Here is a great Sunday story I came across.

The Great King

Once upon a time in a far off kingdom there was a King that was known by the people as the most just and loving King that ever lived.

Just and the Justifier of the unGodly.

It had been discovered that someone was stealing from the Kings treasury. The King, being a just King, sent out an edict that if the person robbing the treasury was found they were to receive 10 lashes. Well the theft continued so the King issued another decree stating whoever is caught stealing from the treasury would now receive 20 lashes. continued on to 30 lashes, and finally the King was forced to make a decree that whoever is caught is to receive 40 lashes. The problem with this is 40 lashes is a death sentence. The theft continued until finally it was discovered that it was the Kings own daughter that was the thief.

A question began to ripple throughout the kingdom, what will the King do? Some thought He would forgive her but that would not be just. Some thought He would issue the sentence but how would that be loving? The King sat down and decided the sentence was just, the punishment must fall so the decree will stand.

One day the entire kingdom was gathered. The Kings daughter was marched out towards the podium in front of all the people. She was bent over the podium and the shirt on her back was ripped open. The executioner stood there with the whip in his hand. He began to raise the whip to administer the first lash, the King shouted stop. A silence fell over the crowd. The King strode toward the podium removing His shirt, He bent down and wrapped his body around his daughters, looked over his shoulder and said now hit her. The executioner objected and said but King these lashes are going to fall on you. The King said the sentence must stand, it is just, now hit her.

So 40 lashes fell on the body of the King that protected the body of his daughter and he died in the stead of his daughter.

So what happened in the story, the King was both just because payment of the sin had to be made and the King was the justifier of the ungodly, you see his daughter went free because the King had taken the penalty.

This explains why Jesus needed to die on the Cross. God is just, so payment for sin has to be made. Penalty for sin had to be made but God is love so he made the payment himself. For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord; Romans 6:23.

Happy Sunday!

I miss church every Sunday: God is everywhere. I miss the fellowship and Communion. One day I will again find a Church Home. Worship and Praise can happen anywhere and does ;)

As we were driving up north for our vacation we saw miles and miles of a solar panel farm and multitudes of wind farm structures along M127 that once was farmland. How sad and disgusting. Your meme about solar panels on roofs is right on. Wind farms need to go as well. We have abundant oil and gas, as well as, safe nuclear energy. Let’s go there. We must save the planet from those who say they want to save the planet. Loved those 2 memes.

I hope the DOJ can do something about Fauci. He deserves to pay for his lies to the American people. I would appreciate an apology and true remorse for the damage he and his henchmen perpetrated on the American people and the world.

APPS and passwords are such a pain in the you know what. Drives me crazy.

Thanks for the Sunday Strip, Malone’s.

There was a solar panel farm in the desert of Nevada, for from a city. From my recollection, they shut it down, one reason was that the panels killed birds in the area, besides not producing enough energy for municipal use. Research that—can’t find an app to do it for me. 🤩

Dear Comequicklylord,

I use AI to help me. GROK on X is good. You are so right that these terrible wind and solar farms are dangerous for birds and some wild animals

Some guy on a street corner convinced me to buy Ferrari and Lambo seeds; said with care, good soil, and irrigation, I could harvest these myself and save a ton of money. But after all those months of care and waiting, all I got were ripe Dodges. Rip-off.

How many read the first meme with AOC in her voice? Also, literally laughed out loud because it's so believable that she would think groceries wouldn't have a farm behind them. HOWEVER, she might only shop lab created products 🤔

Excellent comment about needing an App for that! My phone is full of those one time use apps. 😥

Also remember Covid was never bad enough to shut down the protests…just bad enough to shut down schools, churches, funerals, hospital visits…

This is a true story about a rarely-used parking app:

I drove my wife to a municipal office in town. I had to park using a certain parking app already installed on my phone. I tried to enter the location code, but not recognized. Tried another two or three times, still nothing. Then I realized the app was probably out of date. I searched the app but couldn't find an update button. (There was no automatic reminder either.) So, I go to the appstore and to upload the app again. The appstore told me it's already on my phone. (No kidding.) Luckily, it said that I need to update it. So I hit the update button. Then the app could recognize the location code. I tried to pay, but was told my cc is out of date. So I enter all necessary details for my updated cc. But for final approval I need to go to my banking app to authorize the updated cc. The banking app was also out of date. So, I had to update that app, with necessary logins, authorization codes, etc. Finally, I notify the bank to approve the new cc for the parking app. I navigate to the parking app, but it timed out. So I reopened the app and finally lined everything up and paid the parking fee. The ordeal took at least 20 minutes and minimum a couple hundred buttons using my fat fingers, which make for a lot of errors and re-dos.

As I look up from my phone, I see my wife leaving the office having completed her business!

THAT should be on the front page of NYT and every tech-y app-y magazine or web page or whatever communication APP they use. Obscene in a ‘value of time’ sense!

I had a similar type experience just this week navigating the PERMISSION to volunteer in a nursing home where I’ve been helping for 3 yrs!!! I spent better part of 2 days…..

I bet almost everyone reading has had a similar TIME WASTER recently - maybe yesterday!!

Pax Silica is a horror the world should not be forced to endure. Like the COVID era on steroids. So the big question, and the obvious one, is what can we do to stop this? We don’t have answers and the excellent video and article linked above doesn’t either. However, we all can do a few things to slow down the Pax Silica train:

• Do not comply with Digital ID in any form.

• Dump your smart phones. They are personal tracking devices. (Yes, separating from smart phones is difficult for many, but dumb non-internet connected flip phones work fine for voice and text once you lose your addiction to smart phones. Dumb phones are still somewhat trackable because they ping cell towers, but much less so than smart phones.)

• Oppose AI data centers.

• Pay CASH for everything that you can.

Allow me to stand and cheer for the exposure of what I refer to as app insanity. It's most certainly out of control and I have a story.

I've been dealing with a bad hip. Have to trade the old one in for a new one. I signed up with a corporate run physical therapy company. PT comes on Monday mornings. Then he sends me exercise assignments on my phone. Two choices - download the app or click on web link. They keep wanting me to download the app though but I can't. Since I upgraded to OS 26 everything is rearranged. I can't download a free app without putting in my Apple password. But it won't accept my password. I changed my password, got the confirmation code. Nope. I watched numerous Youtube vids trying to explain how to reset the iphone to download free apps. Nope. All different because... each Youtuber was on a different OS.

Conclusion - ITs have to have a reason for being so just because something works well does not mean it should not be rearranged, renamed, resorted into another catagory.

I really really really don't belong here anymore. 🙄

My favorite two memes are John Cleese and the Beagle zapping Fauci since I love dogs.

I began an online Masters in Applied Biotechnology. The first course was Intro so it was sweeping but there were 2 weeks where we focused on lab methods and use of animals. Their mistreatment led to IRBs, IACUC approval and universally the three Rs rule were put into place internationally: replacement, reduction, and refinement. Additionally the PHS Policy / NIH rules — institutions receiving Public Health Service funding must follow rules covering all live vertebrate animals, including mice, rats, and birds. Oversight is through the institution’s IACUC — Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.

So how did Fauci get away with this when everyone else has to use 99.0% mice or "organs on a chip"? Wait Fauci got away was mass murder, so of course animals in his labs will receive no mercy. 🤦‍♀️

Technically, Fauci is number 3 in mass murderers. Only Stalin and Hitler have killed more people.

A vote for how to stop an active shooter. Capital punishment has been debated endlessly with points and counter-points that will bore you to tears. In my world capital punishment wins the day with "once you kill a killer, they cannot kill again". Anyone willing to speculate how much investment, manufacturing and Venezuelan oil the Harris/Walz team would have brought to the U.S.A. ?

Meemanator's avatar

Plus when a killer is eliminated, the taxpayers don't have to feed him anymore. The debate about whether or not capital punishment is a deterrent to crime is completely irrelevant. Criminals will criminal. Remove them and they can't.

Micheal Nash, Ph. D.'s avatar

Has been shown to deter certain crimes, but only when used appropriately. A lethal injection decades post conviction does not fill the bill.

We bought a top of the line dishwasher, Bosch. Our old one had a button to do a simple 15 min pre-rinse. Push the button to Rinse.

The new one, 3x more expensive, download an app, program it specially for a "FAVORITE" for Rinse. Next time you want to Rinse,

-- Find your phone

-- Find the app on the phone

-- open the app

-- go through 2 minutes of searching to find the Rinse Dishes process

-- figure out which buttons to press to Rinse or quit the app

-- wait for the app to communicate with the dishwasher and start

. . . that's IT!

what joy. Love your NEW Bosch Dishwasher!

THERE IS AN APP FOR THAT. I know. talk about ridiculous nonsense which is the reason when I go out and about here where I live I do not ever carry my smart phone. It is like back when I smoked: if I was out having a cigarette you can bet that "someone" or anyone would ask me for a light or a cigarette. I was smoking right? If you have that "smartphone" out and I think it is strange to see a person w/ a long rectangle talking to it.. just sayin' :) ROFL PEOPLE WILL EXPECT YOU TO DOWNLOAD "THE APP" yes and that happened on a flight a couple years..I learned then :) It is Sunday. :) the houses w/ the paved front driveways.. versus the treed lot houses.. well we got that going on up here.. you can guess which one looks like mine. :) I think a Fox lives in the back of my yard. HAVE A BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY :) App free !
