A great and successful action by our troops and president Trump for deciding to remove Maduro from power to face American justice. The regular lefty morons are protesting and calling for the US to return Maduro back to Venezuela and to power. It was the same idiots who were protesting Israel and whatever else the administration does. Venezuelans who have escaped the Maduro regime were quoted as saying these people are clueless while they cried in the streets almost not being able to believe he has been overthrown and the country is much closer to finally being free. Trump could cure cancer and Alzheimer’s and you would find people protesting it and others refusing to take the treatment because TDS is that real. Aside from weakening Iran and others in the Axis of resistance we are seeing people protesting in Iran which I believe will finally lead to regime change there. I feel Cuba is teetering too. Getting communism out of the western hemisphere is incredibly important for our security but the libtards have no interest in that. I hope Canada is watching too. Should they fail in getting China reigned in might signal their near future too with most Canadians welcoming a US takeover. The US finally flexing its might again is glorious to see. Reminds me of Reagan.

Your article details several facilities in Venezuela that should now, if not already done , be targeted and destroyed given the current at least temporary elimination of Venezuela’s air defenses. Additionally, various foreign agents/technicians in Venezuela should be publicly called out to be expelled by the residual govt. there and if not removed, perhaps be eliminated by other means.

Most of the left are useful idiots in the truest sense of the word. They are incredibly uninformed about the subjects and issues they strongly oppose. You would think they would at least marginally educate themselves about the history of the Middle East and Venezuela, to cite two examples. Unsurprisingly, they prefer to remain nearly 100% ignorant. Yet they continue to react out of emotions rather than knowledge and understanding.

This is an essential read, particularly for the low-information lefties whining about the strike that captured Venezuelan narco-terrorist Nicolás Maduro and his wife. Wars are no longer fought with soldiers dressed in uniformed combat regalia on two sides of a field––this is 21st century technological and proxy warfare––and Venezuela's drug, drone, and distribution node is an existential threat to the national security of the United States.

Given that the deep state is in control of our judicial system, I struggle to hope there will be anything even close to justice on this.

Alvin Hellerstein - 92 year old Clinton appointed judge has been appointed to rule over Maduro case.

"In the latest episode of the Deep State circus that’s turned our justice system into a bad joke, a 92-year-old federal judge appointed by none other than Bill Clinton back in the ’90s has been assigned to oversee the high-profile case against Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro in New York.

This is the same judge who has a track record of rulings that seem tailor-made to thwart President Trump’s agenda and protect left-wing interests." Gateway Pundit

So, my question is - who was in charge of appointing him? Why was Maduro taken to NYC when they could have jailed and prosecuted him in Miami?

The original indictment upon which Maduro was arrested was from SDNY; there is no choice in where he'll be tried.

However, I'm sure other indictments in less compromised courts are teed up and ready to go, despite what may happen in SDNY.

Additionally, the deeper point is that Maduro is now out of power and, hopefully, his regime is in disarray. Venezuela has the opportunity to throw off the leftist shackles and disengage from China, Cuba and Iran. THAT is to our benefit, regardless of whether he is convicted or not.

The scene outside the courthouse where Maduro is set to make first appearance

Good morning from outside the Daniel Patrick Moynihan courthouse in Manhattan, where ousted Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores will make a first appearance after their capture by U.S. forces this weekend.

A mob of reporters and camera crews is staged outside the building, which is heavily fortified today with a bigger-than-usual police presence and barricades that have limited entry to only court staff and the press.

The presiding judge here in the Southern District of New York is Alvin Hellerstein, who has had the case against Maduro and top Venezuelan officials since 2020.

A recently unsealed grand jury indictment adds Flores as one of the defendants, who are accused of overseeing a vast cocaine trafficking conspiracy using gangs and cartels and the levers of power in Venezuela.

He has also handled cases for Maduro's co-defendants, sentencing retired Venezuelan army general Cliver Alcalá to over 21 years in April 2024.

Another co-defendant, former Venezuelan spymaster Retired Maj. Gen. Hugo Carvajal, is scheduled for sentencing by Judge Hellerstein on 23 February.

This judicial assignment has been on hold for six years since Maduro's initial indictment.

There's a lot more to this bold move by Trump.

Here's a little bit of Maduro background which explains the Cuba connection and why his downfall may be the first islamocommunist domino to fall.

Eye opening to say the least.

"You have understand Venezuela is run by Cuba..Maduro is just a puppet. He is Colombian born. At 17 he was taken by the cubans from a slum in Caracas and sent to cuba and trained in their ideology. Then sent back to Caracas to get a job and sit tight. He got a job as a bus driver and eventually made it to the top as head of the bus driver's union. When Chavez did his first coup Maduro gets a call from cuba and was told to make all public buses available to Chavez for loyal troop movements. Which he did. The coup fails and Chavez goes to prison. But it was not long before the cuban loyalists that were well embedded in the Venezuelan armed forces free him and put him up to run for office. He wins with the usual promises of a chicken in every pot and a TV for everyone. Maduro is rewarded for his loyalty and is made ambassador to the UN. Eventually the cubans talk Chavez into making him vice president. Chavez comes down with some massive cancer and goes to cuba to be treated. After two terms he is up for reelection and "campaigns from cuba". When he dies and the cubans keep him on ice for a couple months till he wins in absentia rather like that buffoon Biden here. Chavez returns from cuba in a coffin. Maduro as VP assumes presidency. The cubans have their man running the country. By Venezuelan law Maduro could not run for president while he was VP. He could though assume the post once the president was at room temperature. So now in power for around fifteen years...fake fraudulent elections every time.. any marginally viable political opposition is disqualified, arrested, or disappeared by the regime and their handlers in Cuba.

Those oil tankers we busted a few weeks back are one of the weekly deliveries Venezuela "gifts" to cuba. Cuba in turn sells it on the world market. Never sees refinement or use in Cuba. Cuba does not have the capability or resources to refine it. Cash goes directly into the Castro bank accounts in Zurich and the Cayman islands. Same thing with all the drug running revenue on those speedboats we were taking out... all those $$ are going to cuba via the cuban military embeds in Venezuela and greasing the wheels of the military crooks in Venezuela.

It is the life blood that keeps the cuban dictatorship alive. Without it it dies.

That now paints the picture of what Marco Rubio and Trump are trying to accomplish."

The Left is about as changeable as dried cement…..which is why the Socialist/Communist radicals are moving to take control of the so-called “Democrat” Party. Democrats are so blinded by Trump hatred, they are afraid to admit this takeover is happening and are following along like sheep to the slaughter behind such dark progressives as Mamdani and The Squad. None of these people believe in the Constitution, though they often misquote the document for their own self-serving reasons. How we ever let any of them take the oath of office on the Koran instead of the Bible, I will never understand! Those religious books are as different as night and day. We should NEVER be ashamed of being a Christian nation! If someone doesn’t want to take their oath on the Bible, then they should not be running for office. Period. I’m expecting a kenetic strike on their military capabilities, since these drones are operational. (I might be wrong.) A drone swarm has the capability of hitting our ships, to include our carrier, even if only one gets through.

This is the most competent and America First administration I have seen, and proud of it! I’m hopeful for the Venezuelans and our regional security. Columbia and Cuba is on notice, but I’m thinking Cuba’s Communust government will fall soon, making our hemisphere a safer place.

BTW: Trump said that Venezuelan oil will help their people, and reimburse the stollen oil from American companies, AND pay us for the cost of stabilizing the country—brilliant! 🤗🤩

One last thought. Iran’s Islamic government might fall too, and if you connect the dots, you’ll see the Trump administration AND Israel as the main reason for their demise.

Are you serious?

When the oil industry was nationalized, everything was taken over, millions of dollars in infrastructure and investment was summarily seized by the Venezuelan government. Seized from American companies who had spent actual fortunes developing Venezuela's oil fields into a modern productive industry.

Of course, Americans were never compensated one thin dime for this seizure and since, the socialists have run the oil industry so poorly it now produces just a fraction of what it's capable of.

Expand full comment
Joy Metcalf's avatar

Unfortunately, that often happens when American companies invest in developing the resources of other countries. OTOH, American companies often don't compensate the countries for what they're taking. Does that make it right? No, not on either side.

Expand full comment
Dolce Far Niente's avatar

Your are completely wrong. American companies ALWAYS compensate the countries in which they are involved in resource extraction. They have to, or they wouldn't be allowed to enter, explore and exploit.

100% of the time. Do you imagine Chevron or Sunshine Mines goes into a third world country and spends tons and tons of money without a legal framework that safeguards their investment? And do you imagine any country would passively tell Chevron "Sure, we don't care, take it all, no problem"? And no, it doesn't "often" happen; you're parroting lefty talking points.

We all need to do what we can to prevent those things from popping up in America and that includes sharing information about what is truly happening here. I worry about the democratic socialists making advances in our country, especially due to who's funding it. I have a question how much free speech/actions should be allowed here? I see it more as they're working on ruining America and it's kind of like they're waging a war of a different kind. Do other people worry about what is happening and what about when Trump's term is over? What I see by the left is very concerning it feels a lot more like a take over attempt than just free speech.

Thank you Dr. Malone for this assessment of the Venezuelan connection to American enemies such as Iran. While your assessment is much more detailed it only took about two brain cells to see what has been going on. While I have seen some remarkably accurate assessments from ordinary Venezuelans I have seen people who should know better claiming that the removal of Maduro is about nothing but oil. As you have demonstrated so clearly, a lot more than Venezuelan oil is at play here. Oil that has been being stolen from the Venezuelan people by China, Russia, Iran and Cuba for the past 25 years. The Trump administration approach to Venezuela is a game changer in so many ways. Now let’s pray that a transition back to the beautiful prosperous country Venezuela was can be achieved.
