Like clockwork, the instant the communist/socialist is sworn in, and their hand slips from the Bible, or in Mamdani’s case the Quran, their hand instantly slips right into the taxpayers pocket. (I hate to mention Drs. Malone, Virginia Governor, Abigail Spanberger, who ran as a supposed “moderate”, has released her 50 pages of desired tax increases, as I’m sure you know).

In Mamdani’s absolute bloated proposed 127 billion dollar city budget, there appears to be a 5.4 billion dollar budget shortfall and I’m sure that will turn out to be a low number. Does he talk or even mention making a cut in his proposed budget? No. Does he mention reducing regulations or taxes to stimulate revenue? No, that’s nowhere to be found in the communist brain. By making a cut in his proposed gigantic budget he would be inferring that there’s something in the 127 billion dollar proposed budget that people could actually live without, that’s not happening. No tax the rich or raise property tax across the board 9.5% is the only way out of this. I guess free subways rides, free bus rides, free housing, free food, free everything isn’t all that free after all.

You add to that the other typical side effects of electing a communist like unplowed streets, trash piling up, and of coarse the deaths of 19 homeless people and you begin to understand the results of electing an unqualified communist/socialist mayor in a major city. You see you can’t take the homeless off the streets and put them in a shelter in a snowstorm, it’s against their will. We wouldn’t want to infringe on their right to live on the street. I’ll tell you it didn’t take long at all for the communist with his communist philosophy to have already killed people. It makes sense though doesn’t it (?), that homeless in communist New York City would freeze to death outside on the streets. This is a small view into what you get when you vote in a communist/socialist; there will be no winners.

It reminds me of the fires in Los Angeles that killed at least 31 people and displaced over 200,000. All because socialist governor Gavin Newsom dumped billions of gallons of water into the Pacific Ocean leaving no water at the hydrants to fight the fires, incredible. Or Hurricane Helene and the flooding, particularly in western North Carolina, eastern Tennessee, southwestern Virginia, and the feeble communist Biden FEEMA response. How about Governor Walz and his attorney general purposely allowing 9 billion dollars to be stolen from taxpayers and given to fraudulent businesses and a good portion going to terrorists overseas killing countless Christians.

I don’t think with this next nor’easter bearing down things in Mayor Mamdani’s New York City are going to get much better anytime soon. One statement Obama made that was spot on was, “elections have consequences”. J.Goodrich

James, until colleges, stop having to offer remedial courses for their remedial courses, these are the voters we have to expect to keep putting these vermin in office

Tom Daniel's avatar

Ummm, Michael, add to that, FIRE ALL MARXIST (tenured or not) "professors" (and) SCRAP ALL MARXIST curricula - just for openers; also, OUTLAW the NEA & AFT; extirpate ALL MARXIST indoctrination at the 1,600 "Teachers Colleges" within the USA, that for YEARS have produced MARXIFIED "teachers" that are then employed in PUBLIC schools - who then spoon-feed the imbecility of Marxism into the WIDE -OPEN minds of young children, teenagers and COLLEGE students - WITH MAXIMUM oversight against revanchism.

Until the RATS (and) RAT NESTS are EXTIRPATED, the destruction of our Republic - from WITHIN will NEVER stop (and) the "Fragile Experiment with Freedom" Ben Franklin spoke of in 1787 WILL be completely destroyed.

IF that were to miraculously happen, it would still take TWO and possibly THREE generations of MARXIST-Free schooling to eradicate the INFESTATION of the MOST destructive "philosophy" to ever enter the American academy.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

On this subject...have to wonder just what in hades do school superintendents do anyway besides provide a face for the latest school scandal? They make bigger salaries in Texas than POTUS but just what do they do?

LB (Little Birdie)'s avatar

I keep saying, "Let's try to eliminate public schooling". It is not 'educating' in more ways than one.

Tom Daniel's avatar

Michael? Are Texas school superintendents appointed, voted in, or?

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

Hired by district school boards I think.

Tom Daniel's avatar

AHH, YES! The true TURDS in the education punchbowl! It is astounding how the mind-virus of MARXISM has literally - like a spreading, TERMINAL CANCER - overtaken ANY semblance of common sense within close to 90% of the American populace. THANK DJT for appointing Pete Hegseth

as secretary of war - and IS doing what NO other has in STOPPING WOKE INSANITY from permeating our armed forces.

SR Miller's avatar

Or

Pass a law making it a capital offense to bribe voters.

People stop getting free stuff they might do something productive with the hands they were formerly holding out; when they become productive they might want to keep more of what they actually worked for.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

Wonder if possible to attach a poison pill to all that free stuff so that those who partake have to pay a hidden tax or be required to perform some community service. That would be a hoot

GMoody's avatar

James, I’m fortunate to have zero debt with a fully paid mortgage and 2 good automobiles with no debt. I’m looking at the Dems new taxes list our Communist Governor of Virginia would like and it appears very little of the new taxes list for this year would affect me except we have a gas powered leaf blower, a John Deere gas mower, we get haircuts at the salon and my husband is obsessed with ordering everything possible from Amazon that could cost us some extra taxes. I’m sure our energy costs will balloon as well as increase in gas taxes because we must keep up with California, ya know?

We cook 99% of our meals at home, no restaurant food deliveries (not even pizza), walk our own dog, always pay cash whenever we need help around the house. We’re going to keep a list of extra taxes we avoid so we can think how smart we are to have avoided the added taxes that are surely coming July 1st! Or, maybe I should expend that energy praying instead. Yes, that’s what I’ll do before they start taxing prayer!

INGRID C DURDEN's avatar

without leaf blower or grass mower, and very few buys on Amazon except a few books, I should be quite safe, too. GMoody, when they start taxing prayer, I think we will be even better off. Living in the Bible belt, that will cause a revolution I am sure. Thanks for the laughs!

GMoody's avatar

All this now has me thinking of moving to near the Gulf of America Alabama, low taxes, less costly real estate, God fearing people, but I would miss the distinct 4 seasons of Virginia.

INGRID C DURDEN's avatar

I am in GA and love it here, even though summers are hot and muggy. Lots of mosquitoes, and plenty of other insects, but I will take it all for the milder winters and the mostly lovely spring and fall.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

GMoody, I suspect that's not "fortunate", but the result of good planning and hard work. Isn't it interesting how when we work our butts off to live within our means, we are grateful for the blessings in our lives, but those who have less think we've robbed them somehow?

GMoody's avatar

Yes, we have been blessed.

Another Communist city, Portland, Oregon, leaves homeless to die on the streets as well. All while city officials utter platitudes, fund outreach workers who perpetuate the homeless industrial complex, or go on junkets to Vienna, Austria to study "social housing."

For a deep Dumpster dive into the plight of homeless and how government and ordinary citizens fail them at every turn, see "Truth on the Streets" Substack by Kevin Dahlgren: https://truthonthestreets.substack.com/

Remember: Voters (both legal and illegal) in many American cities and states have chosen Communism and Free Stuff (which is never free) over merit, personal responsibility, and hard work. If only these folks would leave America for countries that have honed Communism to a fine art, they would quickly realize they are dooming America (and themselves) to abject failure, poverty, and widespread misery.

Swabbie Robbie's avatar

and the "Intellectual Left" always says "but it has never been tried in the US before" as if they are so much smarter here than in all the countries who have tried it before. It actually was tried here by pilgrims who thought communal collectivism was the answer to the government systems of Europe. The soon found out many of the people would let other people do the work while taking the fruit of their labors as owed to them

Tom Daniel's avatar

Spot-ON, SR! "intellectual Left" is a contradiction in terms; and one of the MO's of communist indoctrination is cancelling out the HISTORY of the International Socialist/Communist 'movement' - and indoctrinating hatred for the INDIVIDUAL and capitalism. REALLY stupid GENERATIONs fall for this same old bullshit.

Tom Daniel's avatar

Yes, Big E, AMAZINGLY, there has been NO tsunami of immigrants flooding Communist China, N. Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, S.Africa or any other Communist utopia.

Swabbie Robbie's avatar

Even the leftist Hollyweird celebrities that leave America forever in a huff for extended vacations in Europe seem to be crawling back.

Tom Daniel's avatar

Wanna bet they will still trash America? HYPOCRISY be thy name!

Swabbie Robbie's avatar

Of course they will. They were probably not getting enough attention outside of the country they hate so much.

D? Mamdani needs to be D-tained, D-naturalized and D-ported back to Uganda.

Tom Daniel's avatar

Make that MamDUMMY!

Swabbie Robbie's avatar

At the rate its going in New York, Mamadani only needs one new tax item to solve the problems of a declining city and declining population of people and businesses: a tax on U-hauls an Moving Trucks as they leave the city for Florida and other states.

Tom Daniel's avatar

SPOT-ON, James! NOTE, that NY Mayor MamDUMMY has exactly ZERO, experience at (a) real job or WORK employment; NO actual BUSINESS experience, NEVER started a business, NEVER had to meet a payroll - which is the MO of many Marxist would be dictators - Bernie Sanders comes immediately to mind.

Tom Daniel's avatar

YES, MrsMc..MamDUMMY. Or, Mam-COMMIE Dummy!

Tom Daniel's avatar

MrsMc - I am being too kind. MamDEVIL is loose in New York.

Annette Petrone's avatar

Add most every member of congress to that

Tom Daniel's avatar

UNFORTUNATELY, Annette you are SO right! The Demo-COMMIES in the House and Senate ALWAYS vote whatever the "party" line is - or face liquidation meaning removal from office. When you include the RINO-COMMIES who ALWAYS vote WITH the Demo-COMMIES, to the detriment of us SOVEREIGN citizens, each year our liberty and freedom becomes more and more STRANGLED via ever more LAWS piled upon LAWS; and the "Collective Left" doesn't give Hillary Rodham's hymen about America; the U.S. Constitution they all "SWEAR" to "UPHOLD" - just POWER to COMPEL non-believers into submission of the "warm" collectivity of being SLAVE to the STATE!

James Goodrich's avatar

It’s funny I almost added Bernie in my comment. When Mamdani was elected Bernie Sanders was like a kid in a candy store. Dancing around, all smiles, compliments flying. The funny thing is Mamdani hates Bernie Sanders and his heritage. Mamdummy would like nothing more than to cleanse New York City of all Jews and replace them with his brethren Muslims.

Tom Daniel's avatar

I have misrepresented Mamdani as MamDUMMY...MamDEVIL is more descriptive.

The nihilistic SOCIETY he represents - if they politically overcome what remains of our Constitutional Republic - will devolve exactly like the (former) Great Britain

IS - and the Muslim end game is subjugation or DEATH. WORLD-WIDE.

James Goodrich's avatar

I agree 1000% Tom. It’s a thorn in my side that Europe has squandered the sacrifice of millions of American soldiers. By their own hands they have and continue to destroy what was given back to them countless times. Fools….

Tom Daniel's avatar

"GRATITUDE" is a foreign word to too many Europeans - as well as here - unfortunately.

Sonia Nordenson's avatar

Thank you, James. Two clarifications: Those Altadena and Pacific Palisades fires that were met with the empty reservoir and hydrants were in the Los Angeles area. And FEMA is evil, not feeble, as its actual objective is always killing, looting, the seizure of land, and preventing citizens from coming to the aid of other citizens.

James Goodrich's avatar

Thanks Sonia I did know it was Los Angeles I added that paragraph to my comment must have had a brain malfunction. I also meant feeble Joe Biden. Sorry for the screw up!!

Don't be distracted by the Socialist agenda. This is about Islam taking over New York City. Socialism was a tool to get elected and now it's a tool to get people to sell property and businesses. Wealthy Islamic investors will move in and buy the spoils of the economic decline.

Tom Daniel's avatar

LOT of truth to THAT scenario, Mark...WORSE that "creeping Socialism" is creeping Muslimification of America...As HAS happened in the former Great Britain.

Tom Daniel's avatar

DANG! Mean to write - WORSE than "creeping Socialism."

D D's avatar

I've taken a new approach concerning the continuing insane directions this country and other countries promote; observation. My health is too important to keep raising my BP over these directions leading to "how to jump off the cliff". This doesn't mean I don't have an opinion, just not the hatred projected at anyone. I believe hatred will always work against resolution and feeds the issue being hated. Love is always more powerful, look at what Gandhi accomplished. I'm not insinuating that you are being hateful James, just to be clear.

LB (Little Birdie)'s avatar

Couldn't agree with you more, D D. The mind is a wonderous entity and with it's direct linkage to the body (concentrating here specifically with the heart) as you note above, "the way hatred continues to feed the issue being hated".

Read an interesting Epoch Times article this morning titled "Your Mind can Make Your Muscles Stronger". It basically indicates by focusing on what you want to improve, there is physical improvement. Even people in recovery from injury, with little mobility, just by focus w/o movement, there is improvement.

Think what we humans can/do accomplish when using our wonderous minds to concentrate love within our hearts. I, for one, struggle, struggle, struggle, but hope and laughter (a beautiful medicine) does....miracles.

If there are any native Hawaiians as subscribers here, I hope you can understand in your heart my reading of, fascination with, and fumbled beginner self use version of Ho`oponopono. I do recognize and respect this is a sacred ritual within the Hawaiian culture and do not wish to create any ill feelings. My husband has a good, longtime Native Hawaiian friend. I am asking her opinion of this also.

So, if I may: "I am so sorry, please forgive me, thank you and I love you". That is meant as sincerely as I can possibly make it.

James Goodrich's avatar

I appreciate that DD, I’m just trying to be real. I agree with you in many ways, I suppose New York City will get what they asked for, and I do have a lot of love for that 😊😊😊.

Tom Daniel's avatar

DD?? PLMK how To "LOVE" people who want to enslave or kill you - and your family; and want your land or property?

D D's avatar

I'm not talking about philia (brotherly) or philautia (self) Agape is the transcendent version. Without valuing this type of love, we are doomed.

Tom Daniel's avatar

Not meant to an apostate comment ( I pray every night for Him to return), but even a cursory examination of history as written, literally multi-millions of Christians have been slaughtered - babies, children, women and men by non Christian religions...still happening too this day!

D D's avatar

"Christians" haven't been involved in slaughtering too? I don't condone the violence in any form, including the death penalty. And yes, I am talking lofty ideals here. Do you think Jesus didn't have a choice in his outcome? And Jesus is here, in anyone who wants to recognize Him guiding our every move.

Tom Daniel's avatar

I believe I was made by the entity Jesus called "FATHER." Being we are "all God's children, to me Jesus Christ is my MUCH older brother.

The federal government has taken too much tax money from the people, too much authority from the states, and too much liberty with the Constitution...

Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem. ... Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them. Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidize it. ... The problem is not that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much.

Either you will control your government, or government will control you.

It’s difficult to explain the privilege and joy I had as a 17 year old to train and wear the uniform of the United States Army. To see the jets (F-4’s back then) drop 200 pound bombs next to the hill we were on during a training exercise was exhilarating! And to utilize the M-16A1, M-60 machine gun, M72A2 Light anti-armor Weapon, was awesome as a young man. It impacted my life immensely, and that’s why I talk about it a lot—it defined Americanism for me, but it was those I served with that I also remember.

Men, knowing that we could deploy and face death, yet willingly honored their oath to our nation, by training and being prepared. I still have the youthful heart of an infantryman; too bad my body reflects my age. 😆 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thanks James—see you on the next post. 🙂

Yes, indeed, decades ago, environmental lobbyists and sympathetic courts halted the construction of new reservoirs throughout the state. In addition to the LA fires debacle, water wars continue to heat-up because of lack of reservoirs in all of California's mountain ranges, especially the Sierra Nevada, the primary water source for both western Nevada and San Joaquin Valley agriculture, and potable water for California residents. Unfortunately, Trump has no jurisdiction over how a state sources its water, and thus, as long as Demonrats remain in control of Sacramento, the only solution is for smart Californians to continue to abscond from the latter.
