Really appreciate the balance of this piece. Thank you.

What really upsets is the POWER that Senator Cassidy has. This is just wrong -- even if we agreed with him 100%.

No single person in government should have this much power. Period.

Nice take, Dr. Malone. If you can't get someone through the process, you have to get someone who can get through it. I've heard her a lot on Fox. I disagreed with her some, but I think overall she's a much better choice than it might be. I hope people see that some of this is incremental steps and we are making headway on health. You don't cut off your nose to spite your face on the way there.

In my view, the last Surgeon General who was allowed to work on behalf of the citizens in the US and help direct the future of medicine for us becoming a healthier nation was Dr, Koop. His and Dr. Kessler's mistake was wanting to control nicotine as a drug. Both were ostracized. Since then, if you do not have the political approval of Big Medicine and the goals of the SG and the medical establishment are not in alignment, you are not qualified to be the SG medical thought leader. Dr. Cassidy of course is the lead voice in determining who is acceptable. Considering the fact that they are trying to ostracize RFK Jr from NIH speaks volumes that they DO NOT WANT Americans to be healthier. It dampens the medical and food money boys from maximizing the bottom line. In turn the majority of our congressman ignore this issue because of the revenue streams from these entities that keep them in office. SG through the Covid crisis was 100% in alignment with the goals of Big Pharma and etc. The great harm created in the last 5 years is still being denied. Sad state of affairs.

We already don't have to worry about Thom Tillis anymore. Louisiana Republicans, please see that on May 16, we don't have to worry about Bill Cassidy anymore. Go Julia!

Objective, factual, and fairly presented. So refreshing. Thank You. 🙏

What I find impressive?

Joey and Gizmo are in the midst of a loud lovers' spat. Gonzo has gone gonzo, running around pulling out peacock feathers and ruining regal displays. The horses are unsettled, and overturning all the drinking water basins, and the tractor is rolling across the pasture with no one on it.

Through it all, Dr. Malone can coolly appraise the complexities of the surgeon general situation, and provide a straightforward analysis. Wow.

Only you could provide this kind of important informational jump off point so quickly, your insight is appreciated. Who cares where she went to medical school! Is she a good physician, because that really matters. Based on your information she is. There is no perfect nomination. Hopefully the Fools in DC can at least pretend to be American Representatives for a short time and correctly sort this nomination out.

This comment is concerning:.

"Saphier did a Fox News Digital piece on MMR that is the single most relevant documentary item for understanding her current position. She endorsed

the MMR vaccine as “important and lifesaving."

Please go to this commentary I posted on FB regarding MMR. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18hVCrx5NB

I submit MMR is neither important nor net lifesaving. Deaths following MMR reported in VAERS far exceeds the number from the dusease.

Furthermore, it is beyond credible reputation that it has caused and does cause autism. So say former government preferred expert medical witnesses for the VICP program Special Master process Drs. Richard Kelly and Andrew Zimmerman, both of whom changed their opinion from formerly defending against a causal relationship. You can easily find their recent publicly posted affidavits so stating. And the Hannah Poling case before the Special Master settlement awarded $1.5 million for autism caused by vaccines including MMR in the presence of an underlying mitochondrial disorder.

When it comes to vaccines & the medical community in general, I am reminded of the expression, "Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up". Apart from their medical journals, it is doubtful that any of them have read "Dissolving Illusions", "Turtles All The Way Down", & "Vaccines, Amen". I would also like to know Dr. Saphier's thoughts on conventional mammography for women, since there is a whole school of thought on why they are risky & ill-advised. There is much to take into consideration with this nominee.

Here is one article about conventional mammography for women by Jeff Barke, MD, from 4/30/2025..https://unbekoming.substack.com/p/mammograms-under-scrutiny-10-reasons?utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=web. There is a recent follow-up article which can be found on the Unbekoming.substack.com site

Super informative and helpful in learning about someone many of us had not heard of prior to this nomination. Thank you!

On a separate note, I just happened to catch you live last night, Dr. M, on Senator Ron Johnson's COVID injuries event in Congress, on YouTube. You were fantastic and provided an eloquent rebuttal to Sen. Blumenthal's ill-founded pronouncements against your record and against your meme metaphor from months ago. I thought you sleighed it (and if any snowflake liberal is reading this - that too is a metaphor!). Kudos to you for standing up for the truth and standing up to the ridiculous smears. Anyone with any intellectual honesty would easily understand the meme in question's symbolic meaning. Your rigorous defense of it as humor was exceptionally well-done!

GAWD....I hate politics.

I hate that politics has ANYTHING to do with medicine.

In veterinary medicine there is less politics, but decisions are still made on an institutional level that have little to nothing to do with medical principles and are all about scratching someone's back(usually Zoetis aka Pfizer).

All of this is just blather to me. I want someone there that is always going to make decisions based on what's best for the patient, damn the politics....but I realize that will never happen....and that is very frustrating.

How will Cassidy targeting a black woman sit with the average Louisiana voter?

I appreciate these notable points of Dr. Nicole Saphier’s qualifications. HOWEVER, the most exceptional Surgeon General to serve this country and its people is Dr. Robert Malone. No other comes close to the clinical record, experience, expertise, dedicated public service and passion of Robert Malone. The extraordinary team of Drs. Robert and Jill Malone come as a package of two. At every turn in American healthcare, that is a team ‘worth sitting with’.

Thank you for this write-up! I couldn't be more appreciative!

As relates to Dr Saphier, the little I've come across seemed to portray her as remarkably unimpressive. The facts you've identified are far more promising. My concepts of the role of Surgeon General are a product of the OBiden administration. It seemed to add up to a meaningless rubber stamp for the Administration. So my present attention is focused on what the role itself will be, as well as the individual selected to fulfill that role.

As for the AAP v Kennedy affair. I find it would be difficult to be more offended by the Administrations treatment of the matter! That they have so belatedly filed a Notice to Appeal doesn't molify! I appreciate your observation that the thrust of the Appeal will inform on how serious they are.The fact that every day that passes, more children and adults who receive the vaccinations are being exposed to potential harms (note Senator Johnson's evidences presented at his hearing yesterday for one source of relevant records) furthered by Goverment inaction, is not forgivable!

I will being attempting close attention to both of these issues and particularly to your reporting and insights! I will be most interested in the litigation. Imo, this relates to the most greivious and offending inactions by this Administration to date!

I see the weather people are predicting an exceptionally cool May. Will be interested in how that would work out for all the plantings, hatching and new critters. Hoping for successes whatever.

Well, I didn’t read anything that bothered me and much I did like. I’ve heard her a couple times - probably mostly on Clay&Buck since I don’t get FoxNewz and nothing there bothered me.

Frankly, this seems like a case of "the perfect is the enemy of the good" situation if she runs into grievous protestations.

Thank you for laying out the important information regarding the new Surgeon General pick, Dr Nicole Saphier. To me, she appears to be a good pick, a MAHA author before MAHA was born, defining chronic health issues as a problem particularly with diet and supporting vaccines conditionally. There is much to like there. Her personal background is exemplary, and her cancer treatment credentials are extremely important at this time. I hope Senator Cassidy is not going to throw his weight around to nix another nominee simply because he can and probably carry Murkowski and Collin’s with him.

I will look forward to your comments following her hearing.
