I noticed The Wellness Company ads immediately and had the same thought. Nothing wrong with their product or availability but the fear mongering to increase sales is so obvious. It has the opposite effect on me…I don’t want to buy anything from them when they do that. I immediately think I don’t need what they’re selling!

Beky Townsend's avatar

Yep. I had the same feeling after reading that.

It’s sad that every time there’s an accident in a lab, or a virus crawls out of a wet market, or a severe flu season is expected, the first thing we think is an underlying nefarious motive. Not that it isn’t deserved, there’s just a constant reminder how far the American medical establishment has fallen by its own evil deceiving hand.

Joy Metcalf's avatar

Has it really fallen? In the 1800's, when homeopathy came to America offering actual cure, the medical establishment immediately formed the AMA "to stamp out the scourge of homeopathy". What was that scourge? Cure instead of suppression.

When Ignaz Semmelweis advocated for washing hands to save lives, the medical establishment belittled him. When it became painfully clear that women who used midwives rather than physicians had better birth outcomes, they were not only sidelined but vilified, and what had always been the tradition--women helping women--became a specialty of physicians. Surgeons used to be considered far less able than physicians, but now are seen as the crème de la crème. Herbalists, who were the go-to for health and healing, were also sidelined and vilified by the medical establishment.

I don't think the medical establishment as a whole has fallen; I think it's just shown its hand. Those within it who are truly interested in being healers are outcasts if they don't tow the line.

All I know, since Covid and before, I personally don’t trust anything they say because they have lied to the public so often. I think a lot of people feel the same. Honestly, I M O, they have created a dangerous situation. When a real crisis crops up, I’m afraid, many won’t believe them because this medical establishment has so lied. My sister took two safe and effective Covid shots and now has lymphoma, got a turbo cancer and lung cancer.

Uncle Mikey's avatar

Very sorry to hear this. I had to have heart surgery during COVID and got them to do it unvaxxed. They weren’t happy about this, but I tested negative for Covid before, so I was able to get it done. So much damage psychological as much as physical from that insanity!!

James Goodrich's avatar

Well I hope everything went well Uncle Mikey! My wife is a nurse in a major Boston OR. I drove her in and picked her up everyday through Covid, it was an extremely scary time. The government (medical establishment) forced 3 shots on all employees. One doc that I renovated his house got 2 blood clots in his lungs and then had a cerebral stroke. It pretty much ended his career. Eventually they let him go. Two other employees that were young got colon cancer. One died the other survived but isn’t well, she has a timeline on her life. A big surgeon there also got colon cancer. How can you ever trust these people ever again? I’ll never trust what they recommend, at one time I did trust them.

It is truly a sad and vividly scary time with smoke and mirrors all around, James. I read today the Amish in NY are being harassed and vilified for trying to stay vaccine free. School mandates, trying to erase religious exemptions are to blame. So stupidly malicious.

Drs. Malone, I so appreciate your insight, awareness, and truth-telling.

Grifting. Flogging the hysteria. It's the thing these days. One after another after another. These days, we're up to one every few months.

I remember the "good old days" when grifts like agw came along only about once a decade or more.

These hysterias barely have time to build up before they're announcing a new one!

Swabbie Robbie's avatar

The churn. We are exposed to it daily in all forms of media.

Fear Porn. There was a case of Scarlet Fever at my kids school before 2020 which made exactly zero people panic. More revealing there was a Bubonic Plague deal in Los Angeles last year. No one during the 2025 Plague in LA scrambled to scare anyone. I am just so sick of the fear porn. Anyone who thrives on panic in others is someone I do not understand. After COVID my tolerance for this behavior is zero. I lay immediate judgement down on those who promote fear.

Spot on! Wellness Company is run by an astute drug marketer. Company is selling overpriced dated prescription drugs (two years to expiration) that can be taken without the supervision of a physician and pharmacist. Lilly is doing something similar with GLP1. Law suits are growing on GLP1 side effects including death. Both marketing programs exist because EUA was extended by the Biden administration to 2029. Wellness Company is doing so well they have joined the Big Pharma boys selling their wares on national TV. The bottom line keeps trumping good medical decisions. FDA has been marginalized and neutered. Fear is their number one promotor.

Artur Kolski's avatar

Thomas, as usual, you’re getting dangerously close to the truth — but I think the truth here is a little more uncomfortable. It’s not just corporate greed or fear used as a sales tool. Product economics, regulation, the cost of keeping technologies alive, and what medicine gradually stops using all help determine what stays on the market. And sometimes the “best” solution loses to the one that simply fits the system best. Funny how that works.

Thomas A Braun RPh's avatar

Agree. Controlled medical paradigms created for maximum return on investment.

Artur Kolski's avatar

Exactly. And then the question is no longer just “what works?” but “what is the system willing to keep, study, and sell — or repackage and bring back as a new, improved product?”

Thomas A Braun RPh's avatar

Designer antibiotics are good example.

Artur Kolski's avatar

And then the loop gets even stranger. We spend decades increasing antibiotic pressure, AMR grows, and fear of AMR unlocks massive public funding for the next generation of antibiotics. Meanwhile, we talk far less about host resistance — how to make people less susceptible to infection and reduce the number of infections before an antibiotic is needed at all.

Agriculture, industry, the environment, and healthcare itself keep adding new pressures, and then the system spends more and more money treating the consequences. Great business model. Not necessarily a great public-health model.

I recently discovered Pierre Delbet, a French surgeon whose work keeps making me wonder how we managed to forget someone who saw so early the connections between medicine, the environment, agriculture, and human health. The more I read him, the more I feel he simply deserved a Nobel — but maybe his observations were too simple, too broad, and too uncomfortable for the system to really want to see them.

“No field of human activity, not even medicine, has as much influence on health as agriculture. As long as farmers and doctors continue to ignore one another, public health will remain mediocre or poor — and will continue to deteriorate.”

Thomas A Braun RPh's avatar

The medical business model runs on not recognizing the root cause of ill health.

I think this is the most recent and perhaps clearest example of a pattern of using isolated, un-identified, and insufficiently researched 'incidents' for financial or political gain. There is a huge difference between informing the public and marketing for personal/corporate financial gain. I'm a business owner, and it is possible to support regular capitalism (best product, best value, when product needed) without turning it into greed, propaganda, or corruption.

SashaSue's avatar

That always bugged me about the Wellness Co. It always seemed a bit grifty to me and running higher prices for drugs like IVM that are very reasonable but charging much higher prices than the drug is actually worth. Milking the fear porn is rather disconcerting.

Christopher Quick's avatar

Fear is also a common product of the Enemy. It is used to divide and confuse humanity. Truth is the antidote. As long as MAHA remains committed to truth, the organization will eventually accomplish its goals.

My real fear is having antibiotics available when I need them. I am allergic to most antibiotics. I get serum sickness. There are very few antibiotics that I can take. I can however take doxycycline. Thank you for the information. Have a great day!

PS . I enjoyed your interview on Alex Jones yesterday.

Charlotte Skvortsov's avatar

Thank you for being a voice of sanity. Again.

I was hoping you would bring this "grifting" to our attention. Dr. McCullough doesn't miss a beat when it comes to selling overpriced kits for wellness. From toilet paper to antibiotic shortages is quite the leap! Please keep us posted, you are one of the few sane voices about this.

Kim's avatar

Wasn't Dr. McCullough attacked and wiped out early on in the pandemic? I don't fault him for making less than perfect choices to support himself but to me, there's a big difference between grifting and mandates. Fear sells. Always has, always will. It reminds me of the preppers and gold bugs - it's simply the most effective way to sell. It surprises me it works because it's such a big turn off but it never stops and the Wellness Company is one of the worst offenders. I'm not sure how much Dr. McCullough influences marketing or even if he has any marketing background. I give him a pass especially because of how much help he was early on in covid. He may be reduced now to grifting to pay legal bills. And it's MY choice whether I make a purchase or not.

D D's avatar

Kim, I would re-consider the "pass". The history of how he treated Dr. Malone is worth knowing.

Kim's avatar

I have an open mind but figure I need to spend my research time and energy elsewhere. Anybody who has treated Dr. Malone poorly speaks for itself. I just watched a senate hearing from awhile ago where Dr. Malone confronted Senator Blumenthal. To me, the senator came across as a true slimeball. There was also a Dr. Scott who self righteously claimed he had lost hundreds of patients to covid and how devastating it was but within minutes stated he had used Remdesivir, not used Ivermectin and ironically was unable to see a possible connection to "his" devastating losses. We are in horrific times.

I forgot which Monty Python movie it was where they came down the street with a cart, calling out "Bring out your dead." I'll get my wellness kit when I hear this.

Think russia has stock in wellness? They certainly need the money

Swabbie Robbie's avatar

The Wellness Co. should prove that their hearts are in the right place by donating the drugs to Russia, instead.

D D's avatar

As an after thought, doxy is potentially very hard on a system. People can get stomach issues and it can kill friendly bacteria. If people take this without warrant, they can put their whole system at risk.

Swabbie Robbie's avatar

Good follow up. It seems if the plague were an outbreak in Western Russia, the antibiotics would best be used there, not bought up half a world away. I can understand people in Western Russia panic buying until there is no more available, So if there is a continuing threat those antibiotics should be sent there by the US and other countries. But if there is no continuing threat everybody should just chill and just wait for the next fearporn.
