Everyday Americans are blessed with having choices to make, this is our free will. Unlike places like China, we carry much more power over our lives. These choices determine the direction we go. If we open the door and push aside what is right, evil is sure to enter our world.
If I were sick and went to the hospital. The doctor prescribes a drug that he knows can potentially harm me, but he is paid. He knows that chances are, I will end up on a machine that forced breath into my lungs, but inevitably I will die, the doctor had pushed God aside. I could have been the best God fearing person in the world but bad things happened to me.
An innocent six month old child who’s parents are coerced into giving their child a vaccine that the medical establishment knows may harm that child, the medical establishment has pushed God aside.
Why do bad things happen to good people? Could it be someone has pushed God aside, and because God gave us free will, God had stepped back. Love, real love is also found with free will. This is the daily battle. When people choose to push God aside evil enters this world.

I've been thinking about that phrase "No Pain, No Gain" a lot lately. I mentioned back a few weeks here my husband fell while visiting our youngest in HI (w/o me). I think both he and my son learned some interesting and valuable lessons during the 3 weeks he was incapacitated there. Won't go into details, but it made me think that many people must endure the Very Worst possible scenario at a particular time in their life to finally make the effort to change.

I have come to believe that the lack of a belief in God and failure to engage in religious belief is a real problem for this country. I also believe that that has happened because life has became so easy for so many in this country. Religion seems to flourish where life is hard, lived on the edge of disaster, where the belief in a Paradise after death is a real goal that makes persevering worthwhile. When life is as good as it is for us, most people will not see Heaven as all that much better than what they have in the here-and-now. It seems as though prosperity will be our demise. The most devote religious people now are Muslims, almost all of whom live in difficult, marginal conditions, where tomorrow's meals and existence are much more tenuous and certainly less generous than here in the West. I think it's also why Christians in the Third World believe more strongly that those in the First.

The Virginia Constitutional amendment that is on the ballot goes much further than most people think. It's not merely abortion up to 9 months, but many believe that it will eliminate all guard rails. It says: protect the freedom to make personal decisions about...birth control, abortion... which does not place limits on age, thus, if you have a 14 year old daughter or granddaughter, the current parental consent law will no longer apply, and she will have freedom to obtain an abortion if she chooses, and probably also if a man who is abusing her so chooses.
People do not realize that abortion is often used by those who sexually abuse minors, to hide evidence of the crime. The man will never be charged for the sexual abuse if the evidence (the baby) is gone. And when it comes to "reproductive rights," "freedom" is always freedom, and since there is no age limit in the amendment, freedom would apply to all females, and a female of any age is free to agree to an abortion - whether she actually wants it or not - because when a young person is being abused she may not be "free" to express her true preference whether 14 or 17 and a half, but parental consent will not be a consideration because she has "freedom" under this amendment.
She can also be on birth control without parental involvement or morning after pill without parental knowledge, consent or oversight. Often men purchase the morning after pill for the female, and young women should not be taking the "morning after pill" every weekend or numerous times because the high dose hormones especially on a repeated basis have not been established as safe for an adolescent's health (if they are truly healthy for anyone).
Also, because of "freedom" if the woman has complete freedom, I wonder if normal "informed consent" will go out the window - though already the standard is inadequate. I know a woman who had an abortion who has stated, "I got better informed consent when my dog had surgery than what was provided when I had my abortion." That woman had her abortion in her teens, when clinic staff told her, "Don't worry, you'll have another baby later" but she never did. She never was able to have a child of her own after that which has been a source of grief for her -but now in her 50's looking back, she knows she was not given appropriate informed consent to even consider risks vs. benefits and options.
But with this amendment, it's the woman's complete freedom to decide for an abortion (or any type birth control) and freedom is free, and the health care professionals are totally EXEMPT from any consequences for participating in whatever she decides. So, if they fail to give proper informed consent or something goes wrong - it's a liability shield for any professional who prescribes birth control or provides abortion services.
Voting in a Constitutional amendment is a lot easier than getting rid of later. If you have concerns about this, many conservative organizations and many Christian organizations have concerns about the many harmful effects that will arise from this amendment, and you can get more info from Family Foundation of Virginia, Family Research Council, or Founding Freedoms
Law Center, which says “It will eliminate statutory rape laws for consenting minors,
since the amendment provides an unqualified ‘fundamental right to reproductive
freedom’ to every ‘individual,’ without any limitation on age.” Former Delegate Bob Marshall agreed with that statement, stating that this amendment "effectively nullifies any minimum legal age of sexual consent."
An article from the Washington Stand (a newsletter of Family Research Council says: "Note also that parents would be powerless to intervene or sue adult sexual predators, Planned Parenthood or similar groups from ‘changing’ the sex of minor children.”
As for the third trimester abortion, these are viable infants that would be able to be aborted up to the full 9 months. And while they say that the law "will allow" for regulation of 3rd trimester abortions, it does not say the state WILL regulate those abortions in any way, and in other states that do allow those late abortions up to 9 months, most of the time it is NOT for health reasons, and even when there are so-called health reasons, the abortion is generally not helpful to the woman but since this is now so long, I will write separately about those "up to 9 months" abortions. But just know that there are many non-profit organizations and Christian organizations that say the language of this proposed Constitutional amendment is VERY deceptive and I agree, and the public should be educated before they make the decisions - because doesn't it sound nice and American to say that women should be free to make their own decisions about childbirth and post-partum care and multiple different things where - sure, Americans are all about choice - and sure, doctors and nurses should be free to do as the woman wishes, that sounds nice too - but the nice image is not what this will do, this same amendment will let a 14 year old sexually abused female have an abortion without her parents knowing, because it would be her "choice" when the abuser wants her to hide the evidence via abortion.
I imagine others digest these offerings in a general AND personal sense. My favorite is the bear “hiding” behind the tree. Mentally, I label the tree “[I'm]plausible deniability” and ostensibly cuddly bear as “progressive-liberal friend [? acquaintance]” with the caption “when confronted with an uncomfortable, but irrefutable truth.” Unsurprisingly they appear to believe their camouflage is SUCCESSFUL!

What nobody talks about on the left is how the mother is basically used by this evil ideology; once the abortion is performed, the mother is thrown away like trash, figuratively speaking. There is no support, because the act is evil, and every human being knows innately that it is, regardless of what ideology they might buy into. And of course, a murder has been committed as well. The memes in this Sunday's comic strip are especially meaningful to me as a citizen of Virginia. What Gov. Scambugger and her socialist demonic dumocrat cohorts are proposing as a constitutional amendment is essentially institutionalized murder and a crime against humanity and an insult to God. I fervently pray that their horrific amendment goes down in flames, amen!

I enjoy the Sunday Strip every week, but these Candace memes miss the mark for me.
I don't agree with everything Candace Owens says, and I don't pretend to know exactly what happened to Charlie Kirk. But I've listened to enough of Candace, Baron Coleman, Ian Carroll and others to know they're raising questions they believe remain unanswered. If they're wrong, show where they're wrong. Challenge the evidence. Challenge the reasoning. But mocking them isn't an answer.
The meme showing Candace counting money particularly bothers me. Yes, Candace makes money from her audience. So do Robert and Jill—and I'm one of the people who gladly pays for a Malone News subscription. I don't assume that means the Malones manufacture opinions to make money, so why should that insinuation be a substitute for addressing Candace's questions?
That's especially disappointing coming from Dr. Malone. I began following him during COVID and became a paying subscriber largely because he was willing to question an official narrative when questioning it could get you ridiculed, demonized or censored. He has since written extensively about propaganda, psychological operations and the manipulation of public opinion.
I don't need the Malones to agree with Candace. I just expect the same intellectual curiosity that made me respect Dr. Malone in the first place. Answer the questions. Challenge the evidence. But don't ridicule people simply because they refuse to stop asking.
Robert and Charlie were good friends and spoke often. Robert and I both find what she has done to Charlie's reputation and to his widow as repugnant and disgusting.
We watch a dear friend's widow get trashed on the national stage for money, monetization, and clickbait. We watch Candace drag Charlie's name and his organization's reputation through the mud.
Sorry - the questions she poses are silly, the evidence she presents is not only weak, it is also often made up.

The Virginia Constitutional amendment that is on the ballot goes much further than most people think. It's not merely abortion up to 9 months, but many believe that it will eliminate all guard rails. It says: protect the freedom to make personal decisions about...birth control, abortion... which does not place limits on age, thus, if you have a 14 year old daughter or granddaughter, the current parental consent law will no longer apply, and she will have freedom to obtain an abortion if she chooses, and probably also if a man who is abusing her so chooses.
People do not realize that abortion is often used by those who sexually abuse minors, to hide evidence of the crime. The man will never be charged for the sexual abuse if the evidence (the baby) is gone. And when it comes to "reproductive rights," "freedom" is always freedom, and since there is no age limit in the amendment, freedom would apply to all females, and a female of any age is free to agree to an abortion - whether she actually wants it or not - because when a young person is being abused she may not be "free" to express her true preference whether 14 or 17 and a half, but parental consent will not be a consideration because she has "freedom" under this amendment.
She can also be on birth control without parental involvement or morning after pill without parental knowledge, consent or oversight. Often men purchase the morning after pill for the female, and young women should not be taking the "morning after pill" every weekend or numerous times because the high dose hormones especially on a repeated basis have not been established as safe for an adolescent's health (if they are truly healthy for anyone).
Also, because of "freedom" if the woman has complete freedom, I wonder if normal "informed consent" will go out the window - though already the standard is inadequate. I know a woman who had an abortion who has stated, "I got better informed consent when my dog had surgery than what was provided when I had my abortion." That woman had her abortion in her teens, when clinic staff told her, "Don't worry, you'll have another baby later" but she never did. She never was able to have a child of her own after that which has been a source of grief for her -but now in her 50's looking back, she knows she was not given appropriate informed consent to even consider risks vs. benefits and options.
But with this amendment, it's the woman's complete freedom to decide for an abortion (or any type birth control) and freedom is free, and the health care professionals are totally EXEMPT from any consequences for participating in whatever she decides. So, if they fail to give proper informed consent or something goes wrong - it's a liability shield for any professional who prescribes birth control or provides abortion services.
Voting in a Constitutional amendment is a lot easier than getting rid of later. If you have concerns about this, many conservative organizations and many Christian organizations have concerns about the many harmful effects that will arise from this amendment, and you can get more info from Family Foundation of Virginia, Family Research Council, or Founding Freedoms
Law Center, which says “It will eliminate statutory rape laws for consenting minors,
since the amendment provides an unqualified ‘fundamental right to reproductive
freedom’ to every ‘individual,’ without any limitation on age.” Former Delegate Bob Marshall agreed with that statement, stating that this amendment "effectively nullifies any minimum legal age of sexual consent."
An article from the Washington Stand (a newsletter of Family Research Council says: "Note also that parents would be powerless to intervene or sue adult sexual predators, Planned Parenthood or similar groups from ‘changing’ the sex of minor children.”
As for the third trimester abortion, these are viable infants that would be able to be aborted up to the full 9 months. And while they say that the law "will allow" for regulation of 3rd trimester abortions, it does not say the state WILL regulate those abortions in any way, and in other states that do allow those late abortions up to 9 months, most of the time it is NOT for health reasons, and even when there are so-called health reasons, the abortion is generally not helpful to the woman but since this is now so long, I will write separately about those "up to 9 months" abortions. But just know that there are many non-profit organizations and Christian organizations that say the language of this proposed Constitutional amendment is VERY deceptive and I agree, and the public should be educated before they make the decisions - because doesn't it sound nice and American to say that women should be free to make their own decisions about childbirth and post-partum care and multiple different things where - sure, Americans are all about choice - and sure, doctors and nurses should be free to do as the woman wishes, that sounds nice too - but the nice image is not what this will do, this same amendment will let a 14 year old sexually abused female have an abortion without her parents knowing, because it would be her "choice" when the abuser wants her to hide the evidence via abortion.
