Skirted around the role of public education in influencing these perversions including the hiring of pedophiles at all levels of the educational ladder. Not only are gay teachers now out of the closet and presenting themselves as role models but administrations are moving heaven and earth to convince very little tykes that they are gender confused. So...
The libraries are to be included in education. When I started at my particular branch the 'librarians' were middle aged teachers and ladies not inclined to want to continue in the realm of public education but liked working with public (for the most part) ; > }
I got my job at the lib after working in an inner city elementary school where my car was stolen (recovered damaged), a fight amongst families broke out during an after school activity with guns and I was accused of striking a child in a class I helped monitor (I was a teacher's assistant). I was quickly found Not Guilty when Principal viewed video camera (yes, they were in classrooms).
Anyway, I retired from Lib as Covid was drawing itself down. Now the libraries are filled with rainbow hair in admin and branches. I don't dislike them, just wonder as I watch the reading hour, what all is going into small vulnerable brains.
I guess I tend to be somewhat trusting. I never saw Barney (the dino), Sesame Street (in the 80s) or the teletubbies as a message of LBGTQ altho now I recognize them as such. Neither of my guys seem to have been turned by watching those shows, so maybe parents would also have to be a major reinforcer.
Oh yes, Micheal. Toward the end of my work relationship with my local branch, I had to attend a seminar regarding 'pronouns' and generally being 'educated' in how to behave. Several folks placed said 'pronouns' on their emails. I was then reprimanded (by other like folk, not my manager) for not following thru. I told them several times it most likely wasn't going to change for me cause "I was TOO old to deal with that!". It is probably wayyyy out of control by now, but luckily I was retired before they could come after me with their rainbow swords.
I can live with a people who identify as gay. In fact, I have a niece by marriage who is. But, I cannot abide someone telling me how to live MY life. And, I am very disturbed by how militant the LGBT!Q community has become (more the 'women' than the 'men', I have known.) I continue to 'judge' more on an individual level. That being said, I am very disturbed with the way they are gloaming onto all children and pushing their ideas/thoughts/agenda on innocents.
I have no problem with most gay and lesbian people. I have a trans friend (who is in her 60's now and transitioned at age 50 back in 2008 or so) who I also have no issues with. I think consenting adults can do whatever they want in the privacy of their homes with other consenting adults and it's nobody's business but their own. However, when children are brought into it and being taught that it's so wonderful and colorful and great before they are adults, I think this is extremely wrong and evil. It doesn't mean that children who "know" they are gay should be discouraged or condemned, just that it shouldn't be pushed on them either, which is what has been happening for a decade now, at least.
I work for a major university. After Trump won the election but before he was sworn in, the university quickly removed the whole DEI department and any and all requirements they had had for us to do diversity training (they had actually stopped requiring a certain number of hours of it even before covid, however). They haven't just renamed it either, it's gone. Towards the end of the 2010's, lots of employees had pronouns in their email signature and their zoom signatures in online meetings. Now, most have removed them, and I think there are only one or two I see in meetings of 20+ people. So things have changed for the better, at least at my university (when I started there in 2005, I was required every year to have at least 4 hours of diversity training...which was initially somewhat interesting as it included things like meeting with different religious groups and learning about ways to minimize workplace conflicts.....but eventually became all about LGBTQ+). That said, the town the university is in still had a pride parade this year and painted rainbows at some crosswalks and still seems to support and advertise pride month events, so it's not completely gone in my area, unfortunately.
I am AFRAID of going to the public library now with my grands. In the 80's I took my summer group ( day care for some of my cub scouts--you know when cub scouts were all BOYS) to the library every week!
How about no public libraries for children? There are other ways to provide reading materials, curated by parents. Sesame Street and anything on PBS or the BBC damage children’s mental health. We would not allow our children to view these 40 years ago.
I, personally, would find that so very sad. Libraries were a love nest for me. I loved going to the quiet space holding as many books as I could find. Sweet ladies to help me. I understand they have changed, but still have so much to offer.
Like all things, I would say parental supervision is key. Don't let young children go alone, or leave them so you or they can hang out at the computers thinking the library staff can do the babysitting.
A smart and watchful parent is important. Don't miss out on the good because you want to avoid the bad.
My grandchildren have hundreds of classical books of the western canon. They are homeschooled. Their library exceeds most public library collections for real education. They are voracious readers. Junior high kids reading Homer’s Ulysses and many others.
That could fall under government influencing LGBTQ right? But totally agree here.
The one factor I think was missed was the pharmaceutical component. Agree with the media piece, but the use of illicit drugs with ease of pharmaceuticals in the younger generation, with constant screen use, all of that is changing the human mind. I wrote about this in an older article: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/the-reality-of-programming
What’s also interesting is the MKUltra element. I argue that when you start adding all three into play, it shows a hidden hand moving these agendas.
Ironically, I’m working on an article on just the decrease in births on women for tomorrow. This piece ties in perfectly!
I, too, stopped shopping at Target and let them know I did not appreciate walking into a rainbow display of transgender/gay products for children. I used to enjoy the rainbow as a symbol of God's promise. Now it's not so appealing in such garish representation of the alpabet group. The percentages you mention are far out of whack. Can't help but blame the woke administrations of the Democrats helping to boost such.
Yeah, but don’t give them the rainbow. They don’t get to take it. I admit I don’t wear it/use it much either because of the crazy alphabet misappropriation of it. That’s God’s symbol.
The use of the rainbow is clearly a deliberate attempt to rebrand it from Christian to LGBTQ+. This has been obvious to me since the early days of gay and lesbian pride. It's intentional.
Because men and women are different psychologically, most heterosexual relationships take work to accommodate those differences. There is naturally tension due to different approaches to situations, etc., and compromise is necessary. I believe that, in this day and age where stress/tension/"difficulty" is pathologized (that is, if you're experiencing these normal emotions, something "must be wrong"), women are more likely than men to adopt strategies of avoidance. One such strategy is entering into a same sex relationship, especially now that such has become more socially acceptable. In short, rather than do the work in a heterosexual relationship, which would be healthier and better for any children involved, some women are opting for a same-sex relationship which is more "comfortable" but less healthy in the long run for all concerned. I also agree that learned hatred of men has been a contributing factor. BTW, I post this as the loving father of a daughter in a same-sex relationship.
After years of donating financially to my local "Friends of the Library," I stopped supporting them because I could tell their overall political leanings were becoming far left (neofeudalist)
and that their hosting of "Drag Queen Story Hour" was only a matter of time. It happened at least once (in 2022), and I sent them an e-mail with "NOT Appropriate for Children!" in the subject line. Part "old classical liberal" and part "granola conservative," I used to frequently say that I didn't care what other people did in their bedrooms as long as everyone involved was a consenting adult and that I didn't have to hear about it (or watch).
Because I have participated in some "performing" activities throughout much of my life, contact with gay people has been essentially inevitable; in addition, I have a small handful of gay relatives by biology and by marriage. The one thing I have never discussed with any gay people in my life (but would like to) is, why do you want your sexual preferences to be a PRIMARY (rather than secondary) part of your PUBLIC identify? For example, instead of "I'm Joseph, your gay neighbor who works as a bank branch manager, makes homebrew, plays keyboards, snowboards, and has three rescue dogs," wouldn't life be better for Joseph and everyone else if he could be Joseph, your neighbor who works as a bank branch manager, makes homebrew, plays keyboards, snowboards, and has three rescue dogs who also happens to be gay?
The UK should be ashamed of how they treated computing pioneer Alan Turing (who happened to be gay) after he saved England from Nazi Germany, but western Europe and the USA have come a long way since then. Do we really still need "pride" month, which seems to have devolved (like so many things in the 21st century) into an annual marketing event? We need to sell more rainbow boxer briefs!
Without going into too much detail to protect the privacy of those involved, I know a family where one son "came out" to his parents as gay during his teenage years. When I learned that he was gay, I was not totally surprised; looking back to his early childhood, there were a (very few) clues that perhaps he had indeed been "born this way." Nonetheless, I also knew that he was an upper-middle-class white male attending a suburban public high school during Trump's first term. Adolescent politics were becoming increasingly far-left, and part of me wondered, "Is he REALLY gay, or is this the only way he can be seen as anything other than an 'oppressor'?" He is still gay, and I still wonder. Of note, his siblings are straight.
As for the "transgender" myth (as I call it), I consider it a neofeudalist experiment in coercive persuasion that has been carried out on an international scale, probably at the order of the likes of the Open Society Foundation and the World Economic Forum. If you can convince a significant number of people that basic scientific facts such as biological sex are debatable, essentially everything is debatable, including whether we deserve personal and national sovereignty. . .
I don't always look forward to June, it's usually the signal that the summer heat is here, and I have to be subjected to rainbows for the entire month...
1990, living in San Jose for work in the Bay Area, the school district had just brought councilors in both high school and middle school to discuss “alternative” lifestyles. I don’t mean careers. My first son was on the way. Locally, parents gave no attention, but in print in more than a few publications was the promise to “own” our children within the decade. At the time, it was primarily influence of boys/men. Now we see heavy lesbian recruitment starting at schools, libraries and all media. Randy Wrightgartner, former head of Education is still fighting for the cause. In Florida, I joined Mom’s for Liberty to insist on the parental rights to review curriculum and books in our library. Many friends, hearts broken accept but how do we teach the cousins, the next generation? Dr. Malone, thank you for the science and the statistics. Spiritual warfare at it’s finest and with two son’s, one married and one engaged…the parenting role is more challenging than ever.
It disgust me that it is in the same month as my Birthday!! Looking at the age diagram in the first one you can almost see when this nonsense started getting bigger. Call me strait laced but the Bible has very definite verses about this. All I can say is it is wrong to brain wash little children.
My daughter’s bday was 6/19 before it was Juneteenth. I know that’s different (sort of), but I hope that newfangled holiday fades away! Your birth month is a great one! Enjoy it!
I will say Target and other stores pride displays are wayyyy smaller and less in your face than in the early 2020s, thankfully. The alphabet soup group’s theft of the rainbow as its symbol feels evil and intentional. But God’s creation glory and His promise represented by the rainbow are eternal; their cause with rainbow as logo is not.
Yes way less alphabet promotion in my area, Portland, Oregon, of all places and tons of those types here. June is the month of the Family and the Sacred Heart in my faith. This kind of lifestyle does not fit with church teachings but we kicked God out of the country so we see what rushed in...there will be a reckoning when we shake a fist at God.
I recently learned that the ten heavily armed assassins / terrorists that attacked the Alvarado, TX. ICE facility are now convicted of terrorism with sentences averaging roughly 50 years. Three of the ten are transgender. That is 30%. People in the USA identifying as transgender are roughly 1% of our population. There have been five mass shootings in the U.S. involving transgender or non-binary individuals since January 2013. You mesh those data and it does not add up to high marks for the transgender population. Education needs another look at teaching our children that they may have been born in the wrong body. It's a chicken and egg debate on which came first; the sexual deviation or the predisposition for criminal activity. Regardless of that winner, transgenderism is statistically a societal threat.
And then there is the military. There was an incident where a "soldier" shot 6 of his fellow g.i.s (fortunately no fatalities) including his male fiance with whom he was having a lovers spat. It was precisely for this sort of instability, along with other factors, that homosexuality was taboo in our military.
Clearly there is grooming going on here, perhaps also to sterilize the next generation? Part of the push to reduce the population? What I also wonder is what effect hormone-disrupting environmental chemicals are having on babies and children. If atrazine can cause male frogs to become female, what effect are these having, especially to fetuses? We are awash in these chemicals, from pesticides, body care products, and plastics. Poor nutrition, which deprives the liver of the ability to detoxify these chemicals, surely would amplify their effect.
Then I wonder why are the feminists silent about men competing against women in sports, winning the prizes, and getting a good look in the locker rooms? After decades of working to put women’s sports on an equal footing? Why aren’t “trans men” (women) asking to be admitted to participate in men’s sports? Why are feminists silent about men who identify as women being allowed into women’s prisons and committing rape? Why are they silent about boys going into girls’ bathrooms and sexually assaulting girls? I strongly suspect that a lot of these men who “identify as women” are not trans, but are just taking advantage of a truly insane cultural situation that is endangering women. Feminists are silent for purely stupid political reasons that have nothing to do with empowering women but actually are putting women at risk.
I’m old enough to remember all the predictions folk made back in the 80s-90s about what mainstreaming homosexuality would wreak upon society - I dare say few of those concerns haven’t come about since.
Does anyone remember NAMBLA - North American Man Boy Love Assn (?), well, they disappeared — or did they?? The whole issue behind NAMBLA was the issue of "grooming" minor children. What’s happening now?
NAMBLA disappeared ⁉️
tbh, while I find these "other than M-F" sexually oriented relations to be aberrations, I’ve got little problem with them doing their own thing, IN THEIR PLACE (which pretty much was the issue behind Griswold and the like. But we’ve lost the battle as soon as we used THEIR language AND then let THEM appropriate our "practices" for theirs: example, marriage is now handed out like dime bags of buds. There were plenty of other legal instruments available to aberrant couples that would legally protect their relationship, but nothing less than debasing the definition of marriage was going to do, just like how family ghastly been bastardized, debased.
What SHOULD be protected is no longer and what DOESN’T warrant protection is.
Let's start with im 79. I've been on both sides of the fence. I was introduced to same sex by a couple when I was seven. You read that right
I was serially molested from age 5 by relatives, close friends, and by various boyfriends of my mom.. I seemed to be an unprotected and vulnerable child. In other words easy prey. So at 20 I decided to give it a go
with women. 30 years later I switched back. With my childhood experiences I learned that my body was currency. Hard to have a healthy attitude towards sex. Became extremely hyper sexual. Tried all kinds of kinks. And now I've been in a 23 year relationship with a man and no one else
All this to say in 30 years in the gay lifestyle I only went to two gay pride marches. I was so disgusted by the overt displays of a sexual mature I never went again. And now how ridiculous is it that it hss become PRIDE MONTH! What inGods name are they thinking. We don't need any of this stuff in our schools. Children will figure it out . And they'll ask questions when they're ready. There is no need for all this bruhaha around sexuality. Be what you are and just live your life like the rest of us. This coming from someone who is as far from a prude as it is possible. Let kids be kids
Great last name: back when I was but a Polliwog living in SW Miami, dad was a rabid Dolphins fan, even had season tickets ( 🤔 I think). Csonka is one of the names I remember. ANYWAY, sounds like you’ve outgrown and survived the wrong done to you - blessings. Your comment brought to fore something I’ve hounded about for 30, 40 years: growing up of all the traits we talk about, celebrate in our humanity, it wasn’t until someone in society decided we needed to see&hear, boldly/loudly, the homosexual class (vs just knowing they were there) that society want sexualized to such an extent. I’m of the mind that it wasn’t until the homosexual "movement" basically kept pushing what they could get away with publicly that even heterosexual overt sexuality was muted.
oth, I suppose you argue it was the mass integration of porn that pushed the sexualization of society. Just be so nice if the bounds weren’t so far flung.
Putting the Federal Government in charge of education was one of the worst decisions in our history. I quit teaching at a respected grad school when the provost changed one of my grades because a lazy student complained.
Public schools were and are much worse. We went from the top of the world, to near the bottom.
This is one of my beefs with Trump. Abolishing the Federal Department of Education was supposed to be high on his priority list. Absolutely nothing happened.
At 72 I have come to realize that most people, including most gays and lesbians, just want to live a peaceful life and be left alone. Yet, in all walks of life you will find those that have a need to be noticed. It's important for us to not generalize the gay and lesbian community as what we see in gay pride parades.
It is child abuse to expose children to these issues. Sexuality is personal, so keep it private and in the land of adults. I had a PT session yesterday, and I disagreed with my therapist, who said what matters in terms of fidelity is what both people agree upon. There is no moral component other than that. Morality arises from an understanding of what contributes to the health of the individual and society. Polyamory is not sustainable and destabilizes relational bonds over time. We are doomed, pornography has destroyed the sacred aspect of human sexuality, and it has become the norm. Marriage vows are broken upon entry, and marriages do not survive such use. It is foolish to promote birthing more innocents into the current state of sexual deviancy and digital infidelity in marriages. The sexual perversion gone mainstream has to be reversed first.
Yeah, my MAYOR is a great example. Flaming gay liberal. Google Joe Cobb Roanoke. It’s EMBARRASING! Hope it pulls up his Facebook profile pic with his rainbow bow tie and rainbow FEATHER BOA for you! 🤯🤮
Just read up on him. I don't know him, and I did read he has fought for equal rights for the LG+ community, which is humane. But why wear a rainbow bow tie? Why is an adult advertising sexual orientation? Yes, there has been a history of terrible abuse, but we have gone beyond that. The pendulum is swinging too far in the other direction, where young people feel they are not cool if they are boringly hetero, and it is causing enough confusion that they are willing to lop off body parts to fit in. We haven't moved much beyond the hedonism of ancient Rome, other than swapping out gladiators for digital versions at our fingertips.
I remember when Colorado was a bastion of conservatism, then all the freaks from California started migrating there. This is proof of the old saying ‘give an inch, take a mile.’ Marriage was a religious rite, co-opted by the state to make money. Gay marriage normalized, abnormal behavior & was the straw that broke the camel. Problem is once the genie is out of the bottle, it will never go back in.
In recent years, I wrote the following definitions as a kind of mental exercise to share with my husband, who formally studied logic many years ago. These are meant to be subtle and an antidote to binary polarized thinking, but could probably be improved. The * represents whatever group of people you want!
BIGOTRY
I think * behavior/values have a profoundly negative effect on society.
Therefore, I overall reject * and do not associate with * people except as strangers in unavoidable public settings.
I do not think * people should have legal rights, or even be allowed to exist in society.
All * people should be imprisoned or killed.
INTOLERANCE
I think * behavior/values have a negative effect on society.
Therefore, I overall reject * and do not associate with * people except as strangers in all public settings.
I do not think * people should have the same legal rights as non-* people.
However, * people should be allowed to live in society as second-class citizens.
TOLERANCE
I think * behavior/values have more negative than positive effects on society.
Therefore, I personally reject * and prefer not to associate with * people except as strangers in all public settings.
However, I think * people have the same legal rights as everyone else.
PARTIAL ACCEPTANCE
I think * behavior/values have a neutral effect on society. However, I personally reject * behavior/values because they contradict my own values.
Therefore, I am willing to associate with * people in work and/or casual social settings, but prefer not to have close friendships or romantic relationships with them.
I think * people have the same legal rights as everyone else.
FULL ACCEPTANCE
I personally accept * and think * behaviors/values have a neutral effect on society.
I am willing to associate with * people in all situations, including close friendships and romantic relationships.
I think * people have the same legal rights as everyone else.

Librarians have fallen into woke influence. My wife was booted from Nextdoor for noting the librarian association was plugging trans events for kids

How about no iPads or phones for children and teens?
When mental hospitals went away, the mental patients moved to schools, media and Gov 🤷🏼♂️
What is not discussed is the root causes of sexual dysfunction.
How do we seperate root from imagined?
Some of it is imprinting.

If you can convince a significant number of people that basic scientific facts such as biological sex are debatable, essentially everything is debatable, including whether we deserve personal and national sovereignty. . .
Great comment.
Enjoy it!
I understand I'm 73 so Juneteenth was unheard of back then.
Same month my Mom and I got married and millions of other brides.
And also pride is one of the 7 deadly sins and not something to celebrate!
Burqas for everyone! 😱
I hear you. Your life says much!
NOT YET. IT MUST…..
WELL, DUH!!! THE SWAMP DEFENDS SUCH OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOR. DON’T BLAME THOSE TRYING TO FIX THIS CORRUPTION AND GREED.
I EXPECT IT IS STILL HIGH ON TRUMP'S LIST. IT'S A LONG LIST WITH ITEMS LIKE THE SAVE ACT AT THE TOP.

Tolerance -> Acceptance -> Celebration -> Celebrate, or else.
I would change only your first line under FULL ACCEPTANCE, to read as follows:
I personally accept * and think * behaviors/values have a positive effect on society.
(Not my stance, but certainly the view of many rainbow influencers.)
It may yet, Sheila.
