This story and issue have not been covered in US corporate media, and this essay may be the most comprehensive analysis yet published.

Thank you for reporting on this. Should be front page news. It highlights what our food supply faces if you look at the big picture. I thought Plum Island had been decommissioned and that work moved to the Kansas facility? Also it will be interesting to see where the mRNA vaccines for swine and other livestock and pets end up in the history books .

02/10/26: Thank you, Dr. Malone. And this was an accident? (italicize the last word).

Thanks for keeping us informed!!

I don’t get it…. Why do we do gain of function at all? We have a nasty virus so let us spend tax payer resources to see if we can make it really, really, really nasty.

Debra Nolasco's avatar

To me, gain-of-function research is the equivalent of having seminars & workshops for violent, deranged members of society, to teach & show them how to be even more effective at harming innocent people & at the same time, beefing-up your local police departments to deal with them (the equivalent of developing vaccines to combat the more virulent virus that was deliberately created)

02/10/26: Because each year, Son of Sams are born. And some of them do their work in labs, not with handguns.

American Citizen's avatar

Because some scientists like to play God…and they are evil…no reason to…they are playing with fire!!!! They think they are superior when instead ignorant of the big picture. Not nice to fool Mother Nature.

Two statements caught my eye: "the legitimate need for vaccine development". It has already been determined that nearly every vaccine that has been developed, was completely unnecessary. "Dissolving Illusions", by Suzanne Humphries, MD & Roman Bystrianyk clearly shows this. The other statement: ..."necessary but dangerous research". I submit that it is not necessary, but definitely dangerous. This kind of research is the equivalent of playing with fire, where everyone is at risk of getting burned.

Have mentioned before, do not believe enough attention paid today to proper lab procedures for handling pathogens. Am old school, trained on open bench where proper procedure strictly taught and adhered to. Then came the bio hoods and detected a more relaxed behavior in those who are trained in newer labs. Not a good idea to allow lax lab procedure and, depend entirely on technology for pathogen containment. Have suspected wuflu arose outside contamination by workers exposed via sloppy technique.

The Hot Zone - Richard Preston (non-fiction re: Ebola Zaire in Reston, Virginia lab brought in via monkeys purchased for tests; almost escaped from lab before identified; like Marburg, hemorrhagic)

Outbreak - the fiction movie based on the book

Fort Detrick - some believe it was the origin of the 1917 Bird (fowl) Flu because local Kansas chickens were infected with something and many services members at Detrick became very ill with a very nasty flu which spread because service members and civilians working there moved around, came and went and there was no quarantine at onset. I have no info on this. It is generally acknowledged that it was not "Spanish" in any case.)

Whether it's politicians and celebrities diddling children, AI programers trying to make themselves sympathetic fuck dolls, or scientists fucking around with their test tubes and petrie dishes out of some deranged god complex, one thing is becoming very clear. Geeks will kill us all. Leave shit alone! They're doing way more harm in the long run, than good! All three of my daughters were forced to take the jab or get tossed out of University, now they have completely crazy periods and wondering what to do since the medical system is still in "denial". Has My, our DNA, been end-of-lined?!

Oh my, what enormous government machinery is set in motion to tackle the problems created by government.

So shall we revisit the accounts of researchers describing tick-borne disease causing deadly meat allergies (perhaps with a wry smile)? Depraved "journalists," whose contempt for non-vegan barbarians is such that this might be considered a positive development?

Shall we revisit Gates' investment in lab-grown meat? Or the WEF telling us that real meat is going to be limited for us to "an occasional treat; not a staple, for the good of the environment and our health?"

Shall we revisit the alleged Gates pump-and-dump of BioNTech stock that made him that much more wealthy? An addition that could then be exchanged for a greater share in the WHO authoritarian pie?

Pedro Sanchez is one smooth socialist operator, and to the best of my knowledge, rests entirely in the good graces of the WEF. Shall we hear Schwab's message that "No one will be safe if not everybody is vaccinated," and ignore the implied menace?

Trust us, they say. Really; that was their motto for the 2024 Davos meeting: "Rebuilding Trust."

Dr. Nass (I repeat) posted an article a while back on the Biden admin poultry cull, based on CDC's own stats, putting the number at 166 million birds. That's domestically, I believe.

I've watched news reports from Spain's RTVE that describe similar mass poultry culls there as well.

They really don't want us eating meat protein, do they?

Greetings from Michigan's Thumb Coast! Great essay! Thank you, Dr. Malone for your in-depth research and comprehensive explanation. This is the kind of reporting that should be done by the legacy media and government officials, i.e., politicians. "Trust us," they repeat. Not on your tintype, say I.

Different subject, but in the stream of political feedback. Recently, at a local government council meeting - open to the public and time permitted for citizen feedback, a courageous resident stepped to the podium to castigate a council member on poor attendance not only at council meetings but at council committee meetings. The reprimand ended with a stinging rebuke, to wit, "if you cannot do better than your current record of attendance, bow -out. We do not need you." Hearty applause from those who attending and seated in the auditorium. In effect, a foretaste for the next local election. Civil, but to the point. That individual is a 'plain speaker.' The admonition was based on collected data! The Drs. Malones speak plainly and with eloquent clarity. Splendid examples to emulate, and a foundation of facts. Can we do less? Rath De Ort!!

This gain of function research is for what benefit of man? If it a virus doesn’t exist in nature why make it? It’s all DARPA dark money funded crap that is going to be used in warfare. Against all international treaties yet it keeps happening. People need prison time for this.

Exactly…how do we find the source and backer to chemtrails???? So obvious in the sky. Must be costing billions and our lives.

Off topic, but for anyone who is interested in making a donation, Attorney Warner Mendenhall is now dealing with Stage-4 cancer. Here is the site where you can make a donation....givesendgo.com/Warner

Mary Stanton's avatar

Done ! The response has been huge !

Debra Nolasco's avatar

Terrific! Yes, the response has been very impressive indeed!

Jane Tracy's avatar

I donated yesterday.

Debra Nolasco's avatar

That's wonderful. Warner is so deserving of our help.

"....versus the risks of accidental release from high-containment facilities"

Or the frightening possibility ...of how easily one country could comercially attack another country competing agricultural industry by releasing biological agents...

Richard Robinson's avatar

I more read necessary research for vaccinations' the more I'm starting to see research that deliberately causes a manmade disease so a vaccine is necessary. Maybe we as a society should not cause diseases that weren't present in the first place.

American Citizen's avatar

Exactly….crisis management 101…cause a crisis…then manage it.

Why destroy domestic pig herds if they get infected? Why not quarantine them and see if any survive. If they do, they become the breed stock for future herds.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

Oh, no, then we'd have a real solution to the problem. Wouldn't want that!

This place didn't happen to have any contracts with NIAID, did it?

Dr. Robert W. Malone's avatar

To be determined, but so far it only appears that USDA is involved.

M Makous's avatar

And like the NAIAD-Wuhan lab connection, I wonder if there is a third party contractor involved to cover the trail of responsibility.

Dr. Robert W. Malone's avatar

It appears like this is a more direct relationship

"How do we conduct necessary but dangerous research while minimizing risks?" If you'll excuse my ignorance, I don't understand what makes this dangerous research necessary.

D D's avatar

Well, my 2 cents worth is pretty simple. As long as this research goes on, there will always be the high risk associated with it. Humans are just too accident prone. Period. Five facilities within the immediate area? I don't know how many (research labs using dangerous pathogens) there are world-wide, but my guess is, too many for any safety regulations to stick. Period.

Dr. Robert W. Malone's avatar

If the WHO has its way, there will be labs with high risk pathogens distributed across the world. It is being considered a matter of fairness and equity.

D D's avatar

Funny how "fairness and equity" used to be something to be promoted and sought after, and now is repugnant to my ears.

SDN's avatar

Doctor, there may be more of a risk to people than your article indicates. Pigs are a popular research subject because their biological results are so close to human. Several diseases have jumped from pigs to humans, and vice versa,

Dr. Robert W. Malone's avatar

fortunately, African swine fever has been around for millenia, and has yet to cross over

Until the laboratory gets its way.
