Oh hell

These ain’t judges

Thems are sabots being inserted into the machinery of the MAGA/MAGA revolution.

Just as the original sabots it takes longer to remove the sabot and repair the machinery than it does to insert the sabot.

There is only one way to prevent the use of sabots.

for those not familiar, Sabots are wooden shoes. The term that derived from this is sabotage . The term Luddite refers specifically to the English textile workers of the early 19th century (roughly 1811 to 1816) who destroyed industrial machinery they believed was threatening their livelihoods and skilled trades. They were named after a possibly mythical figure, "General Ned Ludd." Their primary method of protest was indeed smashing machinery, including power looms and stocking frames.

However, the sabot/sabotage connection is a separate and somewhat contested etymology. The word "sabotage" is derived from the French "sabot" (a wooden clog), and the most commonly cited explanation is that French workers threw their wooden shoes into machinery to damage it. This story, while widely repeated, is disputed by many etymologists, who note that the word may simply derive from the clattering, noisy sound of sabots, used metaphorically to mean clumsy or disruptive work.

The French labor sabotage tradition was also largely a separate movement from the English Luddites, rooted more in syndicalist and anarchist labor organizing in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

So to directly answer your question: the Luddites did destroy machinery, but they are not typically associated with the sabot/sabotage method specifically. The two traditions overlap thematically, in that both involve workers deliberately disrupting industrial machinery as a form of protest, but they arose in different countries, different eras, and somewhat different political contexts. Over time, "Luddite" became the broader cultural shorthand for anyone opposed to new technology, which is itself a oversimplification of what the original movement was actually about.

Thank you for the history lesson. I learn so many things here that were never taught during my high school years.

So here is Murphy applying his own means of "Sabotage".

How authorities historically responded to workers deliberately sabotaging industrial machinery is well documented.

In England (the Luddites specifically)

The response was swift and severe. The British government treated machine-breaking as a capital offense, passing the Frame Breaking Act of 1812, which made destroying industrial machinery punishable by death. The military was deployed in significant numbers, at times rivaling the forces Britain had committed to fighting Napoleon. Luddites were tried at mass trials, and a number were hanged or transported to penal colonies in Australia. The movement was effectively crushed by a combination of military suppression, harsh criminal penalties, and widespread informants.

In France and the broader labor sabotage tradition

French authorities responded with a combination of criminal prosecution under existing property destruction statutes, infiltration of labor unions by police agents, and periodic waves of mass arrests of syndicalist organizers. The French government kept close watch on the Confédération Générale du Travail, the union federation most associated with sabotage as a tactic, and prosecuted leaders who publicly advocated it.

In the United States

The Industrial Workers of the World, or Wobblies, openly discussed sabotage as a labor tactic in the early 20th century. The government responded aggressively, particularly during and after World War One, prosecuting IWW leaders under the Espionage Act and Sedition Act, raiding union halls, and effectively dismantling the organization through a combination of imprisonment, deportation of foreign-born members, and public vilification.

In all these cases, the common thread was that the state consistently sided with industrial and property interests, treating deliberate machinery destruction not merely as criminal mischief but as a threat to the social and economic order warranting extraordinary measures.Want to be notified when Claude responds?Notify

For your etymological dining, there is another sabot: the plastic sleeve around a slug used in muzzleloaders. More metaphors invited now. :)

Paternal grandfather was a IWW/Wobblie, was far enough in the organization, Chicago, faked his death (drown) and fled back to Czech Republic. Abandoned wife and children. Returned ?? Thru Canada, to NYC, changed his name, met&married my grandmother, settled in upstate NY, 3 more kiddos. Despite efforts to stay unnoticed, there’s a file on him in the FBI I’ve heard. I want that file. Despite all that, dad had a long noted career in US Government .

What dad’s dad did in Chicago has never been discussed, I wonder if anyone really knows (I WANT that file), but dad’s dad was an angry man as was wife 2 - I’ve yet to meet anyone who has succumbed to the leftist ideology who isn’t angry (that includes my father and to a lesser extent my mother) - tho my sample size is somewhat small, I think there is a genetic predisposition to that dark side as the greater portion of my sibs exhibit the darkness.

Yeah yeah, I know, nature::nurture

Anyway, the story of my family, that which I know, has been grist for some background in one of my stories - yes, with alterations 😆 (specifics and locations changed - interesting local history: there was an active IWW chapter here in Montana - Butte America, which reached a crescendo in 1917 with the lynching of an organizer).

My distaste of leftism is familial and runs deep.

Legacy Webinars just had a presentation on how to FOIA information for genealogical reasons. You MAY be able to get the file you want, but be prepared to submit death records for anyone not born 100-120 years ago. The IWW were at core Marxists - who did considerable damage to industrial venues in the US - railroads and logging/lumber industries in particular. NONE were executed - many fined and jailed, and according to Google AI - IWW still exists today.

If Congress does not step up to start impeaching these out of control district judges, we are going to lose our country! John Roberts, Chief Justice of SCOTUS, refuses to rein in this problem and therefore Congress must act to remove these people from office!

Roberts is owned by the (radical) masons. Remember his black eye ~4 years ago? typical treatment from "the man".

Hopefully he will be overruled quickly and be appropriately spanked by a real judge. There is so much work to be done to unwind the damage done to this country by Soros and the funding of Eric Holders efforts to install liberal DA’s, AG’s and judges across the nation.

Well stated. Would suggest that the material in your post here be submitted to your counsel to be retained until after the appeals of this recent ruling have run their course, so that it can be duly considered at that time as material information related to disciplinary procedures against this judge. It may be argued that his flagrant disregard for the Supreme Court's previous ruling forbidding this kind of injunction under whatever name it is called deserves at a minimum some kind of formal admonishment.

The role of the federal courts, a mistake in my mind of our Founders, is to insure that new laws are constitutional, not to rewrite the Constitution to coincide with their decisions based purely on what they think the Constitution should have said. Realky have, never seen where the Constitution needed much interpretation...pretty clearly written.

That was not an error of the founders. That was a usurpation by the 1803 landmark ruling of Marbury v Madison. The founders' error was they didn't see it coming.

If he is going to ignore the constitution, then he should be ignored in turn.

That’s what I was thinking. The judicial branch has no say over the lawful directives by the executive branch, so why isn’t it possible to ignore these judges and proceed, since their rulings aren’t valid? I’m sure mainstream media would go bonkers if that happened, but they do that all the time, and most people ignore what they say. What else might happen? The justice department is in the executive branch, so when it comes to any kind of enforcement, it ain’t gonna happen.

I seem to recall G. W. Bush ignoring a SCOTUS decision limiting his actions. Or was that someone else? I do know it was he who said the Constitution was "just a G* D* piece of paper."

Would love to see charges brought against Murphy... judicial politicking needs to be stopped.

John Klar's avatar

Murphy is a disgraceful jurist and a vile rogue. Hopefully, more Americans will wake up to the violation of basic rules of law by Democrats -- yet again. If the law doesn't apply to them, at some point, it doesn't apply to anyone. That nihilism seems to be the plan. Murphy should study the history of the guillotine -- his kind are the first to go.

Obama has been SO very bad for the country. ALL the fraud and corruption has been at his orchestration and design. He had 12 years of embedding, embezzling, corrupting and distorting the loop holes of the American way of life and at the same time convincing the American public to go along with a passion that conservative Americans can only dream of. God help America.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

I've always been puzzled by the lack of recognition by the electorate of things Obama said while campaigning. about "fundamentally changing the United States of America." I heard that and thought to myself, "Are these people even listening? Are they aware of what that means?"

The answer, of course, was "No".

Judge Murphy is either mentally deficient or is an agent for the Chemo ,Agra and Drug entities that want to continue to grow their business on the backs of Americans who are physical damaged or die by practices promoted by these amoral and indifferent humans who put profits before health. On both a federal and state level it is apparent that behind the scenes the lobbyists are working overtime on behalf these dominate industries that don't want Americans to live a healthy life. Cancer growth is not slowing down! Shame on the judge. Shame on all who are benefiting from the actions in our government that keep us going down this road.
