We are from the gov. and are here to help...yeah. I think we would all have had a much better medical care apparatus if the gov. had kept the hell out of it
And if the polls hold true is over in a few months. I watched Medicare destroy what was at the time maybe the best in the world and certainly more affordable than today
Medical care in the U.S. was infinitely better prior to the arrival of HMOs in the mid-1970s & when doctors had independent practices. The changes were the beginning of the debacle that we now find ourselves in. The system became much like a runaway freight train & took on a life on its own. The more government became involved & the more corporatized the system became, the worse the care became. As the daughter of an internal medicine doctor, who practiced independently for 30-years, & as a retired registered nurse, I saw first-hand how the changes negatively impacted patient care. Doctors are also heavily discouraged from thinking independently & to simply follow federal guidelines. We all saw how that played out during covid. In order for things to improve, the government needs to control less & to encourage doctors to open more independent practices. More government involvement & control has not created healthier citizens. That has been easy to see & track over the last 50-years. It has been quite the opposite. Just sayin'
exactly that list of "PARTICIPANTS" in Women's health.. like one of the Substacks said today.. "We can handle it from here".. well that is what I got to say to them.
I have noted growing controversies regarding Tucker Carlson in this comment section, but I still hold him in high regard, and agree with most of what he says. In the past he has called out my governor by name for his official betrayals and failures; a governor for whom I held my nose and cast an early vote yesterday. I had considered abstaining out of my disillusionment, but the alternative that is the Democratic Party has become a haven for platformed depravity and infanticide. My present predicament is that I am left to compare the relative paces of managed decline.
I also had a painless health scare last month, perhaps the most significant of my life, and I eventually went to the nearby ER at 4:30 on a Saturday morning. Through the admission process I repeatedly made the point that I didn't want to be vaccinated for ANYTHING, and queried them about what they were introducing into my arm. For several days in a row, my urine sample was approximately the color of Coca-Cola. I was left to discover just how disastrous that could be, and to wait days/weeks for conclusive scan results and prospective surgeries. Fortunately, the more benign outcome of dual presented possibilities apparently prevailed. My predicament last month was that I was left to compare the relative paces of my managed demise in the hands of the medical establishment. I hated to need them, but I did. Need is not the same as trust though.
We enjoyed this article and both love the ability to listen and follow along with the text. Still a lot of problems with the NIH. Hope this initiative starts to "move their butts"
I don't like to criticize FLOTUS.. I think many of the her projects are fluff pieces... I like Melania.. she is one the best best Flotus we have had.. I think.. stays out the limelight and limits her exposure decorating and children. I am sure she would rather NOT be doing this and never expected to be FLOTUS. I will never forget her wearing that Jacket painted on it "I DON'T CARE'.. in the Trump's first administration. The recent death threats by IRGC 2026 Video to her son is absolutely beyond the pale.. I don't know how she copes w/ the b.s. I guess I am grumpy today and WHY NOT?
She just made a movie about herself. Hardly stays out of the limelight. I think she should keep a lower profile while she does more. Her rescue of Ukrainian children, restoring them to their homeland was wonderful. I would like to see more of that work and less of Melania super model. The jacket was one of the most stupid mistakes possible.
Any comments on RFK Jr.'s recent statements regarding MMR measles vaccines and positive comments about Fauci? Seems like an about face and betrayal. Wasn't there a study that showed that to prevent one measles hospitalization (in theory/modelling) there would be numerous medical complications and even some deaths in others? Or do I have my "facts" wrong?
According the Del right now the HHS is concentrating on having the public weigh in on EMF's radiofrequency radiation and wireless exposure. Submit comments before 10/22/26.
The questions surrounding this initiative are vast and only time will tell whether any of these are addressed before the next administration, whoever that is...I don't get a sense of optimism here, no wonder! I will concentrate on how to stay healthy. I was walking yesterday, feeling immense gratitude for no aches, the ability to walk briskly and feeling clear in my mind and emotions. What Joy.
Thank you always for your reviews, analysis and conclusions.
As an outsider, I have minimal information or insight into the workings of NIH.
It seems entirely reasonable that HHS should be addressing attention to the unique priorities for womens and mens health.
Reading over your reporting of Biden era woman's health initiatives, it seems to me they appeared to have more to offer. I'm surprised the Trump team failed to incorporate their positives as a part of its current initiative.
I will admit, the outcome of the mid-terms will have a decisive impact on what will be possible going forward.
Curiously, we in Howard County Maryland have been receiving government advice to establish a supply of 3 days worth of fresh water and a supply of food (if they specified how long for, I've failed to retain it). They even suggested 8 types of canned foods to focus on. It leaves me wondering what sort of crises they are anticipating?
That said, imo, no small part of what's doable will depend on the direction the election dictates. Many hopes for a compassionate outcome.
Ho Co is a little CA NY love illegals sanctuary. MD w/ many Raskin style pols. So it could reflect insurrection planners or just more psyops. In any case, I consider such solicitudes very curious.

But this is a new kind of government? 🤞🏻

Perhaps one of the 10000 government funded NGOs can help….
If there is anything left after salaries, bonuses, and political contributions

I wish government would be totally out of health 'care'
Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda. Blah, blah, blah. Tired of announcements, empty promises and words, word, words. I'll wait (forever??) for the action.
