Just finished reading your book. Very informative and fun read as well. Since we don’t have room for a proper garden, I’m considering a hydroponic system where I’ll be able to grow a few veggies. Also important to support local farmers markets too.
Great information. especially the butter, lard, olive oil and meats, and fish which are as fresh as possible. Fresh veggies and fruits and spices like garlic and onions made from fresh produce as possible :) I know it is tempting not to do all that I was tested for everything under the sun.. back when I had the stomach issues I can resume eating like I used to eat. :) THANK YOU AGAIN . Jill and Robert :)
Thank you for this selection from your latest book. As a result of many of your Substack essays and starting into my kindle copy of your book, I've made beneficial changes. My current readings are helping get me closer to fully on track again.
Love the logo. Purchased the corresponding t-shirt. A Worthy purchase!
Delighted to see so many sources for purchase. Will be checking back to add the audio version.
Weston A Price Foundation which I have been a member of for years is a wealth of knowledge. I can attest to what you all found. I urge everyone to follow an ancestral diet.
Thank you for all the info and I fully understand that ultra processed food is to be avoided but I have a question about what is or is not ultra processed food. I also understand that some breakfast cereals are definitely ultra processed like Fruit Loops with extra sugar or the ones where sugar is one or THE main ingredient but......Total, regular old fashioned Cheerioos made from whole oats or old fashioned oatmeal, or....bran flakes or Shredded Wheat (without frosting) or Special K---original, not the newer 15 varieties -----I would think would not be ultra processed but.....it would be nice to know whether my assumption is correct.
Our family quit using margarine 25 years ago and are quite happy to use butter even tho it is not cheap but.....I think it is much better for us than any of the "whipped" spreads with their numerous chemical ingredients.
We are thankful that we live in an area where we can grow our own cows on our own pasture and supplement our freezer with wild pigs, deer, squirrel, doves and other God given animals that if we harvest a small amount are totally sustainable
Greetings from Michigan's Thumb Coast! Thank you, Dr. Jill and Dr. Robert, for continuing your advocacy of real food. I return to your writings after a month plus absence during which I underwent an emergency surgery procedure of 5+ hours to repair a bilateral esophageal hernia which relocated the stomach to the abdomen, a result of an inability to digest highly processed seed oils following removal of the gallbladder 12 years ago. The years between then and now have been marked by severe gas pains, spitting, and retching! The slightest amount of the highly processed seed oils turns my system into a chaotic frenzy, and unfortunately, the oils are found in everything on sale for consumption, from commercial breads to pizza dough and pie crusts to dietary supplements, including Boost and Ensure! Post-surgery, a transfer from hospital to convalescent home, where much of the food was prepared in large commercial quantities. Much of what came to me three meals a day was inedible. Only through the efforts of a loving and supporting family who brought "real" food to me daily did I acquire nourishment to sustain me until discharge to home. Five days of wholesome food I am regaining my strength and energy! Keep up the advocacy to obtain and prepare the healthy products we ingest! Change does make a difference! It is so good to be back! Rath De Ort!
Well done, we were organic vegetarians and thought we were eating healthy also. My health tanked in 2003 (autoimmune disease/ graves). I lost 60 pounds but not in a good way. My body was consuming itself, I could barley walk up a flight of stairs or pick up a 10# weight. I / we changed diet our diets. I read Patient Heal Thyself and adopted that diet, and read many other books and started living differently (since then we "homestead" have huge garden and eat organic & local. I recovered and was in pretty good shape a year later. Eat simply eat whole foods. If you can't pronounce it don't eat it, chemicals are not food.
I hope that readers here realize I am a Solutions-based influencer.
In Jr high I was saying I have a tapeworm, and that was my excuse for the "hollow leg" syndrome. Apparently it was the Tapeworm talking, not me. Introducing itself to my pals in the school cafeteria.
Soon she will be a neighbor, no longer a symbiot. A gentle transfer from my Playschool toilet, to nextdoor.
Leiticia is trying to scare the cats out of me! https://www.facebook.com/reel/1742118256705313 I told her that even if this means we are over - that I consider my symbiots beloved pets that keep me out of scrapes (sometimes without my realizing I was in danger) that I get the cats!
Amazing that you both lost 50 lbs and digestive issues were much reduced. We managed to eat well mostly because we loved vegetables and protein and milk, etc. My husband is a great cook as was his Finnish mother. Much home gardening, bread making, sarmas, ground beef rice in cabbage role and, pasty: potatoes, carrot, potatoes and pork. I have loved tomatoes and home grown tomatoes truly are much better than from big commercial. Even then we were 10-20 Lbs overweight while working, now have lost. You are both amazingly productive, as to the level you will take on meaningful output! Politics, science, farming, international relations, committees.

I wonder about Cheerios also. They seem pretty straight forward.
Oh, quit using a microwave, throw it out...

The danger is that everybody has quantum dots stealing energy from our immune systems. Therefore the parasites are growing proliferate.
Eating food in its natural state is always better.
