evil. It's also confusing to me how things can be reinterpreted by a 'law'. I recently read an article about a woman who relentlessly pursued a case more than 30 years old of a newborn found in a portapotty in a park after a concert event. The deceased baby was given a first name and buried and someone provided a tombstone. Ultimately the newest DNA testing combined with ancestry records located the mother who was tried for murder. Imagine all those years, all those resources used to get justice for that baby even as tens of thousands are murdered. So much irony you could build a battleship.
Did anyone else catch that the abortion clinic actually states that it offers abortions from 5-31 + 6 weeks (that equals 37 weeks)...
It was in the fine print - under FAQs (I took a screenshot and that is in the essay)
Yes, I did - sickening

🥹🥹🥹 That's amazing! God bless you and your wife. Life is so precious and such a gift.

I hear abortion-related stories like Massachusetts’ new law, and I feel a terrible mixture of heartbreak and horror.
And I imagine God looking down from Heaven, shaking His head and saying, “Okay, enough. We’re done here.”

May God have mercy and wake us all up!
Excommunication is a recognition of prior fact, and a call to repentance.
Not doing the obvious is a failure of clerical responsibility.

Our only hope for mercy can be found in Genesis 18:26-33:
The Lord said, “If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake.”
There are indeed at least fifty righteous souls in our greatly blessed Republic, as responses to Dr. Malone’s post reveals today.
Still, my heart grieves all the same.

Hardly surprising given we have a moronic SCOTUS associate who cannot define the word woman. So what do they do about the word living.....undead?
If one was considering taking the lives of whales, or some other beloved animal risking extinction, they would have drawn back in horror at the thought.

One of the most sickening pictures I have ever seen are the monsters behind the monster celebrating the signing of the legislation.
Massachusetts, the current Mordor.
